That he understands what she’s doing isn’t to throw away the sacrifice he made for them - for her - but because she has had everything taken away from her - including him - and not doing anything is killing her inside. She is a fighter. She always has been. And this is something that she has to fight for - her family is being threatened and torn apart and she can’t sit back and let that happen anymore. She has to fight back.

He’s done the same for her over and over.

She loves him so much, but she has to do this and she needs him to understand.

And, inevitably, he does. Because it’s what he’s always done in her place.

There is no choice to make when it comes to her and his family. They will always fight for each other and their future together.

The meh evil villain squad relates to the Cabal, according to Marc. The devil’s greatest trick was convincing people he didn’t exist, @jules85. It is from The Usual Suspects. This could multiple ways Green Arrow identity, or convincingg people Cayden James and Richard Dragon don’t exist.

The Devil is Oliver as the Green Arrow!

The Devil is really Roy Harper as the Arrow, because when it is all said and done, Roy Harper will be gone!

Its the episode with Colton Haynes coming back. Marc had mentioned that the team asks for Roy’s help. It’s a trick, how can the original Arrow, that was caught and imprisoned and died, show up again, alive, unless it was all a devil’s trick!

I speculate that they will use this opportunity to exonerate Roy Harper and clear his name, its a two episode arc, like Slade’s. Oliver’s name will be either cleared or they will shed serious doubt on the prosecution’s case and Rene’s testimony!

I am so excited to see how they play this!

Collision Course is what happens after it’s all said and done.. putting Oliver on a collision course with the real villains the case with the FBI agent and the break with the newbies was distracting him from!

Maybe even Dinah on a collision course with Vince, or Anatoly on a collision course with Cayden James.. it sets up 6x15

Remember 15 is the other season cliffhanger before a hiatus, we had no death in episode 9 so we might get one in 15.

I see something more sinister for the “Devil” in 6x13. Something we, the audience, thought true will turn out to be wrong. Cayden James is not who he says he is? Cayden James doesn’t exist? I don’t think it’s going to be Roy whose existence is in question–something we’ve taken for granted will be revealed to not exist, or not be real. The trick is not being played on the people of Star City, convincing the world the Green Arrow doesn’t exist, I think the trick will be played on us, the audience.

Subsequently, this revelation will lead to the collision course of 6x14 directly. It sets 6x14 in motion.

I don’t want to speculate further, until we see at least 6x10, but let’s look at what we have coming up:

6x10 - Divided

6x11 - We Fall

6x12 - All For Nothing

6x13 - The Devil’s Greatest Trick

6x14 - Collision Course

I think the team will be reunited by 6x12, where we know their division was “all for nothing” because they’ll be back to the place they were before 6x09: Oliver is still being investigated by the FBI, but I don’t think they’ll have Rene’s testimony anymore. I worry “all for nothing” means something happens to Zoe Ramirez, where Rene’s betrayal to get his daughter back was all for nothing.

By 6x12, we’re back to square one. The status quo.

Then, in 6x13, something we’ve taken for granted as true will be proven to be false. It might be someone’s existence, or it might be some preconceived notion the team has been operating on proves to be untrue.

6x14 will be set up in 6x13.

Also I wonder how it will all tie together with Arclight which was mentioned in 6x04, as well as him using Felicity’s digital fingerprint instead of his own. Could he be setting her up? Is everything he is doing going to come back on Felicity?

After “Collision Course” we’re going to have the 15th episode, what I like to call the “Dark Night of the Soul” episode, because terrible shit always goes down.

@jules85 that particular Cayden James action of getting to steal the data he wanted but being Felicity’s prints left behind for the authorities to find is what made me become invested in Cayden James as villain. He’s smart, he plots things in a way others will be the ones “doing the deed” while he goes close behind and steals want he wants without leaving a trace. That’s clever, machiavelic, and it will lead to Felicity being in a very hard spot later on.

@eilowyn1 , @almondblossomme and @dmichellewrites I loved The Usual Suspects; I also recall that last Season Showrunners told us that to create Prometheus they got inspiration also from Keyser Soze. Now I do not believe Adrian is alive (the guy blew his brains out on screen) but I did find strange that the reason Cayden James is after Oliver is so similar to Adrian’s reasons last Season; I suspect the writers did this on purpose, there’s a secret thread lurking on the background and it probably involves Cayden.

As for Roy, I’m glad he’s back, I’m also happy we probably will have Theroy back on our screens, but a bit concern that Theroy could go be happy outside our screens as I find Oliver needs Thea.

I admit I didn’t quite follow @almondblossomme theory about Roy being the Devil in this case (sometimes the language is a barrier) but I think I did get the jist of it so I will venture a comment about the theory.

Green Arrow Roy in truth never existed, Roy never was GA except when he got arrested in the Arrow suit, so Roy’s GA is a bit like Kaiser Soze and we all know that, and that’s where the wow factor is lost. That title seems to indicate we will have something really WOW and unexpected in the episode, Roy will not be there enough to have a long run and, with a title like that, I do think whatever we get to know in this episode will resonate through the Season.

As for the Conflits. @almondblossomme I’m hipped by your theory. I really want all those Conflicts to happen, and yes that will be the perfect timing for a death and possibly another dreaded nightmare that 6x15 will make even more dreaded in a very Arrow style.

And to be honest, as much as the Arrow style pains me, I’m looking forward to it. A proof I’m going Nuts but, who cares it’s Arrow, Olicity is happily married and everything is sunshine on my Holidays after 6 years...

When Hearts Collide

Felicity and Oliver find more than they were looking for when they do last minute holiday shopping.

This is a birthday present for @marytagus, I so hope she likes!

No beta so all mistakes are mine. I’m not Jewish so please excuse any mistakes. Also available on AO3.

Felicity Smoak loved computers, she could spend hours tinkering, building them or hours using them to find things. Computers brought her happy. She was so happy to have a job in the Queen Consolidated IT department where someone paid her to do what she loved.

What didn’t bring her happy was shopping. Which is what led to her having to shop on the busiest weekend of the year. This year Hanukkah landed near the same weekend as Christmas and while she celebrated Hanukkah many of her friends celebrated Christmas, so that meant lots of presents.

Before Felicity headed out to the shops she checked the weather and saw snow in the forecast. Oh well, she could wear her cute hats and boots! She psyched herself up, she could do this and maybe in record time!

Oliver Queen was a planner. Many people didn’t know that about him. He hid it well. He had planned, several times to get his Christmas shopping done, it just never worked out. So here he was on the last weekend before Christmas heading out to brave the crowds. Oh well, at least it wasn’t Christmas Eve.

He knew what he wanted to get everyone, except his baby sister Thea. He knew Thea’s gift had to be special. He could see she had had a rough year. Being a teenage girl seemed to be very difficult.

Oliver grabbed his coat and prepared to face the snow and the crowds.
