anon requested flint in the style of wanderer above the sea of fog by caspar david friedrich, and since it’s such a lovely painting, who am i to not take the opportunity. :) although it turned out far less melancholy, because apparently i still can’t stand flint being too melancholy. (also, went with a more setting appropriate location.)

this was heavily inspired by @vowel-in-thug‘s absolutely perfect fic, st. augustine is that way, since i pretty much need all the domestic silverflint to brace for s4 which will most likely destroy me.

this fandom is so eloquent and then there’s me who couldn’t manage a proper about me page since i made an account :’D anyhow onto the point i’m bangnine, an eastern european twenty-something illustration student currently living in the uk.

tolkien had been part of my life pretty much since i was 5, but i only discovered this ship after watching botfa. ever since i had a soft spot for it not in small part because of the amazing fandom (so much great art, fic and edits, and so little drama:). lately i haven’t been very active due to some real life issues, and my current main obsession, black sails, but when i am, i draw fanart (and when i don’t, i procrastinate on my sideblog come talk to me).

now onto the cheez: thank you @barduil for organizing all these lovely events, @northerntrash for writing some of my favourite barduil fics and being an all around lovely person, and @allfatherthor for writing an amazing fic for me for the previous barduil gift exchange (i so owe you a lengthy thank you comment for it 💙💙💙), if you guys haven’t read it yet do it now: The Wounds We Share

i was told you love modern aus, so here’s barduil living together somewhere in recent days (in a lakeside house, with a lot of nature around it). i sort of imagine bard having a job that requires him to get up at ungodly hours, which thranduil disapproves of, but once he’s woken up he just shuffles after bard into the kitchen half asleep demanding coffee and cuddles until he wakes up proper. hope you like it. 🙂

just a little reminder that i’m around, just super busy with my studies and work, so i have little to no time for fanarts (it’ll get better around the end of april). however i do run a queue on my fandom/etc (currently a star wars/tolkien/harry potter mess) sideblog so go check it out. i also answer the messages i get, just a bit slower than usual, please bear with me :)

i was your secret santa for the barduil event, so i went with the hogwarts!au, aka the not so secret romantic adventures of groundskeeper!bard and dada professor!thranduil (bard was interrupted while dragging the trees into the castle. not like it’s an issue for him really). hope you like it. 😉

hello new and old followers :)

don’t worry text posts are not a thing here, but since so many of you followed me this summer i thought it’s time for one. to the point:

continuation of the night’s king au. (i changed the design of thranduil’s crown. i figured this would fit better with his whole ‘otherness’.)

Since I have two blogs thus two icons, I did both. Thorin in today’s clothes, rocking my harem trousers and Bard in yesterdays wearing boyfriend jeans.

Also, I tried out a bit more simplified style, because I’m not very good at it and I need practice.
