“It’s okay for shikshins to want to do other things, Soo. I promise.” She teased with a gentle squeeze of her hand. “But you’re right. To get rid of a hangover you have to feed it or sweat it out, but I don’t fancy a workout. Maybe a sauna visit?” Wandering off to a spa sounded like heaven in that moment. She could use a nice full body massage and a long soak, and she was sure her buddy wouldn’t say no to one either. Maybe they could go later? 

Nodding her head in agreement, a bright grin tugged at her lips. “You’re so cute and devious. This is why we’re soulmates. You are down to lie for me and fake illness.That is a true friend!” She laughed as images of an Oscar worthy performance played out in her head. They made a good team.  

“Okay, don’t panic now.”

That was never a good way to console someone, and usually, Yoona wouldn’t. But right now, in the tense situation she was in, there was nothing else she could think of as she approached the wary looking Sooyoung with the object of fear in her arms. The feline obviously knew something was up because he too mustered the idol warily and meowed for good measure as he was carried over to be handled over. Sooyoung had promised her younger friend to try getting along with her cat, at least once, but only after the actress had basically sworn that Max won’t hate her or hurt her either. Truthfully, she could never guarantee that he wouldn’t scratch, but for the sake of them both, Yoona had left that detail out.

“See, he’s friendly. I’ll sit down next to you now, keep him on my lap, and you two can get used to each other.” Yoona instructed gently whilst sitting down on the spot next to Sooyoung, who was visibly not pleased about this plan of hers. But there was no going back, not now. As soon as Max had settled on her lap somewhat comfortably, the idol spoke up again. “He’s so cute, right? Come on, pet him just once. Max loves that.”

Sooyoung sat on the couch and was visually trying to find a way out of the situation. She wasn’t sure why she even agreed in the first place - she was sure: it was because Yoona’s happiness was her most important point of interest. Nevertheless, her entire physique showed her displeasure, fear and unease. She was never a cat person, and she was honestly reluctant to start now. Most of her experiences with cats had ended badly, and rumour had it this wouldn’t go well either.  Her eyes frantically moved around the room, trying to find something - anything - to stare at other than Yoona or the animal in her arms. Merely the sound of meowing coming from the bundle of fur in her member’s arms was enough to send Sooyoung quivering, pressing herself further into the corner of the couch. 

“A joke?” She ensured her interrogative statement came with a long and disappointed “Aw!” and a pout. “And I who looked forward to send a message to him via your cellphone in order to get his permission– you know, since we are both free, I’ve figure we could go on a date now and not waste time!” Her tone became cheerful near the end, her cheeky smile ruining her previous act. “I guess I’ll give you the bath bombs for him! Or you can just pass the message that they are his, but you kept them. That’s also an option.”

“You’ll really go?! Yay!” She exclaims, a grin forming on her face to show her excitement, and it brightens up when the other speaks up again. “Sooyoung unnie replaced by another Sooyoung unnie? The Red Velvet inception! I’m sure they’ll cheer when you get on stage!”
