SINK OR SWIM

↳  A situation in which someone either must succeed by his or her own efforts or fail completely.

After the hospitalization of her father, the headstrong Rosaria Scozzari confronts Newcrest's mafia boss Raphael Polombo in the pursuit of crafting a better deal to protect her family, even if it is at the expense of benefiting him. Now, supposedly a lawyer in training for the Polombo family, Rosaria shadows Raphael’s underboss, Pietro Impellizzeri, who teaches her more about the seedy underworld.

Sink or Swim is a story focused around organized crime. Due to this, you can expect dark themes to be present such as swearing, violence, guns, alcohol, and depictions of sex work. There are also explicit sexual scenes and misogynistic elements such as predatory behavior, coercion and harassment. Read with caution! Chapter 1: An Offer You Can't Refuse | Chapter 2: Transformation | Chapter 3: Friends or Strangers? | Chapter 4: Partnership | Chapter 5: Trouble in Paradise

Storytelling Simblrs

How do you treat the different worlds in your story? Are they different states/ cities /countries? Do you not think that deep into it, and just use whatever lot fits your build for your story?

Okay so, Newcrest, Willow Creek and Magnolia Plaza are in the same area. I decided this because visually they have the same layout.

Evergreen Harbor is in the same state as the above worlds, but it's close to San Myshuno [which represents the big cities to me, though if I viewed it separately it'd be New York-adjacent] and San Sequoia is across the bridge from San Myshuno. It's a wonderful suburb, where a lot of old gangsters flock to for a quiet, lowkey life.

Typically, I use whatever lot fits my build for the story 'cause desperate times call for desperate measures but I do try to stick to the idea that if a lot won't fit in Newcrest, make it fit in Willow Creek, if a lot don't fit in Willow Creek make it fit in Magnolia Plaza. So, I don't place lots in Windenberg, Brindleton Bay, or Copperdale 'cause they don't visually work out. Copperdale had too many trees lmao. So, I view Britechester, Brindleton and Copperdale as different states. Oasis Springs, Strangerville (which I view as a extension of Oasis Springs) Chestnut Ridge and Del Sol Valley represent the Southwest although I've been playing with the idea that Chestnut Ridge could be like a rural Mexico town. They're all not far from one another and Del Sol Valley definitely represents yet another "big, prosperous city" in the way San Myshuno does. Mt. Komorebi, Tartosa, Selvadorada and Tomarang are foreign countries. I also view Windenberg as being Europe-adjacent.

NEXT TIME ON SINK OR SWIM... An unexpected event leads to Salvatore's abrupt unemployment. In trying to hold down a new job, what follows him is a series of misfortunes rather than successes. When his back is against the wall, an old friend tells him to look into Daciano Falcone.
