wait, one thing i think isn't mentioned enough is needing to change your expectations of yourself when struggling with your mental health.

it took me so long to accept that while i'm not as productive as i was when i was in a better place, for me currently getting up and only doing a few things, or maybe even nothing is okay. for me, that is my new level of productivity.

you would never talk to someone else struggling with mental health problems the way you talk to yourself. you're doing the best you can and that's all that matters today.

stop holding yourself to insane expectations when you're struggling with something, it only makes it harder.

decided to reblog this once more in hopes that it reaches the people who need it today.

if you're reading this, thank you. thank you for trying your best, thank you for still being here with us. i'm so proud of you, the amount of things you "accomplish" in a day would never change that.
