Things that are harmful to asexual and aromantic people are bad because they are harmful to asexual and aromantic people. We shouldn’t need to make tenuous links to how they could potentially harm non-ace/aro people for people to accept them as bad things to say or do.

When someone says β€œasexuality doesn’t mean β€œnot having sex”/”not fucking”” they don’t necessarily mean that β€œasexual people have sex”. They are not making any statement about whether or not asexual people have sex.

What they are saying is that not having sex/choosing not to have sex isn’t what defines asexuality. Asexuality is an orientation, it is about attraction. It isn’t a behaviour or a lifestyle.

I am an asexual person because I am not attracted to anyone. This lack of attraction to anyone would be true regardless of my behaviour. Someone who simply chooses not to have sex for whatever reason but still experiences attraction is not asexual.
