Zacharias quickly realised he was still holding onto Ana, shaking his hand free flustered and red face, the boy slowed his walking to a more comfortable rate. “I’m fine!” The Hufflepuff exhaled, however kept his wand equipped while constantly looking over his shoulder paranoid, “. . you handled yourself pretty well back there . . .” He seemed embarrassed by the whole fiasco, especially dragging someone he barely knew into the mix. The two were approaching closer to Hogwarts, where Summoner's Court was usually played, Zacharias laughed at the losers who played that game on the regular - he never thought he would be so happy to see the stage within the darkness.

The Ravenclaw took her hand back once it was let go, placing it in her robe pocket. She knew that they should be safe closer to the school, so she didn't keep looking behind them anymore. "Thanks, you didn't do too bad yourself, but I think if I wasn't in the duelling club, I wouldn't have been as good." She said modestly with a shrug. It had helped her being part of the club, but she would always practice any chance she could, even making time to do so. "Do you think you need to see the nurse? We'd have to tell someone about it so no other students get attacked... maybe they'd implement a buddy system or something."

“Oh boy, definitely the trouble we have caused for my cousin -- Jordan just needs some help lightening up sometimes . . . you know how he is, maybe an April Fools joke could help!”

"Yeah, it was fun causing trouble for him. An April fools joke on him does sound tempting but I wouldn't want to cause any issues for you, I know how it can be to have a very serious family member who's always got a temper."

Zacharias was slightly red in the face and panting as he crawled into Ana’s direction. His robes were mudded and green from what looked like a narrow escape from danger, wild eyes were glad to have found another student, only shouting could be heard closing in the distance. “Bloody goblins -- you got to help me!” Begged the boy, moving to stand and ready his wand, three creatures seemed to be wielding ancient looking weapons directly pointing at the pair. The time for negotiations were long gone, the goblins wanted Zacharias. 

“Levioso!”

Ana knew that goblins were around but they'd never targeted a student like this before. Maybe he had seen something he wasn't supposed to ir he had taken something of theirs. Regardless, they were both in danger and had to get back to Hogwarts. "We have to get away from here..." She said as he joined her, readying her wand as she heard movement. The Ravenclaw cast Stupify at the goblins, trying to avoid their spell.

With their combined spellcraft, Zacharias was sure the two could pull this off, all he needed now was a little faith in himself. Unlike Ana who had some persitition to her casts, Zach was more frantic and aggressive sending Diffindo and Confringo in the direction of the goblins. Spotting an opportunity to run after two of the three attackers fell defeated, Zacharias grabbed Ana’s hand and immidedetly sped off into the distance.

Ana knew that the goblins might be more experienced and didn't care if they hurt her or Zacharias. She was about to cast a defensive spell but was distracted when she was pulled away and began to run with the other student. "We should report this to someone... not the head master... I doubt he would care." She said through breaths as she checked back, putting her wand away, the dueling club had paid off. "Are you OK?" She asked, slowing down to a walk.

The smug look that quickly wiped from Zacharias’ face was astronomical. His expression was completely dumbfounded by just how easily he was disarmed by the other, so much so that he had to pick up his jaw from the floor. Taking back his wand almost suspiciously, Zacharias took a long pause before deciding to finally speak. “Again,” the Hufflepuff demanded wanting to win back some dignity, “you can count this time -- please.” Seemingly Zacharias remembered some of his manners, hopefully nobody was watching their duel or he would never live this down.

Ana held back a smile, knowing that it would make her look foolish if he won the next two rounds. It was always satisfying beating someone who needed it. That usually taught them not to mess with people, for a few days anyway. "If you insist... you ready?" She asked as she got back into position, ready to go if he tried to cast the spell early on the countdown. She wasn't trusting of people, especially when they had their ego and pride to defend. She waited until he was ready to countdown, sending the spell at him again.

Flying high into the air Zacharias’ wand was easily disarmed and handed over to his opponent. The Hufflepuff wasn’t impressed or anything, he atleast knew she was confident with spellcraft, perhaps a worthy opodent if they finally got to duelling. “My turn,” he pipped up, walking over to where she stood to retrieve his wand. Once ready he again resumed the same duelling stance pointing his wand directly towards Ana. “Expelliarmus!” Shouted Zacharias flourishing his wand.

Ana watched the wand, catching it as it got close enough. She glanced to her brother who seemed quite bored but was participating. They both knew more advanced spells for their age but they knew some extra practice and a place to learn safely wouldn't harm them. She handed him his wand back, before easing the grip on her own. Her wand flew out of her hand when he cast the spell, watching it as she went through the air. "Seems like we're both competent."

“Hm,” replied the young man, “too easy,” he added, walking over to hand back her wand thinking as he did so, “how about a game? Who can disarm their oppodent the quickest - no dodging?” A small grin played on the Hufflepuff’s lips, Zacharias was quite competitive, he was a part of his house quidditch team and hated losing. “Best of three?” Zacharias asked, resuming his previous spot ready at the stance.

Ana met him halfway, thanking him for returning her wand before returning to her spot. She contemplated the challenge, shrugging slightly. "Sure, why not." The Ravenclaw spoke, "Just randomly or should I count down to it?" She spoke, though given how he was so far, she didn't think he would stick to the timers and just go for it.

Counting down was good, at least then they would have an equal chance. Zacharias was already sure that Ana was not one to be messed around with, her brother had a reputation after all, he could hardly ignore the rumours. “I’ll count down,” Zacharias countered, wating some sort of control, “one!” His wand pointed square in her direction, arm straight and unmoving, “two!” The Hufflepuff focused on his stance, ready to help project the spell first and show that he was not one to be messed with - that would certainly impress everyone. ‘THREE!”

Ana wasn't going to show off or try hard to beat Zacharias, she just saw it as something to pass tome and finalise their skills. She knew that most students, if not all knew about her brother and how prone he was to get into trouble. It was from him mostly defending other students that caused the issues. It was rare she caused any trouble though, not really bothered by what people were saying about her. As Zacharias got to three, she quickly cast Expelliarmus, disarming the Hufflepuff in front of her. She caught his wand as it went towards her before handing it out to him.
