When I first saw this was uploaded, I watched it 28 times, and proceeded curl up into a ball on my bed, and was unable to breathe regularly. In Hamilton, we never got the chance to hear “OAK” sing. Its been a rare occasion to hear his melodic voice SING. His ability to seamlessly blend two beautiful songs from a show he HAS done and a show he WILL do in his own heavily-stylized way takes my breath away. The amount of talent shown in this one video astounds me, and he in general makes my heart beat just a bit faster. What did we do as fans to deserve him?!

Sick Remedies (Reader x Thomas)

Hey! It’s been a while and I’m sorry about that, but have a sick fic!

Your name: submit What is this? // <![CDATA[ function replaceAll(find, replace, str) { return str.replace(new RegExp(find, 'g'), replace); } function myHandler() { var input = document.getElementById("inputTxt").value; document.body.innerHTML = replaceAll('Y/N', document.getElementById("inputTxt").value, document.body.innerHTML); } // ]]>

Your voice was gone. You had been coughing up a lung for what felt like the majority of the night and honestly you wanted to curl into a ball and disappear until you were no longer sick. But that was impossible and you would never be able to simply disappear, otherwise your boyfriend would likely worry himself to death looking for you and possibly get sick himself because of it.

Thomas Jefferson had a way of doing things like that. He liked to pretend he didn’t care at times when in reality he cared all too much. You worried about him more than he worried about you usually because he could be a bit much for others at times.

“Y/N?”

And there he was.

“I’m here,” you barely managed to say, your voice scratchy and hardly audible because of the scratchiness of it. You were surprised he even heard you as he sat down on the bed near you and rubbed a hand over your back.

“How are you feeling?” he asked you. You glared at him almost, but it lost it’s power when you broke into a coughing fit. You felt like shit, and you doubted you needed to tell him that. Thomas’ eyes grew soft as you glared at him and you looked away, feeling your cheeks heat up just from his expression alone.

When he wasn’t being loud and annoying, Thomas could be kind of… adorable. In a puppy sort of way.

“Do you need any medicine? James was telling me that sometimes cough syrup doesn’t really do anything,” he offered.

“I’ll be fine,” you sighed, though your voice cracked on the middle word and it didn’t really come out at all. Thomas didn’t seem to agree entirely, but there was nothing he could do with you when you got stubborn, and he didn’t want to push his luck while you were sick.

“Fine,” he shrugged. He pushed you over in the bed and then climbed in right behind you, pressing himself against you almost.

“T-Thomas?” you stuttered, surprised at his sudden movements. He never usually did things like this, so it was very strange to have Thomas cuddled up to you. “You’re gonna get sick.”

“I won’t,” he responded, his arms around you and keeping you held close to him. Thomas pressed his face into your hair.

“Thomas…” you felt so warm against him. Not in the uncomfortable, feverish, way but in something of a “cold winter night fixed with a warm blanket” way. You found yourself drifting towards sleep.

“Good night, Y/N.” Thomas’ voice was so soothing… “You’ll feel better in the morning.”

And when Thomas said that, you truly believed it.

For Anon;

You honestly couldn’t believe that the Thomas Jefferson could go from so composed and together to an angry man-child that seemed to not get his way the moment Alexander Hamilton showed up. And really, you shouldn’t be surprised.

You had heard about Hamilton, how he seemed to take the political world by storm with radical new ideas and plans. Your Uncle George had talked about him many times, his tone exasperated and fond all at once.

Right now, however, you could hardly see the appeal of one Alexander Hamilton when he was being restrained by security.

“Honestly, are the two of you children?” you asked, completely unamused.

“(Y/N), he started all of this, how could you blame me!” Jefferson was so offended; he’d had to be restrained as well.

“With all due respect, I didn’t intend for this to happen,” Hamilton apologized, “Truly, I’m sorry.”

“You’re definitely sorry alright...” You mumbled, but there was something intriguing about him that you couldn’t place. After all, if he could break even Thomas Jefferson’s composure, he surely must have been something.

“No, trust me when I say the Palace of Versailles really isn’t all that grand,” Lafayatte laughed, even as you pushed his shoulder in disagreement.

“Not all of us get to see palaces all the time,” you snorted. The two of you were nestled in the little alcove in one of forgotten rooms in the library. Few people were there and they mostly had on headphones and had earbuds in, so the two of you could talk normally.

“Well I could take you if you like.” The genuine smile on his face reminded you of how handsome he was, the light of the setting sun giving him a seeming halo.

“Maybe we should start with dinner first?” You half-joked, but judging by the way Lafayette’s eyes went wide with surprise, you weren’t entirely sure if you shouldn’t have said anything at all.

“You mean that?” The sudden question sent the atmosphere between you two shifted, and your heart hammered in your chest a bit as you worked up a reply.

“Yeah. I do.”

For Anon;

You could remember the day you met John Laurens like it was yesterday, even though it had been three years already. You could hardly believe that the two of you had come together through a civil rights movement and had been together since. Especially considering how conservative your family was.

“Yeah, I did get kicked out, like, right after the rally,” you laughed when your friend asked. You were telling them the story of how you and John met.

“But I’ve never regretted a moment of it.” You looked towards where John was recounting a tale of young heroism to a group of younger folks--people new to the cause you and John were apart of. He was so animated and alive; you were so very glad to be with him.

“Yeah. I think it was one of the best days of my life, even.”

Hi! I wanted to ask, do you write character x character too, or just character x reader? 🙃

I’ll be honest, I’ve never done any character x character here, but I do write them. Though, this is a reader imagine blog so my primary focus is reader related things.

Clearing out a bit of dust...

...In an effort to revive this blog a bit, I’d like you all to help me out a little!! I wanna do something different and I wanna write too; so, send me an AU, any AU at all, along with a character or two and I’ll write an image for it! No one is obligated and I won’t force anyone at all, but I really want to come back and write more, especially since I’ve been neglecting this place.

Cheers, loves.

So I took all of the songs from “Hamilton” that start like the beginning and…

I didn’t understand nothing till I heard… EVERYONE GIVE IT UP FOR AMERICA’S FAVORITE FIGHTING FRENCHMAAAAAN

This is what my brain sounds like

The part where it goes “sit down John you fat mother-” is when I lost it.

I just keep hearing “LADIES!” “LAFAYETTE!” and various insults to John Adams.

oh my god why would you even think to do this

On the Hamilton Mixtape

The Hamilton Mixtape is, in my opinion, done very well. I have a few criticisms about some of the songs, but that’s simply because I’ve listened to most of the artists all my life and there are some things a couple of them could have done better.

But, my biases aside, it was pretty good. What did you guys think?

I have quite mixed feelings about the mixtape. I absolutely love some of the songs on it but I also don’t particularly like others. I think that’s just my personal musical taste though. At the same time, I think some of my disappointment comes from the fact that the fandom (myself included) were hyping it up so much and that so many of the best songs were released early, hyping it up even more. The most important part is that you can feel the love in this. Although some of it may have been a slight disappointment to me, I don’t think it was a cash grab and I think that Lin and all the artists working in it honestly loved and cared for the music. That is the most important thing about the Hamilton Mixtape, the time, care and attention poured into it.

I think that's the greatest thing to take away from it; the fact that the artists did their bests and put so much of themselves into this mixtape. I'm glad we're lucky enough to have and Lin put it together with so many unique musical talents
