Imagine Eddie and Tommy both show up to the hospital after Buck's gotten injured and they start fighting about who should take him home (it starts passive aggressive then evolves into loud arguing)

meanwhile Bobby's got Buck in a wheelchair and is already wheeling him toward the exit

Controversial opinion but I don't actually want Buck and Eddie to get together this season. Buck only just now figured out he likes men, he needs more time to figure everything out and I think Tommy is the right person for that.

Eddie has probably never questioned his sexuality before so he needs to have that realization first and then once he accepts who he is, and ONLY THEN, would he and Buck get together and stay together. Any earlier and it would be a disaster.

I've been a Buddie stan since the beginning but as someone who's been a queer person even longer, I want them to take this slow and with the time and respect they deserve

I don’t think yall understand how meaningful it is to have Oliver say “when you close your eyes it all feels the same” (kissing on screen). The fact that he doesn’t laugh it off, or say he had to push through it, or that it was a little weird like other actors have in the past is so incredibly important. This is him portraying a character and his sexuality, and it’s so validating to have the actor do his job the way Oliver has, in such a caring, positive way. It’s the feeling of finally belonging, of blending in when you’ve been marginalized and picked out all your life. Love is love, and a kiss is just a kiss.

I could never ever close on Buddie. These fuckers dead ass introduced Eddie through Buck’s pov, while he’s half naked, and “Whatta Man” is playing in his head. That’s how you fucking introduce a love interest. I’m not believing for one second that there were no plans for Buddie in the beginning bc point blank you don’t introduce a new character like that and not have them be a love interest. Especially when you zoom in on another character that can possibly be the love interest. And in the place of a previous love interest who’s no longer around. Anyone can talk all they want but some of the most romantic scenes on this show have included Buck and Eddie. That shooting scene? The entire thing was sooo romantically coded and they were the only two there. Eddie fucking reaching out to Buck as he’s slowly losing consciousness? Buck doing everything he can to keep Eddie with him? That’s some of the most romantic shit we’ve seen on this show. They have been paralleling the other main couples for yearssss. They’re co-parenting a child together. Eddie literally put Buck in his fucking will as his child’s legal guardian which is the equivalent of a fucking love confession, considering romance novels are also using that kind of thing as a love confession. This is one of the greatest slow burn love stories that we are witnessing in the history of television and it’s so beautiful to see. And now we have one half confirmed to be queer which means it’s closer than ever. Whether it was truly intentional or not, the actors themselves see the beautiful bond those two characters have and continue to breathe life into them in such an authentic and gentle way. They have been leaning into that role even without prior knowledge or guidance bc even they can see what a beautiful story they’re telling for Buck and Eddie. And it’s so wholesome to see two masculine men who explore and embrace their sexualities later on in life. And that they happened to find that love and connection with their best friend possibly. Yall cannot catch me closing on these two ever because no fucking partner can match the love and commitment they have to each other. They are going to go down in history as one of the greatest love stories on television. We’re all here witnessing history being made.

I think too many people are taking what Lou said about the kiss with Eddie “falling through” wrong. No where does he say Ryan refused. He said the plans for it fell through. Meaning the actress who played bucks gf couldn’t come back to film but Eddie’s could. They just went another direction, that does not mean Ryan refused to kiss a man. He’s played gay roles in the past and has never been negative about buddie, if anything he’s embracing it more than ever now. And honestly I think a more long term coming out makes way more sense for Eddie than a random kiss to get him to realize. He’s got so much repression and comphet going on he needs time. I’m not sure just one kiss would do it for him or he would react the same way buck did right away with just accepting who he was. He’s spent years just trying to find a mom for Chris and ignoring everything he’s wanted. This won’t be quick and easy for him.

"Buck and Eddie are endgame," I say into the mic.

The crowd boos. I begin to walk off in shame, when a voice speaks and commands silence from the room.

"She's right," they say. I look for the owner of the voice: Ryan Guzman and Oliver Stark themselves, clutching their AO3 fic recs.

As a bisexual who is incredibly excited about Buck's story this season and can relate to a lot of it, i want to say something that i can't believe some people will find controversial: Eddie has been queercoded JUST AS MUCH as Buck has this ENTIRE time. And saying you don't care about buddie happening is kinda insinuating you don't care about Eddie getting is own queer storyline and getting thrugh his catholic guilt to find his own freedom. I am SO HAPPY that buck is bisexual and free and i am loving his storyline, but Eddie deserves this freedom too. Anyone who suffered thrugh Supernatural knows that Eddie being straight is just as queerbating as it would have been if Buck stayed straight too and not advocating for that rappresentation is unfair. I am not an older gay man who has been repressing his true self with years worth of catholic guilt and loveless relationships with women, and i cannot imagine how hard that must be. But i know for a fact it's a real thing that many people go thrugh and is a story worth telling, and Eddie is the perfect character to convay the reality of that experience. Why are some people settling? Bucks bisexuality is an incredible victory worth celebrating, and i understand how starved for rapresentation we are as a community, i really do. But we need and should ask for what is right and true to the story instead of getting a little something and immediatly giving up

BUDDIE SNIPPET - The Dream

Ok so I've got so much stuff I've written that no one's seen yet, and this is a dream sequence I wrote for my slowburn canon dancer!Eddie fic that I just had to share. Rest of snippet under cut. Enjoy !

“Come back to bed, baby.” Shannon called, softly. She was wearing a pale nightgown, the kind with lace and satin that melted beneath your fingers. They were in Eddie’s bathroom in his LA home.

Eddie looked back at her, her soft features, her long brown hair. He was about to make a move to join her when the firehouse bell rang.

“I can’t, I have a call.” Eddie answered back, apologetically.

i think that buck needs to be bisexual before he can realize his feelings for eddie, but eddie needs to realize his feelings for buck before he can comprehend his sexuality
