Do I have anyone who works at walmart or Sam's club following me

Anyway PSA for Walmart employees

so basically, there's a resource for people who work at Walmart and Sam's Club that can allow you a one-time payment of up to $1500, with no need to pay it back or whatever, it's just a free 0 - 1500 if and only if you are currently struggling financially and have proof of bills and under certain circumstances.

So if you were like on LOA, are taking care of someone other than yourself, someone died or recently lost their job, etc. you might be eligible for it.

If that doesn't work, look up Walmart ACTN on one Walmart

I've worked here for almost 7 years and was never told about this, probably intentionally. That being said I tried it myself and it went through so its legit but you have to have documentation of the bills or the situation you're going through in question, though, food does not need documentation under $200.

I believe it's full time only unfortunately but I could be wrong. Also it does not notify management or supervisors in case you're afraid of retaliation.

we have to stop letting the usa have such control/influence over international politics

veto power shouldnt exist. one country shouldnt be able to control whether or not things happen

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it a thousand more times: No piece of dystopian fiction has ever been a prediction of the future. They are observations and criticisms of the present.

“Wooow! How did Orwell predict the surveillance state so well in 1984??”

He didn’t. He was making an observation of the surveillance state that already existed in his present, and exaggerated it to make the metaphor obvious.

Learning and discussing these works in terms of them being predictions and having test questions like “do you think his prediction came true?” is not only pointless, but actively counterintuitive. When you frame these works as being ‘people from the past knew that the future would be terrible’ you shift the entire perspective to one of some kind of nostalgia for a past that didn’t exist.

These author’s aren’t oracles. They’re satirists. Their predictions ‘come true’ because they were already true when they wrote them.

A little advice from someone studying extremist groups: if you’re in a social media environment where the daily ubiquitous message is that you have no hope of any kind of future and you can’t possibly achieve anything without a violent overthrow of society, you’re being radicalized, and not in the good way.

If the solution to your problems sounds like “we need a blank slate” it’s a lie. There are no blank slates, and the closest approximation people can generally imagine is “burn it all down and let God/fate/history sort it out”.

That’s not problem solving. It’s barely catharsis, in practice. It doesn’t just create more problems than it solves, it destroys more solutions than it creates.

Put the apocalypse down, and back away slowly.

Real solutions to complex, systemic problems are not so easily reduced to “us good, them evil; kill them.”

Voting as Fire Extinguisher

When the haunted house catches fire: a moment of indecision.

The house was, after all, built on bones, and blood, and bad intentions.

Everyone who enters the house feels that overwhelming dread, the evil that perhaps only fire can purge.

It’s tempting to just let it burn.

And then I remember:

there are children inside.

Hey guys. I am once again having to rely on donations because I have exhausted literally every other option for financial help there is. Literally everything I can find.

The backstory here is that at the end of last year, my abusive father kicked me out of home for being gay. Since then, I have found myself suddenly thrust into “the real world” trying to find my way with few skills and little knowledge.

To add to this, I have severe mental health problems and frequently find myself in psychiatric wards involuntarily. I am trying to stabilise myself but it’s hard when I can’t afford my medication or therapy.

At the moment, I am once again struggling to pay my rent. I HAVE TWO JOBS. AND I WORK ODD JOBS AROUND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD. AND I TUTOR KIDS. But because I have been going through a rough time and have spent a lot of time in hospital lately, I simply haven’t been able to make enough money to pay my rent this month.

I need $530 to make my rent this month.

IN RETURN FOR DONATIONS, I AM WILLING TO OFFER THE FOLLOWING

  • promos to my blogs and reblogs my friend’s blogs (about 10k followers altogether
  • girl advice (which I give out for free but ya know)
  • feedback on your essays because I’m a straight A student and have been tutoring people in humanities subjects since I was in high school (how much feedback depends on how well I know the subject, but at the very least I can give advice on essay structure and grammar) (I’ll try to do this as quickly as possible but it’s first in first served)
  • anything else you can think of that I might be able to offer?

HOW TO DONATE

Paypal (preferred)

Ko-Fi

Any and all donations, even of $1, will be met with the deepest gratitude and love.

Reblog are also very important.

Thank you for reading.

18 May, still need donations, please keep reblogging!

It’s 23 May and I still need $223 for my rent! As well as that, my doctor wants me to be admitted AGAIN today, so I won’t be able work for the next week or so.

I’m so sorry about this guys.

This is what I’m thinking

I’m thinking about making two completely new accounts. I want to start over basically. I’ll post more information when I actually make the two new accounts.
