one thing i kinda love about the homestuck fandom is we have this one character, Calliope, who’s a dark green sharp-toothed skeleton-looking alien of a species that is clearly meant to be violent by nature(even as a gentle youth callie does have her moments). and throughout the series, she often refuses to show herself in true form because she thinks she’s too hideous or scary for anyone to be comfortable, and even if they were fine with it, she certainly wouldn’t be. and so many fans draw her, as she is, and call her lovely and beautiful and adorable and all these other wonderful things. we love her. we think she’s gorgeous, sunken in eyes and claws and all. i love that.
