2/nov - finally i have things to post !!! ive been so busy moving from joint to single hons philosophy so havent actually had much time to study. but woo here are some notes from ethics from my essay prep 💐

i got a 40% on my chemistry exam.

I’m just sharing because we all have failures. In the studyblr community we focus on the good, but there is bad too and sometimes it is hard and there is a lot of struggle in school and it’s not all cutsie photos. There’s late nights and lots of tears and frustration and exhaustion. And I just wanted to say even if you don’t see others on here struggling, we all do sometimes and you’re not alone. School is hard and I applaud you all for your effort through all of the accomplishments AND struggles.

what an uplifting post, especially because it sprang from an unfortunate situation.

i’d like to share some of my experience, too: i once got two D’s in my classes one semester and had to switch majors because of my performance. but guess what? i still graduated and have a degree and i did that. i got that, despite the failures i endured along the way. and when i look back on everything i’ve done, it’s amazing to see how everything worked out.

so if you’re feeling down, or like a failure because you’re not doing as well as the next person, please don’t feel that way for too much longer. there is time, and there is opportunity. yes, you’re going to have to go through those tough nights, those grueling exams and papers, all while trying to fit in and make yourself “well-rounded.” there are going to be days where the only thing you’re going to have to run on is discipline because motivation is just not cutting it. there are going to be times where you just don’t see the end in sight but it’s there - it’s so there.

so give yourself some credit, no matter how hard you fall. learn and keep going.

such good motivation & perfect timing considering i have such a low grade in ap compsci after receiving an F on a test!! but instead of viewing that as "i should stop trying i suck anyways", im trying to direct that regret of not studying for the previous exam to study super hard for my midterm tmrw!! even if you fail, keep trying b/c there's always a difference between falling & failing! a low grade on one exam, paper or assignment doesnt mean you're going to fail the class or in life or whatever!! it just means that maybe you simply fell this time, & now you just need to get up & try harder! there's room for more improvement, so strive to be the best version of yourself♡ (i dont really post long text often but i really wanted to write this up bc i really need this motivation right now & im hoping it helps someone out there too!! thank you to the person who originally posted this b/c i needed that extra boost of motivation♡♡)
