looking up fics for a specific character, getting several chapters in hoping they’ll at least be treated well in the fic even if it’s a cameo… only for them to get killed off

Obligatory jedisona scribble because I joined local lightsaber dueling class (akademia saberarts if you wonder) and it was an Experience™😄 ( Everyone was super nice and gave me tips and pointers, it was honestly very fun and I was just a clown life hazard but it will happen again 🥰)

no piece of teen media has ever accurately depicted the quiet psychological warfare of bullying. bullies on TV are always dumb brutes and not the evil geniuses of emotional manipulation that they are in real life. being given a wedgie and having your lunch money stolen is nothing in comparison to a classmate quietly creating a taboo against speaking to you that they intend to enforce against all the other kids. it’s nothing like continuous cutting comments from people you thought were being nice to you. that way that the work of one kid can make you feel like every person on earth silently hates you and that you are dirty, disgusting, worthless, creepy and useless. that you can have friends but many of them will not speak to you at school for fear of the social consequences on their end. how that damage lasts in any social setting for the rest of your life

you can’t even “tell a trusted adult” because you cannot begin to articulate the thousands of small transgressions you’ve experienced building to the horror of knowing your peers would like you dead. they don’t have to say it or hurt you physically. they have other ways of letting you know they’d prefer if you were worn fuel

(Late in answering but it has been A Week. Meme questions here if anyone wants to ask more.)

From the Kanan comics: Depa Billaba knows her explosives and is highly skilled at fine-control telekinesis. She stops a bomber from killing Caleb by catching the bomb, recognizing the specific type of bomb, making sure its inner chambers never connect, and explains what she's doing while she's doing it. Studying the panels even closer, it pretty much looks like she fuses together the "doors" keeping the two liquids separate.

She either has spent a lot of time studying explosives or has encountered that particular kind of bomb before so she knew what she was dealing with. Maybe it was both.

Basically: Depa is awesome.

okay a couple ppl in the reblogs pointed out that in the last gif luke is questioning if ben ever used this on him and I think that’s a great way to go but i’m proposing what if instead this is the moment luke realizes that all the times he somehow miraculously talked himself out of getting beaten up by whatever tatooine thug had it out for him that week had nothing to do with his natural charms and much more to do with the fact that he can apparently control minds

I absolutely love the Jedi younglings and their relationships with the older members of the Jedi!  Every time we see the younglings, they seem happy and upbeat, they’re cheerful and adorable and precious, while the adults watch on fondly. From the all the way back to Attack of the Clones, where we see Yoda being utterly delighted by the children he’s teaching, he’s practically gleefully selling Obi-Wan out in front of the kids, he’s using the moment to teach them and show that, even as children, their insights are valuable.  Yoda says, very plainly in front of the kids, “Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is.” and shows them that their insight into how Kamino came to be missing from the Archives is valuable. Plus, those kids are SO STINKING CUTE.

Then, all throughout The Clone Wars, we see how pretty much every Jedi that Ahsoka interacts with, they’re ready to take her under their wing and teach her! Whether they’re her Master–

The Master of her Master, who is still helping them both–

The Jedi she has a special relationship with–

Whether it’s Yoda, who pretty much everyone seems to go to when they need advice–

Or simply a Jedi she happened to be around for the day–

Every single one of them took time to explain things to her, teach lessons to her, listen to her, guide her, help her. Hell, the Jedi even seem to like it when non-Jedi can help teach their children, to give them even more perspectives on things, like how Ahsoka works with Riyo Chuchi or Padme.

Because the Jedi love their children and Ahsoka is the character we see that demonstrated through, that all these different Jedi don’t have to be assigned to be her Master to want to help her, they’re just there to help her however they can! And that’s further reflected in the way Ahsoka herself then passes that same encouragement and affection on to the other younglings–in “The Gathering”, we get to see how adorable and happy and cheerful those younlings are once again!

Look at them!  Those kids are such happy kids!  And Ahsoka is so patient and kind with them– Like, when she’s showing them how they all have to work together to open the doors to the Temple on Ilum, she is so good with them and encourages them and is pleased with what they’ve accomplished:

You know that’s exactly how her trip to Ilum went as well. Further, you can see it in the way Yoda interacts with the younglings afterwards as well, he explains the lessons he was teaching them and you can just see those kids blossoming under the patience and kindness and care of Yoda’s praise for them:

One of the most telling things as well, is the vision that’s meant to tempt Yoda, to lull him into a fugue, it’s a peaceful, beautiful vision of what the Jedi Temple is at its most ideal– Where children are freely, happily running around and laughing, darting in and around the adults!

That is what Yoda views as the ideal version of everything, a Jedi Order that no longer has to fight a war–all with the Jedi we recognize.  And not just Masters talking with Masters, but Knights and Padawans and Masters all mixing together. I LOVE ALL OF IT.  THE JEDI YOUNGLINGS ARE SO FREAKING CUTE AND THEY’RE SUCH GOOD KIDS AND WE SEE SUCH JOY IN THEIR LIVES AND SO MANY BROTHERS AND SISTERS THERE TO TAKE CARE OF THEM AND WATCH OVER THEM AND GUIDE THEM. A Jedi is never alone because they were always connected through the Force, but also the Jedi Temple was full of people who were always ready to help take some time to work with a youngling–and, I mean, seriously, YOU CAN’T BLAME THEM BECAUSE LOOK HOW CUTE THESE PRECIOUS KIDDOS ARE:

I’D SPEND ALL MY TIME HELPING THE BBS TOO IF I WAS SURROUNDED BY THIS MANY PRECIOUS CHILDREN.

In Korea, the country I live, May is often called family's month, because in this month we have children's day, parent's day, and teacher's day as well. Especially for the parents' and teacher's days, we prepare carnations to gifts and share the respects and loves. What am I saying ah so anyway just made simple sketch and that's all.

This is a tear shed from lazy me who just lost the timing of May the 4th.
