Going through drafts from pre-hiatus and I know we've all long moved on and there are a million ongoing current shows to talk about, but I have to shout out the way ambiguous language is used in A Breeze of Love so well so that the same scenes get re-contextualized as we learn more about what happened in the past and as the characters learn about what's going on. It was a really fun and different kind of reveal. In particular, I'm obsessed with "I just want to sleep with him" as an overheard line without context. Absolutely fantastic.

Okay okay but listen. Yak and Dee have liked their respective crushes for so long that those feelings are a crutch. They are used to being hurt by one-sided love. So naturally they cling to the pain they know they can survive. The second they acknowledge that those crushes are over and they have mutual love and affection for each other, the second that becomes real, so does the potential pain and hurt. And both of them know that the pain the other can cause them is so much greater than what they experienced before. They don't want to lose each other. So they will cling to their past loves while actively being in love with each other. Because the past is but a distant memory of pain but the future they have together can destroy them if they aren't careful.
