chapter 24

⚠️ Warning: Mature content ahead ⚠️

“Woah.” Jiwon gasped loudly as she saw who was behind the door.

You held Baekhyun’s hand tighter, cheeks flushing as your friend coughed to the side. She opened the door wider to let you two pass, but not without widening her eyes at you. You just shook your head to whatever she has in mind.

“Should I head out first?” She raised her eyebrows, amused at how you were acting clingy with Baekhyun and not the other way around.

the law of attraction (b.b.h.) 1/2

- AU(s): teacher!Baekhyun, high school student!OC

- word count: 17K+ (two parts)

- softy soft fluff, comedy, angst, vaniLLa love and it’s making (😉)

- in which Baekhyun is the hottest coolest teacher walking the corridors of your high school and he likes everyone just the same. even you. until in comes the law of attraction. until your his favorite student. until you become his cute little thing. until Baekhyun can’t get enough of you, so much that he is willing to risk it all. even at the cost of getting beaten up by your crazy ol’ Halmi.

request that I tried to religiously follow and added a sprinkle of my own 💜 enjoy just like I enjoyed writing this!

~ ~ ~

“Aigoo, why do you look this regretful?”

Your eighty year old grandmother, or as you liked to call her, Halmi, clasped her hands together when she took in you and your little six year old brother Jontae. Her exclamation was not unjustified. The both of you were drenched from the sudden downpour that disappeared as quickly as it started. It was the summer monsoon season in Korea, and once again, you forgot to take your umbrella when you rushed to school early in the morning.

“You both will get pneumonia! Oh, dear Lord, then who will take care of me?” she went on while you rushed Jontae to the bathroom.

“We’re okay, Halmi, no need to overreact,” you said and tapped Jontae’s butt to get him moving. “Take off your clothes, I’ll bring you new ones. Start the warm water.” He only nodded wordlessly, doing as he was told.

chapter 23

You stretched your arms in front as you looked up at the clock hung on the wall. It was already past 2 in the afternoon, and it was the last exam for the day. You wondered if Baekhyun was done with his.

You stood up after packing your things up silently, conscious of how quiet the room was as there were still a lot of students taking their exams. You were allowed to leave as soon as you finished your exam, making you sigh in relief as it would have been boring and a waste of time if you were to stay on your seat until the last student finishes their exam.

Always, yours (12)

Word count: 7K

Warnings: none

“But mummy, you will be there, right? And daddy?”

“And will there be many children?”

“And can we eat dessert after that?”

“I want daddy to be there toooo.”

Baekhyun and you could barely answer one question before the next one would be shot by the eager triplets.

You were holding hands with Juna and Jun. The youngest was also holding hands with Baekhyun and he held Junhee’s hand on the other side. You were like a long Byun chain.

It was Baekhyun’s idea to sign the kids up for swimming lessons. You were fast to agree and even wanted to join; so while the kids would have a fun swimming lesson in the local aqua park, you two were ready to venture off and enjoy alone time.

Shattered [2/2]

Characters: Baekhyun x You

Type: angst, fluff

Word count: 2665

A/N: I wanted this to be as realistic as it could, also different than all those other bullying scenarios. I hope you like this as much as the 1st part.

It hurts to get all the fault for something you haven’t even done in the first place.

Baekhyun never thought about what he would feel when reality finally caught up with him, it was something way more painful than the lawsuit actually triggered in the past. Seeing you being transported to the camping place and then flown away to a hospital with a helicopter was something that he wouldn’t really be able to ever forget, not with the immense guilt cursing through his body. It was unbearable.

“You found her Baekhyun?” The teacher walked up to him, stopping right in front of him.

“I did.” He silently nodded. “I found her backpack lying there first and followed that trace.” It wasn’t a lie, he really found the place that way. So why did it feel like he was actually lying?

“I don’t believe you.” Mrs Im looked ahead, her face grim and serious. “Since we came here, you were bothering and bugging her to the extreme. Don’t think that I was believing you not showing her down the stairs of the bus the day we arrived.”

Baekhyun’s jaw tightened as a sick feeling spread in his gut. Was this woman serious? “Say that again,” He growled out, standing up and looking down at her startled body, spitting fire. “You knew? All this while and didn’t think about stopping me, at all?!” Tears of disbelieve and anger streamed down his face as he looked into the face of the woman who could and should have stopped him! Why didn’t she? Why did she look away when it was her job to interfere?!

Gulping down in discomfort, Mrs Im looked away. “I never saw you do something, it was always just a thought. I would have never thought you would be able to do this, not with how you were looking at her.”

“Don’t lie,” Baekhyun spluttered out, his face contorted in disgust at the adult in front of him as he ignored her last statement completely. “I had a reason to hate her, my fault is that I acted upon it and hurt her. But you only, selfishly, thought about yourself and let your student get hurt because of me! ”

“Selfish?” Mrs Im frowned. “Student get bullied for the bully himself to feel good. Bullying itself is a selfish act.”

“But I am just a teenage boy who didn’t know better,” Baekhyun finally exploded. “I never thought about the consequences and damage I was doing to her! Hell, I wasn’t even seeing them when she was always right in front of me. I never noticed what it did to her personality! But you –“, a sob broke free, “you were able to see everything. You were someone who looked from the sidelines and didn’t get emotionally into it! You had the objective view, you are also an adult who probably heard and participated in thousands of lectures about bullying in high school and how to notice and prevent them!”

Mrs Im just looked at him with wonder, staying silent and not answering him in any way. Baekhyun was oozing with complete guilt and sadness. He was mad and while he was shouting at her, he was just releasing the pending anger he was actually feeling towards himself. His feelings are, again, misdirected.

“I will destroy you, Mrs Im!” He promised, bitter tears rolling down his cheeks. “I will make sure that I am not the only one paying this price, I will take Y/N’s revenge on the both of us! She never deserved this.”

“I am sorry?” The teacher raised an eyebrow, now completely baffled. “Why is it that you always need to blow up on other people to feel good?”

“What?” He growled out.

“Bullying Y/N was because you were misdirecting your sadness and searching for a scapegoat for all the madness in you and now you are doing the exact same thing with me. The only difference is that you are finally giving yourself some slack and blaming yourself as well. But why do you need to always hurt other people to feel good?”

Baekhyun didn’t know how to answer to that. When did he turn into an egotistical jerk like that, giving people scars to heal his? Not wanting to be the only one with miserable feelings and be the source to that of others?

“I’m disgusting. I should have just left her alone, let her live her life in peace and enjoy the remaining days of her school life. Then maybe one of us would have had a nice life.” He laughed at himself. “I should now just lock myself away and just come out for graduation or something.”

“Do you really think that would be what she wants?” The teacher sighed. “You are afraid to face her. But if you let that fear rule you, you won’t ever make your wrongs right, you know. You would stay this guilty, probably forever.”

“I don’t deserve anything else. Besides, she wouldn’t want to see me.” He looked away. “I wouldn’t want to see me.”

“That may be true, but Y/N deserves closure from that phase of her life. She deserves an apology, something that would mild all her bitterness and pain.” Sensing the questioning gaze on her, the older woman went on. “Y/N won’t be able to enjoy the remaining time of school anymore. She will only take the last exams before graduation and stay mostly home, she already signed all formulas for that some days prior to this trip. That was the reason why I had her on my radar the whole time.“

“She already prepared everything to get away from me,” He chuckled, self-mocking.

The teacher just turned around, taking some steps away from Baekhyun. “You should at least visit her in the hospital, Baekhyun, just to see her. You guys were friends after all.”

“Where do you even know that?” He gazes turned glassy, his mind wandering to the past.

Turning to the boy, the older woman’s face broke into a motherly smile. “You may not even notice it, but like I said before, your eyes are searching for her during class. And whenever they reach Y/N’s figure without her or even you knowing, they soften up. You have great affection towards her, which were and still are deeply buried by your anger. Be careful, by now they could have turned into something so much more.”

Baekhyun left the trip that day and went back home, his conscious not giving him any rest. Opening the door to his home, he stepped in silently. Internally pleading that his parents weren’t home or wouldn’t have heard him coming back from the trip late at night and on a wrong day. Especially with swollen red eyes, while being all dirty.

But luck wasn’t on his side, he bitterly accepted it a chuckle when his mum walked out of the living room in surprise. “Baekhyun, already here? I thought you were arriving in two days? What’s wrong, why do you look so…”

“Mum, don’t.” He looked away. “You should be ashamed of me, disgusted with this son of yours. Don’t care for me, it hurts even more.”

Since the day of-of his father’s lawsuit, Baekhyun started to shut himself off of the people he was the closest with. His former friends, you and especially his mother who he always loved to talk to. He would often ask for advice, him telling her his worries and her helping whenever she could.

Now after more than three years, her son was finally starting to turn back into the Baekhyun she knew. That night, Baekhyun fell asleep in his mother’s arms, telling her his wrongdoings he was so bitterly regretting.

It will take you a week to leave the hospital, another week to leave your bed and two months on top of that to heal your broken fingers and leg completely. Other than that you just had a mild concussion, which would heal completely in the week you would stay in the hospital. Everything will heal probably and nothing will leave any staying marks or damages on your body. Your mind, however, was something entirely different of course.

You would never ever completely forget any of the bullying experience, any of the feelings. Maybe things will get easier, maybe the feeling of utter fear and helplessness will dissolve with time and only leave memories. But nevertheless, you didn’t want it to rule your life. To make you so scared of looking forward, that you will always look back.

It shouldn’t be that way. This experience, as horrifying as it was, should be something to learn from. You shouldn’t have had second thoughts of reporting Baekhyun to a teacher, you should have done it after the first incident of bullying. Because nothing is more precious than one’s own condition and well fare. Nothing will be ever as important as protecting yourself from harm, especially if you were innocent.

You told yourself no more. Because with this you were absolutely free. From school and the classmates who never helped you, from a boy you thought was your friend and had the ability to protect you even a little bit, and your past best friend that held more meaning than you wanted to ever admit. He isn’t worthy anymore and probably won’t ever be again. You wouldn’t ever have to look at him anymore; well, that is what you thought.

The first time Baekhyun came to visit, was the morning of the next day of your arrival. He seemed to have taken a shower, all dirt off him as his hair was messily tousled on his head. He was rather uncertain as he walked into your room slowly, his gaze on the ground.

Nobody else was in the room, your parents letting themselves get persuaded by you to go home and resume their work. They could come and visit after, you said. But now you were certainly regretting it. The want to just jump off the bed and out of the door was just as big as the feeling of wanting to throw a punch at his face for everything he has done to you, unbearable.

It was more than a surprise when Baekhyun’s shoulder started to tremble, quite sobs ranging through the silent room, only the machines you were attached to making an accompanying sound.

You just couldn’t look at his face, his figure. It was a mirror, a scene so familiar to you, it hurt. The roles were nearly reversed. This time it was him bitterly crying while you seemed nearly expressionless. But you weren’t him, and while he already died to you as your best friend and the boy you thought you knew, you were not going to stoop to his level and feel superior all of a sudden, going all out to hurt him back. No, you were not like that you will never be. And maybe that would be more painful, you killing him with kindness.

“I am so sorry, Y/N.” He chocked out, broken in a silent whisper as relief washed over him at your well-being. His voice hoarse and rough, it wasn’t his first time crying, you concluded. “I know what I did is unforgivable and so disgusting, nothing I say will and could change that. But just know that I am sorry for what I did to you and that I will forever feel guilty for it.”

The surprise washed pretty fast off you and your mouth moved faster than you could progress, the words out before you could stop them. “I forgive you.”

It should have been another relieve, one for both sides. He should have felt light, free of the guilt and sadness that wasn’t leaving his body. And you should have felt good, to actually feel kind of proud of your decision. Yet the memories of the bullying was still there, the hollow feeling in you wasn’t leaving. And Baekhyun? He was breaking down.

Sitting on the ground, his hands holding his face, his full body shook at the sobs breaking out fully. Just like you prior, he was shattering right front of your eyes. His conscious was taking the revenge you desperately ignored, it was tearing him apart further.

But was there really an ounce of real forgiveness in you, or did you just say that because it would have been the best?

“W-why?” His fists hit the ground repeatedly, his anger getting the best of him, leaning his head on the ground in defeat. “Why are you so kind? Don’t be! Hate me, shout at me, hurt me back!”

“This isn’t about me anymore, is it?” You whispered. “It agonises you, it’s giving you more guilt, doesn’t it?”

“You are doing it to hurt me,” He stated, his eyes looking at you, nearly hopeful. At this point, he wanted to get punished. It would be another way to feel better about what he did.

“No.” You smiled, a sad smile directed at him. Catching his eyes, you sighed.“The moment I arrived I wanted to hurt you back so badly. But now I am just so tired. Physically and mentally totally drained. Why should I hurt myself more with unnecessary pains and hatred? Letting go is so much easier, trying to forget will be so much easier. Starting from leaving this hospital my life will really begin.”

Baekhyun stayed silent, leaving soon after, not for the last time. He agreed that you should and would start your life after leaving the hospital. It would be a bit hard, but more than possible. However, who said that you needed to go through it alone? He would be by your side. Not to make himself forgiven (he already was), but to feel like he changed for the better. So that he could at least say that he did something good for you so that he can be sure that you were managing everything just fine and will be fine in the future as well. He owed you that, and so much more. The least he could do was look after you.

It was strange having him come to visit you a lot more, each day with another present. At first, it was getting well soon balloons, then some fruits to get more energy, and one day he came with an old book in his hands. You remembered that book, it was a gift from you to him when you were in elementary school. And because Baekhyun was way smarter than you and learned to read way faster, he was the one who always read you the tales. You would have never guessed that he still kept it, not after voicing out his hatred countless of times.

“I couldn’t dare to throw this away.” He looked down at the cover, caressing it gently before taking a seat beside your hospital bed. “It was too precious, I couldn’t even touch it.” Opening the book to a random page, he smiled up at you before starting to read.

Having him read each day was soothing. It was surely helping you with getting better, as much as you wanted to leave him and the past chapter behind. He was just sticking with you now.

Maybe your relationship won’t ever be as it was in the past.

Maybe you guys will part after graduation.

Maybe everything will turn even worst.

But you forgave him and he started to get his act together.

He shattered you and you shattered him. Karma will always come back, even unintentionally. Life knows how to punish injustice, you just need to have patience and the will to go on.

Shattered [1/2]

Characters: Baekhyun x You ft. Xiumin

Type: Angst

Word count: 1664

Warning: bullying + explicitly described injuries.

A/N: Do you guys want a part 2? Tell me your suggestions then~

It hurts to get all the fault for something you haven’t even done in the first place.

You couldn’t remember any school day being quiet and peaceful. Maybe the mornings, but throughout the day it would only get worse. Middle school was probably your only nice memory about school, it all changed with high school. When he started to harass you.

The hate towards you wasn’t groundless, you could understand why someone would be angry. It was your family who won the lawsuit after all. But that is because his father did some pretty illegal things. It was all over the news. His family was never bashed though, not after the public apology his father did. You understood his pain, but the anger was misdirected. When everything happened, you were only fourteen. You had nothing to do with anything. Yet he deemed it his responsibility to make your life a living misery, and he was doing a damn pretty good job at that.

It was only child’s play at first. Taking some of your things and not giving them back, calling you names that would make his and his peers laugh about it after. But they slowly escalated. You found your things being torn and drawn on the next day, finding some of them in the trash or the content of your locker completely wrecked. The physical bullying started in your senior year. It wasn’t name calling anymore, destroying your property. It was violence, physical harassment.

You started to come home with several bruises, hiding them from your parents whenever they were home. It hurt, it hurt of course. Baekhyun was your friend before everything went downhill, even if you weren’t close anymore, you never expected anything like this. And you didn’t have the heart to tell a teacher about him, you weren’t someone who threw your morals out of the window for revenge like him. You were not going to stoop low to his level, you needed to survive this on your own. Without your family finding out anything.

You were depressed and still are, the feeling of loneliness getting greater with each passing day, hour, minute; even seconds. The things he had done would forever be embedded in your memory. You wouldn’t forget, you couldn’t. Maybe that would help you in the future.

The moment your teacher started to speak about the next field trip your class was going to go to, fear started to creep into you. And you had every right to be. You guys would go camping for exactly five days and four nights, who knew what Baekhyun has planned to do to you.

Nothing happened when you boarded the bus, sitting beside a friend you were not so close with. He was very vocal about Baekhyun’s action towards you, but because he was a friend and a member of his group, he couldn’t say much. The disappointment seeing him there when Baekhyun torments you, hurts you every time; the fact that nobody seems to be able to help you.

“Look who is kissing the ground again.” Baekhyun snickered as he found you on the ground in front of him, wet from the puddle he shoved you into the moment you stepped out of the bus.

“Byun Baekhyun!” The teacher shrieked. “What do you think you are doing?!”

“Sorry, teach.” He simply rolled his eyes and crashed into your shoulder the moment you stood up and dusted as much of the water and dirt off you as you could. “She fell.” And the torture seemed to begin. To his full amusement.

By the time the last two days arrived, you had a couple new bruises and a subtle pain in your shoulders from his constant shoving away. Walking in this condition was not the best, but at least bearable and not a bother. Like always, you were rather at the back, away from the crowd of students during the hike, climbing up the mountains. It was a soothing scenery and you found yourself lost in its beauty, another mistake. Or more like, another one of his childish antics.

“Ah, such a slowpoke,” Baekhyun whispered into your ear from behind, pulling at the zip of your backpack and spilling its content on the ground. Turning around, you just sighed while crouching down and putting everything back in, not gazing at him. He wasn’t worth it, he wasn’t worth anything. Not your tears, your cries and your pain. He was nothing to you, no, he was dead to you.

There was a time where you wondered if he even thought through the things he was putting you through. Was he aware of the pains? Of the scares his actions against you caused? Of the fear, it was igniting in you? Wasn’t he aware that he was ripping through your soul? Oh right, that was – of course – what he wants to archive. He wasn’t far from reaching what he wanted, actions like these just proved how heartless he really was.

“How rude, not even looking at me,” He muttered mockingly, the amusement clear in his voice. “Come on, look at me,” He taunted, getting angry at your unresponsiveness. “I said, look at me.” But you didn’t budge, and that was another mistake. “Your loss.”

Forcefully kicking your shoulder with his right foot, you stumbled down the hill and off the walking track, out of Baekhyun’s sight and disappearing through all the bushes and trees.

“Baekhyun!” Xiumin groaned. “That was too harsh.”

But Baekhyun only shrugged as an answer, ignoring the little tug in his gut and kicking your backpack in the same direction you disappeared in. “An accident I am not responsible for.” Because for him, you deserved every single thing he did. “It’s not like she would go missing here, the forest isn’t that big. She will catch up.” He walked ahead, leaving Xiumin looking back. His face full of sadness and disgust. Sadness for everything you went through and disgust for him doing nothing but watching besides the boy who was the cause of your misery. He hated himself for not going against Baekhyun, for being the pathetic one.

Resuming the walk, the class headed back at dawn before the teacher started to count every student present to notice one missing; You.

The students were growing more tense, with each calling of your name, looking around in wonder. Baekhyun himself frowned. Many hours had passed, and your little accident happened in the late morning and it was already the early evening, where were you?

Turning around, he ran all the way back towards the hill. Momentarily forgetting his hate for you as worry, concern and guilt overpowered it. He never, not once, felt guilty for what he did to you. But this was different, it was too serious for his liking. A reality of his harshness was finally catching up to him and with that his conscience.

Walking around aimlessly, his jaw tightened at the sky. It was getting darker with each passing minute and with that the chances of finding you. Seeing your backpack on the ground near a tree, he instantly ran towards, picking it up and walking down the hill he thought he kicked you down, it must be the way. Fishing out his phone, he used it as a flashlight and constantly called out your name, in the hopes of a reply. Leaving some seconds after each call to hear your voice responding, but there were none and his heart grew heavy. Did you stand up and walk away? Were you unconscious?

He was on the verge of giving up, letting his eyes leave the tears it gathered as he noticed how high the hill actually was. How far you must have tumbled down, the ground not levelling up at all.

However, he was lucky that you were not unconscious at all. You were very much awake, feeling every little damage to your body, the coldness that was creeping up your bones. You were unable to even move your finger, so much pain was coursing through your body. How would you have stood up and walked away?

You were not really minding anything anymore, no tears were there to be shed because there wouldn’t be anyone hearing you in the huge forest anyway. Why bother then, it was meaningless. You were ready to die, alone like Baekhyun wanted you to. Yet you couldn’t stop yourself from the hope coursing through your veins as you heard someone shouting out your name through the mist of pain and dizziness in your head.

Responding to the calls cost you to concentrate all your energy to move your mouth. No wonder, by all the little stones and branches that pierced through your skin and your flesh. Including the huge stone, you collided with, which stopped you tumbling down but was at fault for your left fingers being deformed strangely, your head felt completely numb.

The moment you saw who the one to your rescue was, the hope instantly diminished as the feeling of acceptance and numbness came back full force.

“Here to finish what you started?” You whispered looking on the ground in front of you, your voice hoarse and strained as you gulped uncomfortably.

Seeing your broken form on the ground, Baekhyun gasped. Blood was everywhere, staining every part of your ripped clothes and your whole face. Little branches sticking out from every part of your body, both your fingers of your left hand and your right leg deformed in a strange way, obviously broken. But what broke Baekhyun was the look of absolute blankness on your face. No trace of any feeling, besides the pain that was screaming through your eyes. He has done it, finally and completely. Not breaking you, this wasn’t you being broken. Broken things can be fixed, their wounds can heal.

You, however, you looked shattered. Not just your body, but every part of your whole being.

Baekhyun – Content

Characters: Baekhyun x OC

Type: Angst, Fluff

Word count: 1656

A/N: [4/9]

“Go and pack your things, Love. You will live with me from now on.”

It wasn’t her fault, nobody should feel guilty of it. But Yoora sure did, somehow.

Her relationship with her brother was not good, it was never good, it wasn’t even bearable. It was broken and halfway non-existent. Yongsuk’s feeling was not hate anymore, he detested her, loathed. Why else would a brother be so horrible to his little sister? Whenever he could, he would insult her, shout at her, hit her. Let his anger out on his little sister, even if she was the one who looked after him and their little apartment. She was the one who he should thank on his knees for not abandoning such a good for nothing brother. Someone who disregards other people and lives in his own little world without thinking about consequences, without taking the responsibilities of an adult.

Sitting down on one of the benches in the park, Yoora sighed out and looked up to the blue sky. The weather was warm and incredibly soothing for her tired body. Working two part-time jobs was taking its toll on her. One in the morning till the afternoon as a barista and one in the evenings till early mornings as a bartender in one of the popular bars. While both jobs were nicely paid, it was nearly impossible for her to rest and get the sleep she desperately needed.

But there wasn’t anything she could do. While she never really experienced the loss of money, she needed both jobs as her brother was a gambler and alcoholic, who didn’t know when to stop and leave it be.

Now, why didn’t she leave him be and went on with her own life? He was the reason for all her misery, but she couldn’t do that. He was her only family member left, the only one she had in this world. For her, living in that misery was easier and better than living alone in complete loneliness. Besides, how could she leave him be and start a new life if he could follow her? She was sure that he had no intentions of letting her live in peace. Just thinking about it was depressing.

It was not the first time for Yoora to go to the park and relax. Whenever she had time, she would just sit there thinking about her life thoroughly. Always the same topic, always the same thoughts. It was more of a routine, maybe that’s why Baekhyun always came to this part of the park after noticing her.

The moment he saw her for the first time in the bar, he was confused. She was more of the innocent type of girl. One that would stay far from the nightlife and rather be staying at home, doing her homework diligently. Too innocent to work in a bar, which is also why she sparked his interest. Yet he never planned on talking to her. A simple interest wasn’t going to change his life.

But fate had its ways. Walking around the city some days later, just after finishing a small deal, he found her in the park sitting on a bench. Her form was small, her gaze directed on the ground as she ignored everyone around her. Nothing was extraordinary, not until he found her the next day on the same spot and the day after that. And somehow between his hectic work and tasks, he found himself actually watching her. Getting further intrigued by her.

Today, she was sitting on the same bench again. This time, though, he would approach her, talk to her. Just watching her wasn’t doing it anymore. He needed to hear her voice, have her eyes fixed on him, acknowledge his existence. Walking up to her, he sat down beside her silent figure, noting her body tensing up almost instantly.

“Beautiful day today, isn’t it?” He started, awaiting a response to her, but the girl beside him was only humming along. No intention of talking with the good-looking stranger. Turning towards her, he eyed her features closely.

“Have you been crying?” He furrowed his eyebrows, a feeling of protectiveness washing over him at the sight of her red swollen eyes.

“None of your business.” She meekly replied, not unkindly, trying to contain the gathering tears. Crying alone outside was one thing, but crying in front of a stranger was not what she wanted. But that is exactly what was going on. Yoora just couldn’t stop the sobs from ripping out, her tears streaming down her cheeks. Why wasn’t she able to do what was good for her? Why was she letting herself get hurt?

Seeing the girl sob silently, Baekhyun eyes softened incredibly. Seeing her so broken, hurt him. He didn’t know how to react to her, how to tone down the pain. So he just started to talk randomly, starting with his name and what he liked to do in his free time. Of course, while adding his wit and charms into every sentence.

“Well, I am Byun Baekhyun and I like to cry alone in parks too, sometimes.”

That sentence alone earned him a genuine chuckle from the girl and the wanted eye contact as she introduced herself. That was it, for their first encounter.

But a second one was following and a third one, soon with an exchange of numbers and small meetups. Baekhyun never dared to ask why she had cried, he would wait until she was ready to tell him herself.

Yoora found a friend in Baekhyun, one she desperately needed. Since then, she was more awake,  full of energy and want to live well. Something in her changed with meeting him and she couldn’t be any more grateful.

It was a nice feeling to have someone, who seemed to find oneself important. She wasn’t alone anymore, she had someone to depend on.

However, Baekhyun wanted to be more than that. He needed her to be more than just a friend because the thought of her belonging to others was killing him. He wanted to be able to call her his, to protect her officially and not just as someone who stayed on the sideline.

He started to indicate his interest in her in form of more meetups, he started to call them dates and made her small gifts. Yoora felt loved and couldn’t stop herself from falling for him. Was it going to be her doom? She never thought about it and honestly, she didn’t really care. The feelings Baekhyun was igniting in her were indescribable, she never wanted it to stop. And Baekhyun would make sure that they wouldn’t.

“Come on, we just started dating, we need to go out probably, officially! I will pick you up so we can have a good day!” He pleaded, finding himself pouting at her. Would someone see him now, he would have to kill them on the spot? But for her, he’d do anything in a heartbeat. Giving up his life for her any day. That is how much his love for her went, and further, way further.

Not being able to stand his adorable gaze on her, she gave in. “Okay, okay. I will. But please, don’t knock or ring the bell, okay? Call me and I’ll come out.”

“What?” He frowned. “Why?”

“Don’t ask.” Yoora pleaded. “Please just do it.”

Nodding once, Baekhyun left the topic. He’d surely find out why soon enough. And he would because he wasn’t planning on doing what you wanted. He never agreed probably.

The moment he was in front of her door, he walked up and rang the bell. He would make sure to know why his Yoora seemed to be so adamant about it. He was not dumb. Either she had very strict parents, which he could deal with, or fear of what would happen. Maybe even both.

And when the door was opened, he knew exactly why. Breaking out into a devilish smirk, he kicked the door open the moment Yoora’s brother tried to threw it shut in horror.

“My my if it isn’t Yongsuk.” He chuckled while walking in, his hands in his pants pocket as he looked down at the figure on the ground.“Missed me?”

“B-Baekhyun.” Yongsuk gulped, fear evident in his eyes. “How did you find me?”

Raising his eyebrows, Baekhyun scoffed. “I wasn’t even searching. I wouldn’t waste my time for scum like you, especially those that abuse their little sister.” He growled out, stepped onto Yongsuk’s hand, who cried out in pain after. “I should have ended you way before!”

“Please, don’t kill me, I know that I am in debt with you. But I don’t have the money!” The guy on the ground broke out into ugly sobs. “I’ll give you anything, but please spare my life! Don’t kill me!”

Yet before Baekhyun could break out into a hollow laughter, Yoora’s shocked face came into his view.

“Baekhyun?” She eyed the situation, the confusion apparent in her eyes.

Ignoring his heart for a second, Baekhyun forced himself to focus on the guy on the ground. “Anything you said?” Taking the desperate nods from the guy as an answer, his attention was back on the only human being it was worth.

“Go and pack your things, Love.” He gently, yet strongly told her. His tone made clear that he wasn’t taking a no for an answer. “You will live with me from now on.”

Maybe she shouldn’t have listened, he was a dangerous man after all. But she found herself in complete bliss, for he was treating her like she was worth life like she was the light in his life. She never dreamed of a better future, she was delighted to be where she is now, besides Baekhyun. She was finally content.

- LONG CHAPTER AHEAD -

Eleventh - The Edge of Desire

The house was silent.

Everyone was asleep.

Besides you.

And a certain puppy.

You could hear the little pal moving around in the house, whimpering, since he had been left alone for the night. His paws were tiny but you could still hear the way his claws scratched against the hardwood floor.

🌩n o i r - bbh🌩

🌩 Genre: Angst, romance, teacher x student Au

🌩Pairing: Baekhyun x Reader

🌩Warnings: no self-acceptance, jealousy

Her face lightened up at the sight of the test being handed on her desk, eyes shining like thousands of diamonds, cheeks tinted in a glittering red reached her eyes as she held up the paper with the impeccable result, a proud A+ impregnated in the white sheet of paper. You could only curve your lips into the most genuine smile you could muster while sending an encouraging nod in her way. Fingers closed around your heart, squeezing it where it’d hurt the most because you knew, that even if you hadn’t spoken a single word, you had lied to your best friend. The genuine smile that hadn’t reached your eyes, could she see through it? While the other girls complimented her, you could only glance down at the test on your desk, you had turned it around so that no one would’ve been able to see the result written on it. Not even your friends.

The teacher had written an encouraging ‘Keep up the good work!’ next to the strong C in the corner of your test, but it seemed as if the letter was laughing straight at your face. It felt ridiculous, that had been a perfectly good grade, a result that encouraged you to give even more the next time, one that showed you that you had the potential to be something even better. But… It wasn’t enough, not at all. Not when you had given your all on this test, not when you had told yourself that you’d ace this test with a 100%, not when your best friend had achieved what you hadn’t been able to.

“What did you get?” Your friend’s voice suddenly shattered your train of thoughts, her curious cat-like gaze bored immediately into your soul, a bright smile curved on her lips- she was delighted and proud of herself, you could almost imagine the swelling feeling of your heart and the yearning to tell your parents about the success, but it disappeared as quickly as it came, overpowered by something unfamiliar, something overwhelming that you couldn’t name, but you hated it. It was bitter and it felt as if your heart, your mind, was covered by a black veil that fogged your view.

Swallowing the lump in your throat you feigned another smile, “Secret,” you chuckled, feeling slightly embarassed of the result you had achieved, it would just look funny next to her A, wouldn’t it? There was no way you could show her. She pouted in disappointment but didn’t insist.

Of course, she had to get an A, you thought, like always, just so perfect and good in everything she does, it irks me. I hate it.

Trembling took over your body as you held up the test to the teacher, disgusted and disbelieved in your own self. The adult male didn’t miss the painful expression that you hadn’t been able to mask. Your gaze snapped up to his when he grabbed the paper, but not actually taking it, just letting the gentle warmth of his fingertips graze your shivering skin. Mr. Byun who you’d til this day always felt drawn to,  Mr. Byun who you’d always gaze at with enamored eyes, Mr.Byun with the low and calming voice- with the heartbreaking smile, Byun Baekhyun that you had secretly fallen in love with. Today, you couldn’t hold his gaze for more than three seconds before diverting them again, a feeling of shame and guilt pooling within your chest until it’s limit, it was too much and you feared that it might overflow, you couldn’t bear it on your own. You just wished he wouldn’t catch on the layer of water gathering on your irises, ready to cascade down your face.

Although his worried orbs searched for yours, there was no way you could let him see- let him see what you had thought, even if just for a second. He couldn’t find out about the somber strings of negativity entangled from every angle of your body, tightening around the font of your feelings. Baekhyun would eventually find out about the horrible person you were- that you envied your friend because she was better than you in everything, that you had absolutely no talent- no capabilities, that you weren’t enough, ever.

Teeth drilled into your lower lip as you tried your best to gulp away the thick tears, a metallic taste spread on your tongue as you wished for nothing but to disappear.

“Alright good job everyone, you all did very well on the test, I’m proud. You’re dismissed.” Mr. Byun announced while adjusting all the tests neatly on his desk, his thin spectacles placed low on the bridge of his nose and eyelashes kissing his cheeks as he glanced down on the papers. Shouldering your backpack, you made yourself ready to leave.

“Miss Y/n,” The honey-like voice that you found yourself craving to hear in your sleepless nights, it called you, and you could only stop in your tracks with fear and nervousness. You couldn’t tell whether your heart was picking up its rate, was it because you were going to spend some time alone with him?- or because he was wanted to scold you about something? Perhaps your grades. “I’d like a moment with you please,” He continued, not giving away any of his real intentions, and intrigued, you watched when he removed the glasses from his face, folded them neatly and soundlessly placed them on his desk.

As soon as the classroom had emptied, he proceeded to close the door, on his way back to his desk was when he loosened the black-tie from around his neck, popping a few buttons of his shirt- giving you the chance to witness a few inches of his milky skin as he sat down on the edge of the table. Even in your darkest times, he could make you wander to such thoughts and you couldn’t decide whether he was dangerous or perhaps just a very beautiful dream, an escape.

“Come,” He said, and for a few moments you felt as if your feet had been glued onto the floor, but eventually you moved- and walked to where he was sitting. There wasn’t anything stern or raging in his eyes and you could only internally sigh with relief.

“Is everything alright?” Oh no,  you could handle worried stares, but when people straight out asked you that question, there was no way tears wouldn’t well in your eyes because obviously, it was so not okay. Not at all, nothing was okay, not you, not your belief in yourself, you were just a mass of shattered glass, and you started to think that not even his healing voice could fix you this time. “You seemed very upset, do you want to talk about it?” No. But-

It was too late when a sob escaped your lips, one sob and countless tears, now that it had begun, you couldn’t control it, and you hated it that he had to see you like this, this weak, this embarrassing. Hands flew immediately to your face, letting your hair cover your condition like a curtain. But no matter how much you covered yourself, there was nothing that could stifle the evidence of your sorrow.

Even though your tears, a shiver covered your spine when you felt the soft hand from before resting on the small of your back, pushing you ever so gently closer to him, you didn’t stop him. You didn’t stop him when his arm came around your shoulders, letting you come in contact with his strong yet incredibly soft chest as his hand rested close to your collarbone and his head leaned in close to your neck, lips brushing lightly over your ear when he once again whispered; “What’s wrong?”

It was hard speaking through your strong sobs, but when Baekhyun’s hand slid from your shoulder down to your back and stroke soft circles of heat with his thumb you magically found yourself calming down. You didn’t know how he did that, how he with his sole presence could purify your darkened heart.

“I- I will never be enough,” You cried, hand fisting a handful of his white, expensive button-up, but he couldn’t care less about the wrinkles forming on it as he finally closed both of his arms around your frame, letting you petite body press completely against his.

“Hey,” He soothed, “What is this about? ” His cheek pressed affectionately against yours, his lips caressing your skin with a touch feather-light and you had no idea if it was safe for him to hold you this close to him in his own classroom, if it was safe for you to give away all of your heart to him right now, to let him hear your throbbing heartbeat, to let him see your weaknesses. But his comforting scent felt like home and in this moment where you felt lost in the darkness you didn’t know resided within you- he was the only source of light that you were willing to follow.

“Whatever I do will never be enough, I will never be the best I can be, I just hate everything about myself at the moment. I’m a horrible person, I- I felt envy towards the people I love- I-”

“Y/n,” He demanded softly, the sound of his voice vibrated soothingly from his chest as he spoke.

“Don’t compete with others, there’s no point in doing that. Every student has his own fortes and struggles, you are no different. There are certain things in which you can’t succeed at once, you have to fight your way up there.” Biting your lips, more tears welled inside of your eyes- not because of sorrow, but because his words hit home, just like the rest of his being did.

“Don’t hate yourself for not reaching your goal just yet, don’t give up on yourself like that, you have potential, you are amazing and as your teacher, I know you can get there if only you befriended yourself instead of fighting with yourself. You are you, you don’t need to look at others, okay?” He said, two fingers lifting your chin so that you could meet his strong gaze filled with sincerity and determination. “Whichever your goal is, you don’t have to reach it alone, you don’t have to rely on those who make you feel pressured, you can come to me and we’ll figure it out. Is that clear?”

“Crystal,” Your voice trembled but was by now definitely stable enough to form sentences.

“Sometimes, we’re bound to feel envious, but it’s only in our nature, it won’t make you a bad person, you just want to do your best, I know how you feel, but sometimes, we have to be stronger than the envy and force ourselves to ignore those thoughts.” Baekhyun was taking in every detail of your face as he let his heart speak, fingers gently combing through your hair and gently curling stray hair behind your ear, you only nodded.

“ You’re a good girl.” He cooed, leaning in to place his lips close to yours, landing on the corner of your mouth, lingering there while all you could do was close your eyes and succumb to the softness of his texture against yours, feeling eager to lock your lips with his- but knowing it’s yet too soon for that. When he moved his lips to close them shortly on every inch of yours, leaving pure pecks that wouldn’t lead to something more, nothing more but the proof that loved him, and now you knew he did too. And perhaps one day, you’d be comforted by the gift of a breathtaking kiss, like the ones you’d dreamed of.

For exo drabble game can I get vampire baek when he finds out he is mates with a girl he has a crush on? Fluff please >.

it was just another day, the sky outside was clouded and on the school’s windows’ you could hear the soft noise of raindrops hitting against it. Although the weather wasn’t that cheerful, Baekhyun found himself enjoying it in the library; his eyes lazily scanning the letters on the newly turned page of the book he was currently reading. It’s not that he liked reading, neither was rain his favorite weather, but he got the chance to sit alone with you in such a quiet and reserved place where he could have you for himself

That he liked spending time with you was an understatement, he was sure that could spend his whole days with you if he had the chance. But for now he had to satisfy himself with spending time with you at school. In reality: he didn’t need school, he was a vampire and his age was by far past the high school student period. But from the very first time he had spotted you walking out of this school he had felt a strong pull towards you, his heart had started beating unusually fast for the first time in his whole life, he felt somehow alive.

His snow pale skin would always seem healthier whenever he was around you. He wasn’t sure why his body reacted this way you, but he didn’t mind it. Baekhyun had signed up for this school just to get to know you, and his expectations had been fulfilled because you were so far the nicest girl he had ever met, simple, beautiful and calm. Anything you would do, he would find it amazing. Baekhyun almost felt embarrassed with himself, with his thoughts and fantasies.

Just like he had been doing for the past hour Baekhyun stared at you, because you were way more intriguing to him than the adventure written on the randomly picked book in front of him. Your eyes were like a fairy tail and your hair made him want to run his fingers through it, just to see if it was as soft as it looked. And that was a rare thing for him, since he’d mostly avoid contact with humans, but with you- It was different, all he wanted to do was be as close to you as possible because otherwise he would feel lost and alone, like all the strength inside of his body just vanished. He would feel weak, sometimes even ill.

When you suddenly stood up from your seat, he followed your moves just as fast, not missing a chance to come with you. There was a serious look on your face as you wandered towards the romance department of the library and for a moment Baekhyun found himself wondering what kind of love was it that you wished for. His heart dropped as he realized that he probably didn’t want to know. Because it would never concern him, who would want a vampire, someone as scary as him? Someone who needed blood to keep himself alive, a monster? He was sure that he would scare you away if you ever got to know his real identity.

“Y/n, am I scary?” Baekhyun blurted out before he could stop himself as he watched you not get bothered the least by his question while you searched for an interesting title among the many books.

“Not at all, you’re very calm and sincere, I like it, I like spending time with you.” you said while lifting yourself on your toes to reach for a book whom was placed higher up the bookshelf. You didn’t notice because you weren’t looking, but Baekhyun’s face has reddened as much as a vampire could ever blush, the red was all the way up to his ears and he couldn’t explain the sudden burst in his chest, he felt so..so..Happy..?

Your eyes widened when you felt a sudden presence behind you, but visibly relaxed when it was just Baekhyun helping you out. Electric chills went down your spine as you felt his chest brush against your back, but that wasn’t it.

When his hand grabbed yours there was suddenly a blinding light, a burning sensation on your wrist. When the brightness had died down, the two of you eyed each other with wide eyes, equal questioning looks exchanged.

Baekhyun’s eyes wandered to your wrist where a sudden drawing had appeared, you couldn’t believe your eyes as you had never had something similar printed on your skin before, though your gaze snapped to Baekhyun’s when you heard him loudly gasp next to you. The breath got stuck in your lungs the moment you did so because as soon as you had turned you were hidden in his arms, Baekhyun’s scent washing over you but you couldn’t mind it as it suddenly had become the most amazing scent you had ever smelled.

His arms the safest place you had ever found yourself in. It all seemed to obvious in that moment. You just realized how much you actually liked this boy. But he had just found out that the girl who had intrigued him from the first glance was bound to be with him for the rest of his life. Baekhyun’s arms tightened around you, because he knew, that he wouldn’t ever want anyone else.

im always soft for baekhyun it hurts... a scenario where he has a daughter/son and he and his s/o are being all cute with them

The soft noise of the rain tapping against the windows resounded inside every room and the wind rustled loudly against the windows, to your despleasure, it had been such a dark weather the whole day, which hadn’t given you any chance to go out for the everyday walk that you usually would have with your two kids.

Although it wasn’t that late in the evening yet, you and Baekhyun had already settled each other under the covers, the idea of sharing some of each other’s warmth under the covers had sounded too tempting to wait. Not many words were shared, a few quiet conversations every now and then occurred while he was propped on one arm, gently running his slender fingers through your hair and occasionally leaning down to press his lips to your skin.

Baekhyun’s hand had already traveled to your neck when his lips had found yours, but you barely got to enjoy the sweetness before the door to your bedroom slammed open, making the two of you part immediately. Two short figures stood by the door.

They were both rubbing their eyes tiredly as you and Baekhyun quickly sat up to see what your small girls wanted.

“The storm is scary,” Joyce explained, her high pitched voice broke dryly in the middle of her explanation.

“Can we sleep with you?” Lisa continued, shyly averting her big eyes from the ground to look at you. Her small feet curled against the cold floor as her hands clamped together in hope that you’d let her and Joyce join the warmth of your covers.

Baekhyun had reacted faster than you, eyeing his girls with a soft smile, you could tell that they had managed to melt his heart, just like every other time they asked him for something. Baekhyun was just like that, he couldn’t ever resist his treasures.

“Of course, come here!” He chimed cheerily, hoping that it would make them feel less scared. In less than a few seconds, Joyce and Lisa were already excitedely crawling up on your king-sized bed.

Baekhyun’s grin widened all the way to his ears as he let Joyce jump into his arms while Lisa curled herself into a ball next to you. Putting his arms under Joyce’s arms, he lifted her ever so slightly up, making her squeal cutely, her eyes forming into the crescent moons that were so familiar to Baekhyun’s.

“How could I ever say no to my princesses?”

Hi Love. Can I get a Mafia!Baek getting soft for the love of his life, after somebody pissed him off severely? Lots of kissing and cuddles for angry Baek, till he feels better? Thanks much! ***

Avatar

The door closed with a loud slam when Baekhyun entered the shared apartment, sighs and irritated huffs kept leaving his pretty lips as he angrily kicked his shoes off. His eyes were squinted in a permanent glare, the slight amount of smudging eyeliner made his gaze even darker, and to anyone else saw him in that state, they would’ve run away without a second thought. Everything from his posture to his clothes screamed trouble and mafia, and while that was actually true, you knew him better than that.

“Baek?”You called from the kitchen, worry laced in your voice because of the aggressive entrance. Though it still amazed him how just the single sound of your voice was able to make any possible weight lift from his chest.

Just like he normally was when mad, he simply approached without a word. You were currently chopping on various vegetables when Baekhyun slid his hands around your waist from behind, a heavy, frustrated sigh left his lips before he ran the tip of his nose against the side of your neck, nuzzling his face into your scented hair, his eyes closing with relief.

With your hands under the water, you asked the question that had popped into your head from the very first moment he stepped inside the house.

“What’s wrong honey?” You cooed, eventually turning around in his arms so that you could face him properly. Your hand reached out to softly ease the tension between his brows, making his glare immediately soften and as he wasn’t in the mood for talking, he only grabbed your hand, leaning down to press his lips to yours without warning. The shivers that went down your spine felt like fireworks, and it amazed you how he still was able to make your heart skip with a single kiss.

A surprised hum left your lips, something that made him deepen the wonders that he was doing your lips, tightening his grip around your middle.

It didn’t take long before he eventually dragged you to the couch just so that you could play with his hair, something that calmed him down so well, while he would keep his lips close to your face so that he could place his soft kisses wherever he wished.

Hiii!!! Can I request a soft nerdy Baek Hyun that shyly approaches his bad girl girlfriend for lunch, then shies away from all her teasing and pda? Thankies~~ College Level pls n thanks!

Baekhyun’s tray landed with a soft thud next yours, as always, his moves were so careful and light. His big glasses hung low on his nose and you wondered how they hadn’t fallen off yet. With a confident grin on your face, you couldn’t help but scoot closer and throw an arm around his shoulders, making him almost jump at the sudden moves. He eyed you with big startled eyes and your heart softened at the adorable view.

“Why are you so cute all the time?” You chimed and with your index finger pushed his glasses back on the bridge of his nose. Baekhyun’s cheeks visibly pinked as his eyes adverted from yours back to the tray full of food. He was so shy, and while that sometimes was frustrating, it was also very cute. His big puppy eyes never failed to make you want to throw your arms around him. You were mainly the one that showed physical affection, sometimes he’d push you away because of his overwhelming shyness, but other times he would relax against you and stay in your warm embrace. Sometimes he would be the one giving you hugs and kisses when you’d expect it the least, because those were the only moments where he would bring himself to do it.

Your friends always questioned your relationship. He was a wallflower while you were fierce and loud, someone who took much space. Someone who many would notice, while Baekhyun would mainly stay in the background. You were two completely different personalities. But just like magnets, you attracted each other.

Your hand went to ruffle his soft, blonde hair and you just loved the way his ears burned with red. With a frustrated pout, he gently took your wrist and placed it back in your lap. People in the mess hall were staring curiously at the interactions with your shy boyfriend, wondering if he would act any different with you. People barely knew the sound of his voice because of his quiet persona. But you did, his voice was the sweetest, it had the most melodious laugh and the most delicate whisper. Secretly, you were happy to be the only one to know these traits about him.

“Humph,” You pouted angrily at him, arms crossing on your chest, giving him no choice but to face you.

“You’re making it look like you hate me in front of everyone,” Baekhyun gave you a troubled expression, you had no idea what was going through his head the moment his cheeks reddened once more as he scratched his nape.

And just like every other time, when you were the least expecting it, his lips pressed lightly to yours, the students’ reaction mingled into one big gasp as he did so and for a moment you thought that your heart would stop beating.

Baekhyun’s eyelashes fluttered against the apple of your cheeks when he leaned away ever so slightly, his lips forming into a thin line.

“But you know that I really like you.”
