I found this in my drafts omg. Think I did this already but why not a few more bc hell yesss God AU I love it. a refresher of the founders gods au for anyone interested

• He’s so MAD at himself okay
• First of all… romance? He doesn’t have time for that. And romance with a human?? No thank you
• Tobirama thinks humans are annoying and a plight to the earth (and the seas, obviously, being God of the Sea and all that)
• He probably falls in love with a human that visits the ocean often (and respects the ocean too… Tobirama drinks his Respect the Ocean Juice and the human better too)
• But yeah he doesn’t venture onto land very much at all, so the only way he’s really meeting this human is if they come near his domain
• May or may not purposely have really beautiful shells show up on shore in the mornings knowing that his human will find them later in the day
• Like… on the occasion that he does go on land, it’s only to do some sort of favor for his human amour. Maybe he’ll secretly leave fresh-caught fish on their doorstep… y’know, to make sure they have something to eat… Times are tough in the human world. Tobirama doesn’t want them to starve
• As a god, he can do whatever tf he wants. So imagine: he gives his human s/o the gift of underwater breathing and introduces them to all the sea life awwwwWWWWW
• They get to see all kinds of flora and fauna they’ve never even dreamed of. It’s super romantic. Good job Tobirama
• Oh also UNDERWATER KISSES? YES PLEASE.
• All the other gods in this AU (mainly the Uchiha bros) will NEVER let Tobirama live this down if they find out he’s falling in love with a human, even if he staunchly denies it. It’s ironic as hell because Tobirama has always talked down on humans. So the Uchiha brothers are eating this up
• So is Hashirama, but he’s mostly ELATED for his brother because omg

• His admiration is done from afar, and it honestly wouldn’t be a surprise if it took him months or years to even have an actual conversation with the woman. They’ve maybe had some chit chat in passing, but nothing very intimate
• Still, those little moments sort of stick with him—despite how silly he knows it is to hold onto trivial interactions—and he always remembers the little smile she had on her face that one morning, or the sweet, chipper way she told him ‘Good evening, Tomioka-san’ a few weeks ago
• Giyuu may or may not take purposeful detours if he knows he’ll cross her path. Even if he’s not going to talk to her, he at least gets to look at her. But he convinces himself that these detours aren’t taken on purpose—of course they aren’t. It’s ridiculous, after all, to change his routine all for the sake of catching one glimpse of this woman. Of course he wouldn’t waste his own time like that
• Eventually yeah, he’ll end up talking to her somehow. It’s not that he necessarily needs to work up the courage; circumstances just need to align to give him the opportunity. He’s still got quite a bit of pride, so he’s not going to go out of his way to talk to her. He’s still trying to convince himself that he’s not as interested as he actually is
• Honestly that’s probably why he’s willing to interact with her: he thinks that if he finally talks to her and doesn’t just gawk at her from afar that his silly little crush will lose its momentum. That’s why he’s not worried about indulging it just a little. He hopes that getting up close and personal will actually prove underwhelming and get rid of the crush all together
• It backfires
• It’s worse now that he’s actually talking to her and getting to know her because damn it... he really likes the sound of her voice, and she’s so interesting, and he likes it when she talks about herself, and ugh he really did it to himself 
• She does the most talking tbh. At least, when they’re not just sitting together in silence; he does like the silence sometimes: merely idling beside her, enjoying her company. It’s peaceful
• But yeah he doesn’t mind if she’s doing all the talking. Sometimes, truthfully, he’s not interested in everything she’s saying, but he likes to hear her talk, regardless
• And he’s always got an ear for listening if she has any issues she wants to talk through. He always has advice for her
• That advice is as blunt as it normally is; he won’t mollycoddle her no matter how fond he is of her. But it’s advice, nevertheless. He wants to help where he can
• He’s tenacious about keeping his physical distance—he’s not a fan of PDA and especially tries to keep his hands to himself when it comes to this woman, because sometimes he has a very strong urge to indulge something as simple as brushing shoulders with her 
• Once he’s a bit more comfortable, his touches are bolder, but still very refined—like gently pulling a fallen leaf out of her hair, patting dirt off her sleeve, brushing an eyelash off her cheek 
• (That last one is done very innocently, but after he realizes what he’s done, he may or may not blush because oh wow that was really intimate) 
• Behind the scenes, he does favors for her that she may never even know about. But he’s fine with that
• But soon enough his favors are barefaced
• Say there are some pretty worrisome demon sightings in the area. Tomioka gives her some sort of jewelry or maybe... a hair pin, made with properties of Wisteria
• He says it’s for her protection, and holds fast to that mentality even in his own head because no, of course it’s not a “gift”, it’s simply for her own good. It’s for her protection ok it’s just a rational thing. He encourages everyone to take precautions when it comes to demons even though everyone does not receive gifts from him for protection
• To which she may reply (if they’re comfortable enough to tease each other) that she’s grateful, but what’s a little trinket compared to him? Her own personal, bonafide demon slayer?
• He does get a little kick out of that, and tells her with a small smile that he wants to make sure she’s safe even when he’s not around
• (He does not realize how gushy that sounds until he’s walking home. He comes to a halt, reminiscences on the encounter, and is like... omg did I really say that?)
