Short one of a baker's dozen

I'm Megs. I just wanted a place to write and share my feelings and experiences. I'm horrible at writing and grammar so don't expect anything astounding.

Some knitting patterns are like pastry recipes* and some are more like soup recipes**.

Normally, I knit soup, but I’m knitting pastry at the moment and it is a different experience.

*follow these instructions exactly

**here is one way to make soup, but you can always just use this as a jumping off point and add whatever’s in your fridge and you will still get soup

i’m a knitter who sources my patterns online, but i don’t crochet, which means i have a very specific issue that not a lot of other ppl are aware of:

crocheters keep putting their fucking patterns and content under the knitting tag on all social media platforms and pattern selling sites, which clogs up any hope of finding a pattern you want to knit.

Started a Fair Isle Flair Blanket to start using up some of my Thick and Quick scraps in my stash.

I said last year I was going to stash bust and it was mildly successful. Decided I would continue into this year to try and tame the beast. So far wildly failing. I bought a big bag of discontinued Red Heart Baby Clouds yarn off of FB market place today. Very much not my colour or style I usually go for, but since seeing it a week ago I haven't gotten it off my mind. I'm thinking hot water bottle cozies and maybe some cute little bigfoots.

The fair went fairly well. Didn't make a lot of sales due to most people thinking it would mainly be readings and jewelry, but I recieved a lot of great feedback. We're scheduled to show at another on Dec 2nd. My friend who initially got this whole thing rolling will be there and will be bringing a bunch of my stuff along with a like minded fiber creator to show at the table. Sadly due to not being able to take more time off and working night shifts I won't be there for the whole thing.

I do have a rather long list of orders to complete so that's been keeping me busy. 7 mittens and a scarf to be exact along with a couple of pairs of tiny trigger mittens for my nephew and to finish off the second totoro mitten.

A friend of mine joined a witchy themed craft fair and offered for me to join her table. I have so many ideas and so little time (it's Nov 18th). I'm thinking tarot wraps/pouches, leaf mug rugs and candle mats. Maybe some witch hats since I just knit one for said friend. I also have a crazy idea for a pendulum mat that may or may not happen.

Amongst this journey I also have to finish a second mitten for a birthday gift all while working overnights.

A few things I've finished the past couple of months. I did a moonphase bag with lining and all for an exchange and I'm seriously regretting not getting better pictures or video of it. I even lined it! I also handdyed some yarn to knit a tarot wrap for a friend and now I have a funky idea for a tarot wrap I might try knitting in the future.
