Grenier’s companion is dead. The young Humanist male - practically still a kid - is dead. Their guardian is dead. Even the girl - Varek’s own fucking niece - is dead. 

But the bodies Sonja wanted to see are nowhere to be found. Tracks leading off make it obvious that this whole plan - one she didn’t like to begin with - was a failure. Just like she’d known, deep in her gut, it would be. It would be too neat, too easy, too perfect.

the funniest thing to me about the folgers incest commercial is that those two characters absolutely did not have to be siblings. the ad would have worked just as well if they were in a long distance relationship and he came home. instead, folgers corporate saw two actors dripping with the most insane carnal sexual heat chemistry in the history of visual media and said yep looks like an average brother and sister duo to me. and that’s what christmas is about, charlie brown
