I feel like the way I use this app is vaguely confusing so I’m making a pinned post deal with it

Hello my name is G I’m 22 and my pronouns are she/they

(I have a lot of nicknames so if I’ve explicitly told you you can call me something else ur good but if not call me G plz and ty)

This is my main blog! Where I reblog memes, anything that particularly interests me or makes me laugh, and my favorite things that I didn’t love SO much that I wanted to dedicate an entire sideblog to (Bc that’s a lot of work)

As my bio reflects, other than memes, the things I post about on here are mostly

- Stranger Things

- Marvel (mostly Spiderman)

- Dead Poets Society

- Criminal Minds

- Markiplier

And

- Saw

I’m also autistic and my special interest is Fall Out Boy (which I actually do have a side blog for) so feel free to talk to me about that too if you’d like!

My top 5 favorite movies are:

1. Dead Poets Society

2. Saw (the first one)

3. Coraline

4. Spiderman: into the spider-verse

5. Bullet train

fuck it, i never ever do those “reblog for X, this one really works!” posts, but this one doesn’t have any of that BS, this is just straight up wishing us good things; and then the comment doesn’t even say any of that either. Zero claims on this post, all positive vibes

May you end this week feeling ever more certain of a future you’ll love

You know all the other YouTubers are watching this and taking notes for the future.

And TryGuys...better not try this yet. I know you bought a domain!

Gotta say after thinking on it for a while... Watcher acting like they can't survive on Youtube as a company with lots of employees and several expensive to produce series, while Try Guys is alive and thriving as far as I'm aware even after the cheating scandal thing... sure is interesting.

something about the current situation that feels so gross to me is the sudden vitriolic hatred towards steven lim??? yes, as the ceo he probably helped make the decision to start watcher tv. but before this whole dilemma, wasn't steven "super underappreciated" and hyped up constantly by the fandom??? weren't there hundreds of posts begging for more steven content??? wasn't there a lot of excitement about steven possibly getting his own show??? it just seems strange that people claimed to love him so much but are spewing some awful insults towards him now???

(note: this isn't talking about anyone criticizing steven or the company. this is talking about people blaming EXCLUSIVELY steven or excessively hate posting about him. critique and analysis are healthy ways to stimulate discussion and utilize critical thinking)

the fact that they haven’t come out with a statement yet makes me wonder if they’re following the Try Guys’ tactics of buckling down to manage the crisis. The problem with that strategy is that the Try Guys had sympathy from their audience for what occurred. They had a “bad guy” that the internet could pin blame on (and rightly so), even in the short term before all the details came out. The Try Guys could afford to take a few days to collect themselves before really rolling out official statements and crisis management because the internet was already mostly on their side by the time the Ned story really went mainstream.

Watcher doesn’t have any of that. They don’t have time, and they definitely don’t have our sympathy for what’s transpired. Their window for a response is getting smaller and smaller, and even if they dropped a statement right this second, I still don’t know if it would be enough to sway people back to their cause. They can’t follow the Try Guys’ blueprint for PR crisis management even if they want to.

They need to say something. Soon.

No hate to Steven or anything and a lot of the flack he's gotten in the yt comments is unwarranted, but one thing I think is interesting is how on Watcher he was painted as a business-guru type and yet he was like... a chemical engineering major. Like so was I for most of college and you know what we never learned? How to run a business

Here's the thing about Dropout: they had stuff ready by the time the site was announced. The first season of dimension 20 was filmed before Brennan was even officially a collegehumor cast member. They had seasons ready to drop. They had teasers for those shows ready to go. They promised the return of fan favorite Um Actually and Jake and Amir.

Watcher has not done that. They have one possible show and other nebulous ideas but there's no clear reason why I should sign on except they need more money. I don't know what Im getting out of this switch except the same stuff but now 6 dollars. Do you understand what I'm saying
