Well, I got hit with this plot bunny a few months ago, and I liked it a hell of a lot. So I wrote it… got stuck on it… and finished it last night. Not entirely pleased with the ending, but, fuck it. It’s done

Side note: I half-invented a song for Trickster for this, complete with Korean lyrics. I do not speak Korean so I have no idea how well it works. Please correct me if you see any errors

Seoul and its people were so beautiful, it made her feel a little insecure. Not a new feeling, just a new reason for it. Fuel for her music, her producer would chirp, and the woman wasn’t wrong. But it still got exhausting sometimes.

They’d made it to the hotel without any fuss or fanfare. For the first time in months, Sunshine walked from a car into a building without seeing a single camera flash. No one knew she was here, somehow, except for the people that needed to know. Secrecy was the most important thing, she’d been told. No one could know anything.

Yeah, she was used to that.

Outside her hotel window, the city glittered, electric stars reflected by glass and steel. She sat at the table, hands folded together, staring at the view. Well past midnight now. Wasn’t jet lag keeping her awake tonight. The tea she made to soothe her nerves had gone cold. 

He’d texted her thirty minutes ago.

Hey, Sunshine! It’s Ji-Woon. How was your trip? I bet you’re asleep but I’m too excited, I had to say hi. I can’t wait to work with you ❤️

In between the crackling thunder, a young man screamed in agony, sweet as the music of a harpsichord.

Footsteps pounded like the rain through the stolen, repurposed corpse of a building. An office, once, now a shell like any other mortal body. Down the many stairs the footsteps carried, sneakers squeaking wet on dirty tile. Down the stairs and through the halls, she ran.

Why the persistence? Too late, far too late, to save her friend. But the young woman resisted the obvious. Dark of hair and pure of heart, he could not harm her yet. He watched the sweat drip down her warm brown skin, how she brushed the strands of hair from her face. Standing, kneeling, struggling, suffering.

He watched and he wondered. Yes, he did wonder.

I think my desire (desperation really) to write original fiction so I can get paid for my work hindered me in a lot of ways

Writing original fiction for publishing, even self publishing, is stressful. I feel judged. And I just wanna write my stuff.

I guess if I were to write original fiction inspired by trickshine or my other horror interests, I guess I'd just talk about it here. At least I can give it a try.

... I still wanna write fanfic though. I miss it.

Whoops! I Made Another OC: An Autobiography, by me

For all my lovely moots who have expressed interest (thank u btw I love u):

He doesn't have a name yet, cuz I always struggle with coming up with names. We'll get there when we get there. But he's a slasher/serial killer originally from Georgia. He went on a killing spree there in his late 20s and fled to avoid being caught. Almost a decade later, after hopping from state to state and never staying put, he's finally settled in a Buttfuck Nowhere town in the central U.S. and resumed his killing there. He still retains a bit of a Southern accent, though it's definitely mellowed out some since he left.

His particular brand of killing involves cannibalism and some semblance of a moral code. He goes after people who think they're the big strong predators of the world who can do as they please, and he teaches them just what it feels like to be helpless prey. Literally and metaphorically.

Oh, and like I said in the tags of the OG post, his face claim is Kyle Gallner 🫀

Alright fellas, it's poll time. I'm bad at coming up with names so YOU'RE going to help me. Please be honest. I won't take offense. I just want this fucker to have a decent name lmao.
