not too much trouble in the slightest!! the image itself is a rip from a pokemon game but the method i used to get it into my theme was one i just sort of threw together without a lot of thought,, if youre looking to put one in yourself, there are lots of themes with spoon meters here which are pretty easy to adjust but if you like your current theme ive used two seperate methods to get a custom hp bar in !!

the first one is the simpler one but if you update your tumblr description from mobile or from the "edit appearance” page instead of the full theme editing page itll get deleted

this is how mine is set up, and i keep all the hp bar images on my hp explanation page and just grab the image links from there when i need to change it

the second method is a bit more complicated but youre at less risk of accidentally deleting the bar entirely! if youd like to know the second method feel free to ask, if you know enough about coding or are just very determined it shouldnt be too hard but if youre not used to altering anything but the colours on themes id recommend just using the first one for your own sake

ive only used the second method once and it was because the theme wouldnt look right if i didnt and i had already made it more complicated than necessary so i figured id just let it get more ridiculous... its certainly not completely baffling but it is kind of an overcomplication just for the sake of aesthetic
