In case you were unaware, Ren and Stimpy is getting a reboot on Comedy Central, and at least one episode of that reboot has been leaked online. For reasons I’ll get to in a bit I won’t share the leak here, but as I’m writing this it’s really easy to find. It doesn’t even seem like Nick/Paramount/Viacom can be bothered to take it down (for now).
When I first heard about this reboot and that it was going to be on Comedy Central instead of Nickelodeon, I had my…reservations. Ren and Stimpy very infamously already had a reboot aimed at adults, and it bombed so bad that half the episodes never made it to air. Granted, I think a lot of that can be pinned on Spike TV letting John K run wild at the time, and John has no involvement in this new reboot (thank god). But then again, neither does anyone else who worked on the original show. Not a good sign.
But hey, who knows. Maybe it’ll be a hidden gem. So, what are my thoughts after watching the leaked episode?

I keep seeing this “would you rather be stuck with a man or a bear in the woods” question and I’m kind of baffled at the response? Why is everyone choosing the bear. That’s a fucking BEAR dude.
Let’s go for the worst possible scenario for both situations and assume that both the man and the bear want to kill you. I would much rather take a gun/knife/strangulation over being EATEN ALIVE by the bear. There are few things in this world I would take over being mauled to death by a giant animal.
While bears are generally pretty passive and docile, here’s a secret…a lot of men are, too! Not every guy is Rapey McMurderson and I’m tired of being fed the narrative that all men are trash. Obviously running into anyone In The Woods™ is pretty sus, but you’re there too, right? What makes you any more or less likely to be burying bodies out there than he is? I think it’s just as fair to assume that the bear is agitated and hungry as it is to assume that the man is out to hurt you. And, in that case, see my point above.
Ultimately if I was in this scenario I wouldn’t trust either of them, but I would be quicker to open up to the man than the literal actual bear.
Btw all the creepy incels miffed about women choosing the bear are also weirdos. “Women would rather fuck a bear than a white guy” “women say this then date drug dealers” please look in the mirror and realize that you’re part of the problem asshole
