Hey everyone!

So I know that this isnt something that you'd typically see from me or on my blog, but I'm in a desparate place and in need of help. I have already reached out to all family and friends about potentially loaning or borrowing money but they are unable to as they are in rough financial situations. My name is Codiac - Codi for short. 

I've been struggling with mental and physical illness nearly my whole life. I am diagnosed and struggle with C-PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, DID, and Lupus ( a chronic autoimmune disorder in which your body becomes confused and attacks itself causing chronic pain, fatigue, and in some cases organ shutdown/failure. ) because of my flare ups and symptoms I am unable to work in a corparate setting. When my symptoms get bad I typically can barely walk or even stand and am at risk for fainting/falling.

I will be attempting to be placed on disability. However this is a lengthy process that can take several years to accomplish. In the mean time I am working several odd jobs through people I know to try to raise money, but if I were to do this on my own it would take me well over a year to raise the amount I need. 

After speaking with many therapists, psychologists, and several doctors, we have concluded that the best option for me ( on top of specialized treatment ) is for me to get a service dog. However, I need help affording this because I am unable to work. 

All of the money raised will go towards the following:

• paying for the actual dog itself ( a pure bread German Shepherd from a working line bread for service work )

• paying for shots/vaccinations/overall vet bills

• paying for gear such as a service dog vest, collar & leash

• paying for needs such as toys, food, etc. 

• paying for professional training services through a local company. 

Thank you so much for reading through this, for your time, and donations. This is going to be a new start for me. Thank you for making this possible.

Hey there! Someone who is otherkin Identifies AS, not with, a specific creature, animal, person, etc. Otherkin can be psychological ( or at least believed to be such. ) Not all kin believe in spiritual things. Otherkin is an internal identity – It is not something that can be chosen!So technically, based off of this definition, it is possible to be kin with anything, yeah! Being otherkin has to do with an unchosen internal identity. However I feel like sometimes otherkin and otherhearted are misused or used in place of each other, which is incorrect. HERE is a little about otherkin and similar terms if you’d like to read more about them! I hope this was somewhat helpful~!

Hey there anon~What you’re describing is called Copinglink and is not the same thing as being otherkin. The difference between Otherkin and copinglink is that someone who is otherkin can NOT choose what their kintype is. Someone who is copinglink is able to chose to identify with or as another creature or character in order to cope with stressful situations. Because the individual is able to CHOOSE the things they are identifying as, they are not otherkin because otherkin is not something that is chosen. Hope this helps~!
