Olivier had only then truly understood what it meant that she was betrothed already, to a prince not even born. She’d be much older than her husband, would probably carry many burdens in his stead, would maybe even have to rule. When seeing how the other young girls her age talked about betrothals and what was expected of them, she felt like she’d gotten almost lucky.
Looking back on these memories of her childhood-thoughts, she questioned if luck had truly had a hand in her fate, or if it maybe was something else. Was taken with how things had changed, how different the truth of the now was from the one she'd known before. Yet Olivier knew that she'd take it on, whatever may be.
...I know it’s only Chapter 1, but I have a plan this time and only a lack of time to work around, so bear with me :P

1. What OTPs in your fandom do you just not get?
I... gosh, I think I’m gonna be grilled for that, but what’s the appeal of Ed/Ling? Like, I get it’s really loved and the people seem happy, so who am I to say anything? But I honestly don’t get it, these two are cool with each other, yes, but... I just don’t know^^
6. Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?
Uhm... I don’t think so? Like, I hate very few pairings and as of yet I’ve not started loving any of them, so there’s that. Some people pulled me into unlikely pairings though, does that count? Someone somehow fixed me on a heavy canon-au with Olivier/King Bradley for example. Don’t know how that happend^^
16. If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?
While I love the nuance the show gives in many arcs, I’d have like a bit less of it in certain matters, like the Ishvalan genocide. A more fierce stance would’ve worked wonders there I think. I’d also die to see more about Briggs and Ishval though, as we get most of these characters shown, but only on a very superficial level I feel. Their impact by that, and their opinions, their importance to the plot, often going unnoticed I feel. Like with Olivier and Alex: Of course she did not hate him, though she belittled him often. Not for not fighting against the Ishvalans as many seem to think though, but because he did not stand by his believes. If he thought that fighting and killing the Ishvalans was wrong, he should’ve tried to righten this wrong in her opinion, not let it happen and walk away. It’s a complicated issue that would’ve easily been resolved with a bit more screentime I think and would’ve helped to give the characters more depth.

I have to say no here, the ships I truly dislike from the ground up are not really popular at all. Like, I detest Kimblee shipped with any of the Ishvalans, Kimblee/Miles something that especially gives me the creeps. Scrolled past immediatly by me. There’s some more like that. Though I also have to say: I’ve seen a lot of ships you’d think of as icky done really well^^
The closest to this question is possibly Royai, but only at times? Like, it hinges /a lot/ on how the author puts it in the given circumstances, because they are instances of them I just can’t stand. But I’d never see them as a NOTP.
20. What is the purest ship in the fandom?
Al/Mei, hands down. Have you seen them?! They are so effing pure! Also: Bucc/Automail! Love
22. Popular character you hate?
What’s the deal with Kimblee guys, honestly? Or Envy for that matter? I mean, do what you like, I just scroll past your love-letters to either of them, but... like, what’s the appeal? I don’t get it^^

Well, I hope I get this question right, as I take it as whether I don’t ship the most popular ship because it’s popular? Sorry, I can’t english today^^
For me the thing is... I ship the popular ships. Royai? Edwing? AlMei? All these ships are sailing for me. I just like other ships more I think, for their dynamic, the new ways in which the fandom for those always goes. And it got also a lot to do with character appeal I guess? Like, I just /prefer/ the Ishvalan characters and Briggs crew over the rest? So I’d say I’m plenty biased too^^
19. What is the one thing you hate the most about your fandom?
Oh, tough question. It is sometimes super one-track-minded and not really feeling open to new things (though maybe I just need to follow different blogs for this). I mean, you find everything Royai in abundance, but everything else is already turning way more scarce. Though this ties into one thing I’ve seen quite often that really gets me salty: the purity culture. You can’t ship that, nor this. It’s all wrong. No, that’s not canon, see, it’s like that! ...it’s very tyring at times, especially when things are discussed that are really open to interpretation.
