I'm looking for a new cell phone for the first time in ~7 years, and I know why old people are Like That about technology.
If you’ve been stuck trying to please a mom who became abusive/toxic because of generational trauma, realize you won’t save her. You might be the subject of your mom’s rage, paranoia, obsession etc - but you are not the cause of it. And if you didn’t change her after all those years of begging her, bargaining with her, self-harming, isolating, defending yourself, etc, you are not going to change her now. When they say “you can only save someone who wants to be saved”, that applies here. When they say “the only person who you can control is yourself” that applies here. Please let go of this guilt that you carry for something that’s entirely out of your hands. These ideas are pertinent to creating your path to freedom.
how do we feel about very small snails?
many land snails are very small, even some smaller than these, but they’re easy to miss even if you’re already accustomed to looking for tiny invertebrates.
these are different Vallonia species but I’ll need a different angle of the shell for a good ID. At ~2mm, both are full-sized adults; you can tell by the peristome (lip) at the aperture of the shell!
every single day I think about how american black vultures are known for engaging in allopreening (preening between different species)
and they have a specific relationship with crested caracaras, in which the black vultures assist them by not only preening them after meals but also leading them to food in the first place— due to their superior sense of smell— while the caracaras assist the black vultures by acting as a warning signal in case of danger
and while this is more typical of black vultures, this is not common at all for any member of the falconidae family— it’s a special bond!
yet another post in favor of vultures everyone , hope you enjoy:) and I implore you to do some more research on these incredible birds !!
God this article is an exercise in abuse apologism:
Accusing the accuser of being a goldigger? ✅️
Accusing the accuser of tarnishing someone's reputation? ✅️
Saying that there is no evidence to support the accusation? ✅️
Mentioning mob mentality and cancel culture? ✅️✅️
Saying that someone's (the alleged abuser's mostly) reputation and/or career is at stake? ✅️
I bet the writer is a White woman.
Yuppppp. White women supporting abusive White women? The White feminism tracks.
Beautiful 😍😍😍
