Two sticks of Aruji-san’s special dango… not a bad prize at all. Before Hasebe could answer he blushed more upon feeling the tip of the pocky stick against his bottom lip. Well, this certainly sounded like an interesting challenge and it wasn’t a game that he had played before. It should be fun playing a game with his boyfriend, even though he might die of embarrassment.

“I suppose I am a little interested.” He pouted when Shokudaikiri suggested having the dango himself. Certainly winning this challenge is something that Hasebe could tell Aruji-san about; something Hasebe can add to his list of skills. “Shall we begin then?”

“Hm! Let’s start.” Despite his tone, he might sound confident but he really is a little anxious about it. Even just sitting next to Hasebe at mealtimes makes him blush. Kissing...sure they done it a few times and both of them would be blushing so much they might as well put a steam bun on their head. He placed the stick of pocky between his lips and waited for his boyfriend to do the same. 

Alastrina looked at herself, then back at the man. Their clothes look nothing alike other than having pieces of armor on certain areas of their body. But nothing else to give the impression of her being a trustworthy comrade.

Even she’d think she’s suspicious if Alastrina were in his shoes.

However she shouldn’t look at the gift by the horse’s mouth.

“Aha…Thank you very much. But….please be more suspicious of people appearing randomly at your house..”

‘You’ll make me worry for your safety, Mr. Stranger…..’

But getting back onto the subject at hand, Alastrina wondered how far is ‘far’ when the other said they’d be travelling by foot.

“Oh! Well, if you’re sure, then yes, we can go together if you don’t mind. Thank you for helping me. My name is Alastrina. Sorry for barging into your house…”

“Ah... I ..personally wouldn’t worry much about ‘dangerous’ visitors. You see, I’m not the only one here there’s a few more people like me tending to the citadel...but noted I will.” He adjusted the empty basket in his arms. 

“Not a problem, although it’s not really my house... it’s my master’s... Ah forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. I’m Shokudaikiri Mitsutada a katana once wield by Date Masamune.” 

Non-romantic fluff starters

She couldn’t help, but whine a bit at the tachi. She wanted to finish her work. Her father never leaves anything unfinished. But at least the one eye tachi is willing let her write a bit more She nodded and started to write again. She turn the page from her book to write out more numbers.

“ …I just got to write out the request for more- ” She was soon cut off by letting out another cough. She cover her mouth again, but the coughing kept happening four more times.

Getting up from where he was sitting he walked over where there was a pot of hot water. By now cool since it was neglected to be used for tea. Pouring a little into a mug he made his way back to the little saniwa and offered it to her. 

“One more, that’s what master has requested, and... done. Come now, you need rest for that nasty cold of yours. If it gets any worst I have no choice but to ask Yagen-kun to look after you. He is quite skilled in this field.” 

He smiled, practically forcing himself to finish the sake he had in front of him not wanting to seem rude about not drinking it. Maybe this was a mistake though, because now Masumi just felt like he wanted to sleep. “Haha, of course I consider you a friend, Mitsu-kun. The Sadakichi family is probably the only family my parents were friends with that actually had a child I could play with. Those meetings sure were boring when I didn’t have anyone my age to play with.”

He closed his eyes a little before opening them again to look over at Mitsutada. “Now why would you want to get transferred? Besides, since you and your family own the company you can practically work from home can’t you?”

“Hmmmm I agree with you... those family meetings were definitely boring to sit in..” He takes another sip of sake, for a drunk looking thoughtful at the next question. 

“That’s not a bad idea, though.. you know me getting stuck at home all week long I get cabin fever. Though at home I could go anywhere I want once work is done... “ But at home meant he wouldn’t.. “One problem... I wouldn’t be able to see him...but that’s kinda the point of working not at home..” 

“I’ve only seen the little tantous with a water gun.” There was no need to mention that they had given one to hide since he had so many layers. That and Mikazuki wasn’t the kind of person to just randomly spray someone else with water.

“...Only the little tantous hm?” Narrowing his eye, he gave Mikazuki one look of suspicion. Before relaxing his facial features and looking around. “Mikazuki-san... may I ask you I ask you a question?” 

“So do you understand this job fully? Or do I have explain it again?”

“Aye, keep it clean, quiet and ensure the message was delivered clearly. Hm.. do we need to add more dramatics on this job?” 

I periodically think of this and can’t help but laugh
