Hello! Would you happen to have any images or animations for Ruggie's ears when they dip down? I've been looking everywhere to find a good, slowed down animation for when his ears are down but am turning up nothing. I loved how you did the head turn for Malleus' horns and was wondering if you could help out with the Ruggie Ears if possible <3

i can only move his ears one at a time, but if you're okay with that here you go! (sorry for a lil bit of stuttering, i was trying to be careful about getting them back into default position)

Update Time

So here comes the long-winded update about where I’ve been for people that may have wondered.  Long story short, we ended up homeless, and had to move in with family that tested positive for COVID-19 and we’re slowly putting our lives back together.  Feel free to scroll on by though, I won’t be offended.  Thank you for your time.

Steak: Nonexistent (jaw problems means no steak for me)

Milk: Lactose-free

Alcohol: Nonexistent (medication means no alcohol!)

Warm drink: Hot Chocolate with mint (either adding a peppermint candy or putting a mint tea bag into it because I’m strange like that)

IF YOU ARE UNMARRIED, DON'T HAVE KIDS, AND HATE YOUR PARENTS PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HAVE A FUCKING WILL

this has been a public service announcement from your friendly neighborhood probate lawyer

Again:

1. The law doesn't care how long your parents and family have been out of your life

2. The law doesn't care about your long term friends or "found family"

If you don't have legal documents that say otherwise, your biological family calls all the shots.

This goes especially for LGBTQ+. Please do not get deadnamed in your obituary.

How to make a living will (Advance Healthcare Directive) so you don’t get fucked over by biological family if you end up in a situation where you cannot make your own healthcare choices.

If youre trans, this video is a good ref to start with and she provides links and organizations that can help

The narrative of ‘this person was disabled but their disability was cured as part of their story’ is ableist

The narrative of ‘this person is disabled but “overcame” disability in order for them to be a hero’ (e.g. a paralysed person finding a way to walk) is ableist

And just for clarification for the non-disabled, using adaptive technologies, like prostheses or whatever, is not ableist as long as you never forget. Ask yourself questions about the benefits but also the limitations of whatever adaptive thing you’re giving the character.

  • They have to take a pill every day to treat a chronic illness or chronic pain? Okay, what happens when they forget, or are in a bad situation and run out of pills?
  • They lost a limb or are paralyzed and now they have a sci-fi cybernetic prosthesis/exoskeleton to replace the lost functionality? Cool. What does maintenance look like? Does it ever malfunction? What happens if they don’t or can’t take care of it? Do they still get phantom pains even with the adaptation?
  • They’re deaf or blind or anosmic, but they’re a wizard who uses magic to adapt to the lost sense? Fine. What does it take to maintain that magic? Do they have adaptive strategies for when the magic fails?
  • They’re autistic or have ADHD or schizophrenia or some other cognitive disorder, and they have a chip in their head to make it easier to communicate when non-verbal? Okay. What exactly does it do for them? Does it ever malfunction or give them headaches? What are other ways they’ve adapted to their disability apart from this chip?

Other questions to ask that go for all kinds of things:

  • Do they have a service animal? For what tasks or situations is it trained?
  • Do their family/friends know how to help if their adaptive technologies/strategies fail?
  • Is their disability (or the adaptation) visible or observable to others? How do others react?
  • Has their society adapted to accommodate disabilities, and if so, in what ways? (Ramps, closed captions, sign language, etc.)

Basically, think about what it adds to the story to have your character disabled. If you were just going to completely cure it with no ongoing repercussions or adaptations, why did you bother making them disabled in the first place? What story were you telling?

really good addition

Consider this an update to let you guys know that we’ll be moved out hopefully by the end of the week.

As a bit of insult to injury, my laptop battery has decided to die. So. My first priority once I finally start getting unemployment is a new computer, maybe after that would be a new battery.

At least if I disappear mid-conversation or in the middle of a dungeon run because a cat pulled out my power cord, you’ll know why.

Getting Evicted!!!  :D

Hey guys!  Guess what!  We’re getting evicted!

:D

So yeah, the people who paid for comms a while ago know that I was put on a 2 week notice to find a new contract or a new job, and it turns out, because of the pandemic, I can’t freaking get one.  I have applied to so many jobs in the span of a month, and have been rejected over and over and over.  So, needless to say, loss of income.  Problem is, the leasing office said MONTHS AGO to provide proof of loss of income and they’d review things on a case by case basis... I went to ask what they needed and we were told to just pay what we can and expect evictions to start at the end of August.

So we got served our 30-day notice, and we’re waiting for the trial date notice in the mail.  Problem is, the notice we got from leasing SPECIFICALLY MENTIONS THE PROOF THING, so I’ve written an email straight to the property manager asking for clarification, but the expectation is we’re being evicted, and we’ve got 30 days to move back in with my parents and my sister into a single household because I have no income and unemployment in our state is so backed up that people haven’t been getting income for MONTHS.  We’re lucky enough that we got food stamps, otherwise we’d be screwed.  We’re trying to get some kind of help for medical tho, cuz wife is diabetic and could die from this shit.

All in all, not a good time.

To the people I have comms waiting for: I promise I will try to do them as soon as possible.  We’re stuck between extreme crippling dissociative periods, a mad rush for me to find a job, and an even bigger rush to get our stuff packed AGAIN so we can move AGAIN because we’re going to be homeless AGAIN.  Except this time it’s not because I’m getting underpaid for my job and we can’t afford cost of living, it’s because leasing literally won’t work with us DESPITE their claims that they will.

So, this is mostly an update to let you guys know where the hell I am.  If you see me on FFXIV, then for the love of everything, know that hugs will be greatly appreciated.  I’m barely on as it is because I just.  can’t function well enough to even try.  At least I caught up on MSQ though.  Yay.

Long time no see! I’ve been much more active on twitter, but  because of dire situations Ive had to open up really cheap commissions.

Its simple black and white but I need to not take hours on them sadly. If you are interested please dm me.

edit: For a little more clarification, my husband and I are currently burning through what savings we have to pay bills. He started a new job that isnt paying him and while he is looking for another job we are near the end of our savings. We cant move back to the state with his parents because no one is currently allowed in or out of it. And we cannot rightly rely on my parents because they are jerks. I have medical issues that keep me from being able to properly work a job (bad ibs/anxiety/possible immune disorder) so we are really stuck between a rock and a hard place. Our mortgage and bills are not much (2k a month) but making that right now is borderline impossible since no one wants to hire. My husband does not want to go to the job that fired him - the oil fields - because it wrecked his body the few years he was there. Please, if you cannot com thats fine its tough times, but please reblog this so that it can reach those who can.

Yep, getting laid off tomorrow. Making plans to try and manage eviction since the moratorium ends before the month does. If I vanish, I’m still here, so y’all can message me if you need me.

Commissions will stay open because we absolutely need the help, but I have no idea when I’ll be able to get to them.

Figured it was time for an update. Things have been. Bad. Very bad.

I was basically given two weeks to find a new job, internal or external, due to reasons I can’t get into. Today is my last day to have a definite answer on a position, with Monday being the day I have to turn everything in. I had a position I was trying to get in on for months, but with the pandemic happening and there being a number of mix-ups about my level of experience, I haven’t gotten an answer in time. So unless I get an answer today... I’m stuck.

For the news people are more likely to be concerned about: Calypso’s health. Calypso is doing great after surgery. Despite the odds against her, they removed the tumor and her stitches healed up so well that the vet was amazed. They were worried it wouldn’t heal right and she would need long-term care that might result in amputation. She beat the odds there, so we’re now working to prepare ourselves for her next big hurdle: cancer.

Her biopsy came back positive for basosquamous carcinoma. The vet is hopeful that it hadn’t spread, and she’s looking very healthy despite the circumstances. The only health issue she has otherwise is obesity, so the vet is very hopeful right now. We’ll see how it goes, we’re giving her the best life we can and making sure she’s happy and comfortable for however long we have her.

Everyone that helped out to make sure she got her surgery, we owe you everything. I’ll be back to working on commissions again on Monday or so most likely, since by that point I won’t be jumping through hoops trying to keep my job anymore. I’m really sorry about the delay.
