I'm Italian. Somewhere between 20 and 35. This used to be a mostly Arrow blog but they killed off Laurel so now I couldn't care less about the show. Sometimes I'll post about Arrow and Laurel but mostly now it's just a place where I write everything that comes to mind

Okay, so I just watched the Dead Sprint episode of F.B.I: International and Forrester and Powell (hey, actor guy who appeared in an episode of Hudson and Rex once, I see you!) definitely explored each other’s bodies in the past, or at the very least they wanted to, right? I don’t care how many times they called each other ‘brother’ (I think it was four times, btw. Methinks the ‘bros’ do protest too much, no?), the homoerotic tension was off the charts.

And, yeah, I’m guessing from that scene in the van with Vo that if Powell does join the team then they’re going to make them a thing (possibly making Raines jealous in the process and leading him to realize he’s still more into Vo than he is Maya), but, come on, Forrester had more chemistry and heat with Powell in that one episode than he ever did with Kellett in almost two seasons.

Just sayin’…

I watched the episode last night and honestly yes.

There’s so much chemistry there.

Doctor Who Rankings: Moffat Era: Eleventh Doctor

It's been almost a year I think since my last ranking, but here I am, I'm determined to complete all of them before May.

Season 6

  1. The Girl Who Waited I love this episode so much, it's one of my all time favourites. I love how rough and hardened by time Amy had become after 36 years on that planet running for her life. The way the hope of being saved was so strong at the beginning and then we saw how it slowly died. She was certain the Doctor would come and then she just stopped believing. It was understandable why at first she didn't want to be saved. What young Amy tells older Amy about Rory is one of my favorite quotes in the entire show. And in the end when the Doctor closes old Amy out of the TARDIS it's heartbreaking and I admit the first time it was a shock. Then thinking about it it was obvious that it was going to happen.
  2. A Good Man Goes to War The beginning with Rory blowing up a Cyberman ship to find out were Amy is one of my favorite Rory's scenes in the whole show. The episode is full of twists and surprises and seeing how the Doctor was played was interesting. Usually he's the one that has all the answers, but not this time. And the revelation of who River Song is was well done and emotional
  3. The Impossible Astronaut / Day of the Moon First things first Mark Sheppard, I saw him as Crowley in Spn for the first time and then in Leverage and I love the guy. He makes everything he's in so much better. Plus the episode was really good. The Silence are really tricky villains, how can you protect yourself from someone you forget? I also liked the clues about Amy, her seeing Madame Kovarian. Small things that suggested that something was wrong. Also the fact that the baby they were trying to rescue was River Song.
  4. The Wedding of River Song As far as series finales goes it probably isn't the best or the most emotional and action packed. But it was good. I liked the fact that somehow Amy and Rory are connected even if they don't know who they are.
  5. Let's Kill Hitler Melody who regenerates into River Song. The Teselecta trying to kill the Doctor. River giving up her regenerations to save his life. (I admit this was a bit rushed but still). And they closed Hitler in a cupboard. What else can I say?
  6. Closing Time I'm actually sad I couldn't put it higher on the list. I know most people don't like the episode, but it's my guilty pleasure, my season 6 Boom Town. It's fun, a little predictable and I love Craig.
  7. The Rebel Flesh / The Almost People These episodes set up the whole "Amy was replaced" storyline and kick off the whole let's go save her drama, still I don't like them. The moral question they raised it's interesting which is pretty much the only thing I cared about in this episode
  8. The Doctor's Wife The TARDIS turned into a woman was fun and it was sad when she lost her human appearance.
  9. Night Terrors The dollhouse is creepy, but the kid is kind of cute and the fact that in the end the kid stayed was really sweet
  10. The Curse of the Black Spot Boring. I barely remember it. Amy as a pirate was the only relevant thing.
  11. God Complex I watched it just once, that's how much I disliked the episode

Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road

The other day I finally had the chance to watch the new special. ( I haven't watched the three with Tennant yet, but I'll catch up as soon as I can).

So I liked the episode. Ruby reminded me a lot of the first Rose, the one that travelled with Nine. She's curious, she's funny and she's young. But she carries with her the fact that she's adopted, that she can't find her birth parents but wants to, so in some ways she seems more mature than that Rose, closer to how she became with Ten until she got trapped in the parallel universe. I liked the mother and the grandmother and I hope we'll have the chance to see them again.

Fifteen reminded me of the late Eleven. The one that traveled with Clara and lost the Ponds. He had the same over enthusiastic attitude Eleven had, but he's also weighted by the trauma of the discovery of the Timeless Child. You can see ( or at least I could) that behind the enthusiasm and the funny attitude there's also a huge pit of emotion and trauma. And I love it.

Ncuti and Millie have great chemistry and I can't wait to see their adventures. I think that the fact that in some ways they are both adopted is going to be a nice bonding factor, and I'm pretty sure it's also going to play a major role in the future.

I really enjoyed the scene of Fifteen dancing in the club and the music number with Ruby. I'm not usually a fan of musical episode, but there's something in those scenes that really drew me in. Also the scene I think that scene after the Goblin left, when he can't find Ruby and then realised that they're gone back in time to eat her, is beautifully acted, both by Ncuti and the actress who plays Ruby's mom.

I'm really curious to find out more about Ruby's mother, or whoever it was that black figure that abandoned her, and I wonder if we'll see Mrs Flood again or if she was just there to break the fourth wall and to wink at the audience.

I agree with some reviews that the plot wasn't particularly complicated and the pace was off in some places, but I think it was a good way to introduce Fifteen and Ruby.

I mean NewWho started with PlasticMikey and his friends going around London and shooting people. I guess that singing goblins are a good way to start a new era.

Also I hate the Timeless Child plot line, I understand how many problems it solves from a narrative standpoint and how many possibilities it opens but I still don't like it. Still this special made me want to keep watching and see where they'll go with it and maybe Davies can convince me that it's a good plot point. So this special must have done something right for me

i miss "filler" episodes

i miss when television seasons were longer

i miss seeing character development that made their arcs make sense

i miss shows flowing at a natural pace instead of constantly being bombarded with high stakes conflicts

i miss seeing my fave characters exist in situations that aren't essential to the plot

i miss when ceos didn't cut the amount of episodes in half to maximize profit and minimize how much they have to pay to the people (actors, writers, editors, vfx, crew, hair & makeup artists, costumers and many more) who's blood sweat and tears make them rich

Me while playing Guinevere: Ow Arthur is so sweet and caring. How can I not pick him, with all the cute little gestures and soft words to make MC feel at home. (Don’t get me wrong Lancelot is sweet and caring too but Arthur is just so pure)

Me when I play ACOR: Syphax is so sweet. He’ll do everything for the MC he’s so caring. Cassius is so kind and soft and sweet with MC. Sabina is such a lovely lady. Marc Antony is a jerk a plotting b*stars and power thirsty. And he often mistreats MC. What can I do if not pick Marc Antony?

The highest point for me in the game was when after Cesar’s murder MC joined Marc Antony. Poor Cassius was heartbroken. I’m evil

So. Courtois got injured and he’ll likely miss the whole season.

We can’t hold the entire season only with Lunin, so it stands to reason we’ll get another goal keeper.

Among the crazy names that run around there’s Keylor Navas.

Now I know it won’t happen for a million of reason.

But wouldn’t it be super funny is Keylor Navas would come back to RM to replace the player that basically took his place?

One of the worst parts of current internet culture is that it makes good old fashioned complaining so difficult. I don’t wanna cancel anyone or bully anyone, I’m not trying to form a hate mob I’m not calling anyone out, i just wanna bitch about something. Because complaining is fun, good for you, even. Is that too much to ask? Where is the room for shooting the shit?

THIS. i’ve posted about this before because it really isn’t just internet culture. it goes farther than that and connects to how much censorship and book banning we’re seeing. i read a book a while back that i HATED. like, it sucked ass so bad. and i wanted to talk about that, especially because i had really like *parts* of it, and i wanted to dissect that in a complex and nuanced conversation.

but the book in question had recently been the target of a number of bans because it had queer characters in it. so how tf could i post something online that pointed out issues with this story that i hadn’t actually seen anyone complain about yet? i mean, i could i guess. but it would have felt dirty.

reactionary culture creates a society that views everything as a dichotomy of absolute good and absolute evil. with this kind of thinking, we’re only able to respond to any sort of criticism not with a nuanced discussion that allows people to let off steam or even learn something about themselves and others, but ONLY with canceling and harassing people or banning books or the like. anti-intellectualism at its most dangerous.

we should be able to complain that something just wasn’t for us and we’re irritated with it! or even that it *is* for us but we’re pissed about some element of it! shoot the shit!

we should also be able to have complex discussions about media that isn’t perfect without it getting removed from libraries. because perfection is impossible! our libraries will be empty.
