So after watching the latest Sanders Asides, I realized that after thinking this obsession was gone

It’s not.

I feel like Thomas saw the fandom’s theories and headcanons and saw that we were all kinda iffy on how much we really thought they’d become canon. So he made them canon and released the episode like “watch this, theyre gonna lose their shit”

So, Remus, am I right?

you know what I especially can’t take in this new asides?

is that remus, in his own remus-y way, was trying to help logan. and by extension thomas. sure he was having fun with it, but he was doing it to make logan realize that he was pissed. and not at remus. and the whole thomas-nico thing was, on some level, remus trying to say that they weren’t ready for a relationship yet. sure he was going for “cut him off before you get hurt” instead of “work through things on your own before jumping into this”, but nonetheless, trying to help.

you know these specific lyrics from forbidden fruit? “good and bad are all made-up nonsense” and “you don’t need to feel ashamed with your dear old duke”. granted they’re hay in a needle stack, but the first is exactly what thomas needed to learn, and the second seems to be, once again, a remus-y way of saying to just work through the thoughts.

maybe I’m reading way to far into this but I think that remus is getting a much slower reveal of acceptance alongside these arcs. virgil was the gateway, janus was the stepping stone, so now maybe remus being accepted doesn’t have to be in some state of emergency. it just is.

God I love how dramatic Remus was in this episode. The desperate failing student roleplay. The pathetic little dunce hat pout. The spontaneous dramatic lighting when he started ignoring Logan. The ridiculous traps. I love him.
