people are also currently asking board to ban saying that the founding of israel was colonialism—equating this to saying racial slurs—and were complaining about my status back when it was "palestine will be free", too

suffice to say, fuck that place, don't give the OTW your money, and don't fucking volunteer there

From the river to the sea

its been rly heartening to see big tumblr accounts with a specific theme (or bit) take a moment to raise awareness for palestine. in many ways being vocally pro-palestine is far, far more important than donations right now. palestinians have said so too. if it weren't it wouldn't be so risky for people to speak out. its a war on human life but it's also a war on the very memory, culture and history of the palestinian people. we can help them fight the second one just by posting. solidarity matters more than anything in this moment.

Donating is important, but currently it does nothing for Gaza. Nothing whatsoever. It is under such an extreme blockade that nothing will enter Gaza until Israel is finished with it, at which point it will already be too late.

If you want to help - amplify Palestinian voices. CHALLENGE Zionism & Zionist rhetoric everywhere you see it. The risks Palestinians take just sharing messages from their families are bigger than I believe most people know. The bare minimum we as Palestinians ask is that you use your voice wherever you can, & support those doing the same.

Nearly 4 years ago I painted this to work through the horror of witnessing 34 Palestinians murdered by israeli bombs and tens of thousands displaced in only two days, while being surrounded by utter indifference and silence from my uni mates and society. What is happening now exceeds the bounds of horror, I truly have never felt so utterly hollow. I dont understand how i can be in the midst of such depravity and evil, yet the world remains the same. People go about their day as usual, others are too cowardly to even send an email to condemn the one thing everyone had agreed one was wrong; genocide. But people here want history books to make the decisions for them. I know tomorrow we will wake up to no news, because there is no internet anymore, or to the news of thousands of more murdered Palestinians. I have no more respect for the people around me
