Three in the US depending on which channel?!

I watched like 20 episodes this weekend, and the fact that it has so many different names make it so hard to find.

Thrilled to see someone carrying on the tradition of protest folk music. Keep fighting the good fight!

Anti-voting rhetoric will be the death of the left. Literally.

Not a single fucking Republican voted to protect roe. It was fucking overturned in the first place bc trump got three Supreme Court appointments.

Every fucking thing wrong in this country is almost certainly the result of Republicans being in power. In 2020, Texas cut half of the polling places in black neighborhoods, and doubled them in white ones, regardless of population. It was Republicans bitching about mail in voting, and constantly, constantly fearmonger about voter fraud. Literally, their platform is about making civil rights harder to practice.

Would you like to know why? It’s because Republican politicians know better than anyone that higher voter participation means higher republican loss.

But what do I see from the online left, champions of the oppressed?

“Voting doesn’t do anything, the parties are the same, the system is rigged, etc, etc”

Don’t sit here and tell me you give a fuck about marginalized people if you aren’t ready to march your ass to the voting booth and vote out the party actively stripping their rights away.

Protest, donate, community build, unionize, and vote, vote, vote.

Be proud of me

I, a very overweight and out of shape individual, have jogged 6.2 miles in the past week. Today I jogged 1.5 miles in 30 minutes.

I always say that I don't care much about how my body looks, but I want it to be functional. And being out of breath climbing the stairs to my apartment is not functional (for me). Not being able to take a long walk with my kids is not functional (for me).

I signed up for a 5k with my kid and I'm determined to finish it, so I've been working hard. Be proud of me.

I worked 8 hours, had a 1.5 hour commute (each way), and still went to the gym when I got home.

I am proud of me today.

Today, I jogged 2.5 miles in 49 minutes. Race day is Saturday. I think I'm ready for my first ever 5K.

It is done! I ran (jogged) 3.1 miles in 1 hour and 1 minute. I may have finished 1090 out of 1113, but

I signed up for 2 more 5ks. One in July that I'm doing by myself, and then one in September that my kids are doing with me.

I may regret this, but I hope not.

Reading her account of how their boss treated her blows me away. Men are so emboldened that they will literally admit to illegal discrimination casually and face no consequences.

In all the years of seeing this post I’ve never seen a link to her side. Didn’t even know she’d written one.
