In just over a month I’ve posted eight works to my AO3. I’ve been posting responses to prompts on here, at some points, daily. I’ve written almost 50,000 words for you guys to read (my AO3 + prompt word count).

What you don’t see is that I’m nearly always writing. I write on my phone, on my laptop and in notebooks during my lectures when I’m supposed to be paying attention. Also what you don’t see is that I have a life outside of writing fanfiction too and sometimes, like the past couple of days, that has to come first.

Writing fanfiction is a hobby of mine. I don’t get paid for this, but I continue to do it because it’s fun and I enjoy the response and support that I get. But even so I don’t owe anyone anything. If I don’t want to update a story then I won’t, if I don’t want to post a prompt then I won’t. That doesn’t make me lazy in the slightest.

There’s no such thing as a lazy fanfiction writer. We’re taking time out of our (often) busy lives to write something that other people can enjoy for free. We spend hours upon hours writing and plotting and coming up with theories and hcs and that’s not lazy. Again, we’re not paid for this.  We’re doing it because we want to.

What he did was so disrespectful and he knew what he was doing. He didn’t just go there to investigate the paranormal: he knew what he would find. And to film it, edit it and upload it and think that it’s okay just because he blurred out the face?? That’s sick.
