no, why do I ship Seven/Captain A? yes I know he is not a ro but my fool heart is not listening. I'm replaying the demo and loving every second.
“Cap?” Seven says. “Everythin’ alright?”
His light swings left, then right, a hazy trail of curious worry spinning around his mind. He is careful to not invade your personal space, even when his urge to get closer is almost physical.
“I’m fine, Hunter,” you say.
Seven doesn’t answer. Instead you hear rustling, then the hunter plops down on the ground. He busies himself with finding a comfortable position, before settling down. “Twelve found another poor chap to dance with,” he tells you. “Zero was close to combustion because of the attention they were getting. Saw Nine and Three taking bets on the outcome, which Eight really wasn’t happy about, so Five had been playing the mediator. I wanted to intervene, but Six told me to look at the rookie’s smile. They were all smiling pretty damn big, the lot. Even my prick of a brother.”
Seven’s voice grows quieter. “Even One.”
A silence falls between you. Seven’s thoughts twirl around the bond, the happiness slightly dimmed under the reminder of your loss. In the distance you can hear the faint beat of the festive music, sense your team’s lights sparkling in joint celebration.
Yet, here you are, hidden in shadows of one of the tunnels leading to nowhere, sitting on a too damp ground, isolated from your people. And Seven, Seven who has noticed you were gone, has followed you out and away from one of what should be the happiest times of your Homeland.
“Come on.” You push yourself up. “We should check on the others, before Twelve gets too out of control.”
Seven follows with a jump, a silly smile plastered on his face. “She’s been skulking around the drinks again. Might be plannin’ to make one of those crazy mixers of hers.”
“Eleven is keeping an eye on her, as the Council would not appreciate the repeat of the last time,” you say. “In all honesty, I’d be open to drinking it again; the flavour was quite good.”
Seven laughs, before clasping a friendly hand on your shoulder. “Cap, I really respect you and all, but your taste is weird as heck.”
I have to look up Tumblr's rules on this, but yes - in general I'm open to all kind of questions :) I might not answer all asks (have to keep something for the game).
“Excuse me.” Eleven doesn’t even bother to make it a question. His brows are pulled up, as if this is the most incredulous thing he has heard in a while.
Twelve guffaws in delight, then slaps him on the shoulder, making him stumble forward. “Something wrong loverboy? Not up to a challenge of having a thing with me?”
The hunter straightens up. “I can’t even begin to unravel everything wrong with that statement.“ He looks like he swallowed something incredibly sour.
“Oi,” Twelve objects. “We would have a blast together.”
“I can assure you I have higher standards than that. I know you. I have seen you do things.” He shakes his head. “No. Just no.”
The two continue to argue about Twelve’s potential as a potential something. Of course, there is some tension involved. Just not the romantic kind, because Eleven would rather eat his shoes than be involved with Twelve and Twelve ... Yeah, Eleven is just her buddy. A buddy she would die for, but would never ever consider anything else than a buddy.

It’s not Friday, but let’s have a belated Fun Fact Friday anyway :) So here are some random facts about her:
Twelve is not an only child.
She doesn’t like sweet food, but is a dork for salt.
While she genuinely likes all members of team Alpha, she is closest to Eleven. Despite the difference in temperaments, the two get along rather famously. And no, they didn’t have to fight to become friends.
Yeah, losing Four will be tough on all of us. I’m both glad that Four managed to touch people’s hearts and sad because he is gone. He is absolutely one of the hunters that keep the team together like a social glue. We will see how well the team will fare without him …
I am sorry for not updating stories for so long, but I have been slowly getting back to writing after a very hectic year (or two?).
I have a couple of questions and comments left to answer which I will do in the following days. But basically I just wanted to let you know that HS and RF are still being written (Raven’s Flight has been updated today) and that I plan on working on the updates for both stories when I can.
Hey kirakana! Is there any name you prefer us to call you by or is your forum name alright? Also, how did you come up with the story for HS?
Approximately ten years ago I had a really vivid dream.
In the first scene a group of people amidst the snow at the nightfall chased by shapeless monsters. There was this great fear of leading the pack to the our home, so they were all willingly acting as a bait, taunting the monsters into coming after our group. The communication between the group was entirely soundless. They were like a single person being split into different bodies.
Then one of the group gets caught by the monsters, while the rest fled away.
One life for many. All in the name of a greater good.
In the second scene, the leader of the group was arguing with a member on the council for a reasons I can’t disclose (since that would be a spoiler). Let’s just say that the leader wasn’t all too happy with how certain things were done.
In the third scene, a fight has erupted in the Homeland. Secrets were revealed, people got hurt and loyalties betrayed.
You can probably guess that the leader came to be Captain A and the member of the council Raven. The original A was a stoic, proud hunter, torn between their duty and their sense of right. Raven, however, was a lot more passive, soft-spoken and unassuming.
Team Alpha was formed next. At first they had no names nor personalities, more like dolls than humans. Twelve and Zero were the first two to get any kind of colour, because their characters made sense. The rest? I knew I had to have a team, but no idea what they were like. So I wrote a list of possible characteristics, motives and backstories, then tried to spread them evenly between the team members. I had trouble between distinguishing some of them (especially Five), but it got easier with every scene I created.
Captain B was entirely unplanned. I wanted to have a sort of uptight rival for A and B sort of wrote themselves into the story.
Chancellors Fox and Bull were present in the dream, but only as background figures. Like team Alpha they became what they are now through manual brainstorming.
The leader in my dream was plagued by their childhood friend, who you now know as Trouble.
Fun fact 1: the Homeland in my dreams was actually build inside a giant tree and the entrance to it was hidden somewhere deep under the roots.
Fun fact 2: Raven’s Flight is also a result from a dream.

One and Four, did they ever cross boundaries? Like drunk kissing, a lingering touch, holding a stare, etc.
I had to sit on this one for a while. Not so much because of Four and One, but because I needed to establish groundrules how relationships in the Society generally work.
To answer your question: One and Four haven’t kissed, because their relationship was up till now purely platonic. However, they both held a special affection for each other, so it could have developed into something more.
ok i care about everyone in this game how is this even possible like i love one he is kind of my favorite and then four, seven and eleven ilove them so much also twelve because well shes a badass ?? two and five are cuties amdkdkd five, zero n six are ok to be honest i am kind of indifferent towards them at the moment OFC i wouldn’t want them to die!!! but yeah not a lot about nine there but hes interesting?? also i can relate to ten a lil
Team Alpha earning your affection is all I could ever ask for.
And Ten is such a easy-going person. The team definitely needs someone like him, since the rest aren’t all that good at going with the flow.
