people on here, especially minors, need to be very careful when looking for caregivers !

trying to match-make with random people online can be very dangerous, especially when you're a kid ! the sheer amount of little & cg match-making posts i've been seeing lately has been making my nerves go haywire.

please be safe out there ! you are important ! i know it can feel really lonely to regress and not have someone there to take care of you, but having a caregiver that takes advantage of you/abuses you would be so, so much worse.

i feel like the safest way to get a caregiver is to have it be someone that you already know and trust. get to know people in the community, try to foster a true friendship before proposing that kind of relationship, you know? which is easier said than done, i know, but i believe in you ! it can and will take time, but you are worth it !

Keeping your stuffie friends clean, healthy and happy is super important, but can be very intimidating if you don't know how. A lot of people are afraid of messing up their beloved friends. Hopefully this post can help!

៚ ⋯⋯⋯ ˁᱸᲲᱸˀ ⋯⋯⋯⋯ ༄

These are super cheap and easy to find at basically any store. They won't pull out your friends fur or hair, but they are great for removing loose dirt and dust. We recommend going over your stuffie friends with a lint roller at least once a week or after any trip out (especially during pollen season!) Make sure to get under their arms and behind their ears!

Scented ones work too, but we prefer unscented because of our sensitive skin. These are great for giving your stuffie friends a proper cleaning. We usually use 4-5 wipes for a standard 16 inch BAB plushie. Your stuffie should be damp after being thoroughly wiped down. We like to gently rub in circles all over their plush. After they've been cleaned make sure to use a towel to dry them. Most stuffies will be dry in just a few minutes! We recommend wiping your stuffie at least once a month, more often if they are going out on adventures or spending time around food and drinks!

These brushes are perfect for most stuffie friends, especially Build a Bears and other stuffies with straight fibers for fur/hair. They separate fibers and detangle easily. We like to brush against the direction the plush lays (against the grain) and then with the direction it lays (with the grain). Don't press too hard when using them. If you notice the brush is full of your stuffie friends fur/hair after brushing, stop using and refer to tip 4. These brushes can be found online and in most pet stores and sections.

For stuffies with curly, textured, or older fur/hair, a detangler is the best option for brushing them (they're also great for human hair too!). See how the tines are different lengths? This helps detangle, but they're also soft plastic so they won't pull fur/hair out while brushing. If they snag on a knot the tines will bend and the knot will slip off without damaging or ripping anything out. We have a bear with loopy fibers mixed into his plush. A detangler keeps him soft and clean without damaging him at all. These brushes can be found online and in the human hair-care section of most stores that carry brushes.

Whether you use a slicker or a detangler, giving your stuffie friends a good brushing at least once a month (and after baths!) will help keep them soft, clean and happy!

Just FYI for everyone out there: if you love juiceboxes but hate the environmental impact/price, there’s a brand called Drink in the Box that you can find online. It’s a reusable juice box. Some places even have special ones liiiiiiiike…

I love love love all my fellow regressors who enjoy nontraditional media when regressed. Be it something meant for adults or just something not seen as the "usual" for a regressor to watch, I think it’s wonderful.

I just think more regressors need to get silly with it. I think too many of us take our regression a little too seriously all the time, myself included. We talk about how regression doesn't have to be aesthetic all the time and this includes being a little weird when regressed.

Just get silly, what this means is up to you.

i hope you remember it’s very human and normal to crave affection, human interaction, attention and love. you’re not “too needy” or “too sensitive” for wanting to have your emotional and social needs met accordingly.
