Waste Land
The robotic tutle sat quitely. His finger ran across the the round patch of material that stuck to his metal chest. Every memory of her rushing into his mechanical mind like a surge of energy being downloaded. Images of her laughing, smiling, even saying. "I love you Donatello. I guess I always have." Just before she leaned in to kiss him. "I love you too April." Try as he may...he couldn't even cry for her. He clenched his metal hands into fists and thrust them to the ground on either side of where he sat. In the distance he could his brothers catching up on time past. He watched on as they enjoyed the oasis. Chompy and Mikey splashing the water into the air and the drops falling like crystals around them. "Somehow I'll feel life again!" He declared to himself. Something pulled on his metal arm he looked over to find the young girl that led them here. Her face seemed filled with questions. The day was closing and he knew they would all need to find shelter soon.
