I’m thinking about making a manga, an Italian manga. So i practiced inking some goblinoids. I’ve inked this traditionally and added shades and screen tones digitally.
Sorry for the long-ish post orz ——————————————————————– I first started working on Halfsoul when I was in the hospital. I’ve had (and still have) struggles with mental health for more than half my life, but I was so high functioning that the doctor kept questioning: “where was the trauma? Your art is the art of someone who was abused. Where is the trauma?” The trauma learned to be invisible after 12 years of denial from the people around me. Questions about what was acceptable anger, about aggression and the hopelessness tied to it floated in my mind. It had no where to go but to the pen on the paper because I had no answer. I could only search.
What does it mean to lose a part of yourself? Can you ever get it back? If there’s any resemblance of an answer, I’m trying to find it with Halfsoul
