i can’t believe i actually used to be active on here
i don't believe in motivation.
i've read Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins and he mentioned something about the 40% rule.
when you think that you're doing your best and you can't push yourself no more, you're only at your 40%. the truth is, we don't usually live up to our potential because our mind is soooo inclined towards the path with the least resistance. he thought me how to have the willpower to wake up early and grind. (yup! the numbers listed in my bujo)
also, i hope you loved my froggie! i know i do :D (frogs always look like they're smiling, literally melts my heart all the time) i hope you have a good week ahead!

“I’d welcome you home, then.”
I love Wolf Children~ It’s one of my favorite movies of all-time. I cried my eyes out during the first half of the film when I watched it for the first time. Without spoiling, I resonate with the themes of the movie ridiculously much.
it has been a gloomy day and I just started studying now but no regrets. I had fun playing ML and watching a movie (identity thief!!) 💛 I’m still figuring out the best study/reading method for me this month since I have limited time. for now though, I’m leaning on reading the book since I won’t have much time when classes start to read everything 🤧 overall, it was a good day. can it be just like this in med school? can we have enough time for rest and for readings? 😭
mail today 🌷🌷🌷
Feeling very grateful for spring right about now :)
happy new year everyone! good riddance.
i’ve changed my @ from sumptuoustudy, i hope my mutuals still recognise me :/
since most of us are online due to COVID-19, I decided to make a short infographic (thanks to Canva) on how to make online learning easier. I'm on the same boat too but I made online classes into a way I can somewhat enjoy. I hope this helps for anyone who needs it!
recently i took a look at the study community on twitter and i found that there is an outrageous amount of reposting going on, from both studygram and studyblr. people on that site are taking photos from other platforms and passing them off as their own aesthetic, crediting either pinterest or no one at all.
so i urge all of you to be cautious and be vigilant of what you post on this site and what you post online in general. it’s up to you what sort of action, if any, you want to take if you find out that your photos have been reposted. i’m sure some of these study twt folks are well-intentioned, and a lot of them are much younger than many of the studyblrs i know. but reposting without credit in an attempt to pass off someone else’s hard work and space as your own is unacceptable, whether it’s notes, bullet journal spreads, or an aesthetic room. it is unfair and also deeply unnerving to find another person trying to pass off your own homework or desk as their own.
so to all studyblrs, please be careful with what you post. and if you happen to be on study twitter as well, keep an eye out for reposts, with or without credit, and reach out to those whose photos have been taken. i’m sure the creators will be very grateful to hear from you.
tagging some studyblrs and mutuals who may have a vested interest in this to spread the word and signal boost:
chilling after exam pt.2
oh my gosh this is lovely
It’s being reported that Muji uses cotton produced by Uyghur Muslims in Chinese concentration and labor camps, specifically in Xinjiang. Obviously, the atrocities being done to the Uyghur Muslims are horrific, and a company profiting off of said atrocities is disgusting.
I know Muji is wildly popular on studyblr, but I’m asking you to think about real humans being forced into labor camps. As an average citizen, we only have two ways of imposing our power: by voting and by being deliberate with our money. Do not give Muji your money.
Do not support Muji. Do not support concentration camps. Do not support the violation of civil rights. Stay aware, read the news, and be a critical consumer.

But a good alternative to Muji is Sostern Grene. It's a chain but is still a privatly ( & family! ) owned business that has a strict code of conduct for their suppliers with regards to health & safety, forced labor, child labor, environment, animal welfare & denial of factory inspections. Their code of conduct can be found here :
If anyone else has any other ethical alternatives for stationary please let me know!!!
STUDYBLRS! LET’S PHASE OUT HARMFUL BRANDS LIKE MUJI!
SHOP ETHICALLY OR LOCALLY/SMALL BUSINESS!!
Yoseka Stationary is one of my personal faves right now! I just ordered a journal from them and was sooo tempted by all the other stuff they have, ranging from classic Japanese brands to small artists. they’re based in NYC and I live on the west coast but my package got delivered pretty quickly. everything is so high quality, and they’re family-owned. check them out!
blooms and my bujo ☆ i know i haven't been posting here a lot lately but i've been really active on my instagram, if you'd like to keep up w me more frequently :D
Just had my nth conversation with someone about mask-wearing today - yet another well-intentioned moron who was like
I know it’s tiring to have people call you paranoid all the time - but you’re right and they’re wrong. Check the news, keep a safe distance from others whenever possible and keep wearing your mask!
