Sweaty Palms is an autobiographical comics anthology focused on stories about anxiety. The book contains more than 350 pages of beautiful black and white stories by 50 incredible indie cartoonists. The contributors have been generous enough to share their deeply personal experiences with the world. We’ve collected their stories to present a very intimate and comprehensive look at what it’s like living with anxiety.

Look at all the cool books we’re debuting at TCAF this weekend! We’ve all been so busy getting comics and zines ready. We’re super jazzed for the weekend!
We’ll be debuting the 2nd volume of our group anthology, titled ‘Iron Friendship’! (Kat Verhoeven did the cover, the concept came from Erin Rei, and the original cover which it looks similar to was done by Jenn Woodall.)
Friendship Edition is a Toronto-based comics and arts collective comprised of Gillian Blekkenhorst, Laura Harte, Trevor Henderson, Erin Rei, JJ Tebrake, Mary Verhoeven, Kat Verhoeven and Jenn Woodall.

Why make things easy on yourself? why not make one book that requires four covers, and then decide each of those covers requires its own floral motif? That’s fun, right?
I’m going to have so many new things for sale at TCAF! First up is a page from my comic I haven’t figured out the name of yet but am tentatively calling “the boarder”. It is a ghost slash love story. A bunch of stickers. And Passionate About Proper Dishwashing Behaviour, now waterproof. And a sketch zine called Staring Contest With A Mound Of Earth which I will show you once I ensemble it.

friendship edition cleaned up this months issue (#71) of Broken Pencil! (@brokenpencilmag) First off, @illustratingmary did the illustrations for one of the cover stories, the Deathmatch winners! @featurecreature‘s co-curated art zine with @comicbooktakeover You Approach A Dark Manor was reviewed, which is a zine a good chunk of @friendshipedition was in! @suburban-mythology‘s zine, Passionate About Proper Dishwashing Behaviour was reviewed and excerpted! Our good buddy @jasonrbradshaw had Bore #11 reviewed.
And because I’m not sure we posted about it before, @verwho‘s Crash Comics was reviewed in #70, and @jwoodall‘s Marie and Worrywart was reviewed in January.

Sold out of all my old black and white sketch corps, so I’m putting together a newer one which means cleaning up a bunch of old pictures and drawing a million more based on snatches I find that are too ugly to publish but have something about them I like too much to give up on
Finding this one was pretty cool, because I’m currently working on a comic for sweaty palms which uses a similar format!
I never know what you’re talking about. I don’t understand why we’re going steady, it seems like it just happened?
