Chapter 1: Fruit
There is a price on your head. Lemon and Tangerine are hired to protect you from those aiming to claim it. There’s tension between you and Tangerine right away and he’s not quite sure what to make of you.
Chapter 2:The Blackjacks
After you agree to go with them to their employer, Tangerine and Lemon bring you to your safe house to pick up your things before going on the road. Of course, things are never that easy in their line of work.
Chapter 3: En route
During the drive to their employer’s safe house, you and Tangerine have a chance to talk. But the road is as long as it is treacherous.
Chapter 4: The Sunrise Hotel
You finally reach your destination: The Sunrise Hotel. Despite reaching the supposed place of luxury and safety, tensions are still running high and Tangerine’s arm still needs stitches. Lemon heads out to get some food for the three of you, leaving you and Tangerine alone.
Chapter 5: Closer
During your first full day at the Sunrise Hotel, you and The Twins discuss a plan of action, go to dinner in an eerily quiet restaurant and Tangerine shows you how to properly hold a gun.

first of all thank you! <3 and also, oooh it's been a minute since i've been asked for recs and i am happy to provide some of my faves! i mainly read cake these days so these are mostly going to be cake, but there's some other stuff sprinkled in too.

You couldn’t find anyone anywhere, you had no idea where she went so you were just aimlessly wondering around the tower.
Making your way into the common room, you looked around and climbed onto the couch.
“Child.”
You looked up and sat down, staring up at the man in front of you.
“Hi.” You smiled.
He set his book down and shuffled around so he could face you properly.
“What is your name?” He asked.
“I’m (Y/N)!”
“Well, it’s a pleasure. I’m loki.”
You nodded and looked to the TV before going to search for the remote.
You found it on the other side of Loki, climbing over him, you grabbed it and sat right next to him as you turned the TV on.
Loki looked down at you before looking around.
“Where are your parents?” He asked.
You shrugged slightly.
“Dunno, the avengers look after me.”
Loki nodded his head.
“I see. Well, I must be going to a meeting now.”
Loki stood up and started walking, but he didn’t want to leave you on your own.
So he walked back over and crouched in front of you.
“Perhaps you would like to accompany me? Everyone else shall be attending.”
“J, can I come?” You asked.
“Yes, They have requested you to go.”
You nodded and stood up, holding your arms up to loki who looked at you in confusion.
“Carry me?”
“Oh. I suppose.”
Loki swooped your little form into his arms and stared to carry you down the hallways.
You were tired, so you rested your head on his chest and you could hear his heartbeat.
It was slow, but steady, beating in a gentle rhythm and without thinking you started to fall asleep.
Loki walked into the meeting and looked around, and as soon as pepper and Tony spotted you in his arms they immediately stood up.
“What do you think you’re doing with her?” Tony snapped.
He rushed over and took you away from Loki, and handed you to Pepper.
“She requested to be carried here. Why are you leaving a young child to wonder around lone?” Loki resorted.
“Because she was supposed to be asleep.” Pepper sighed.
She walked to the edge of the table and sat down in a chair, resting you against her as you slept soundly.
Loki sat down and didn’t bother listening to the meeting.
It had nothing to do with him, he only had to go so that he would’ve be alone for the however many hours they were in the meeting.
You woke up roughly an hour into the meeting, and climbed from peppers lap into Tony’s lap, and started messing about with the papers in front of him.
“Stark, the child.” Fury sighed.
“Sorry, but she’s a kid. It’s what they do.” Tony smirked.
You got up, and climbed down from Tony, wondering around the room while they carried on with the meeting.
“(Y/N), what’re you up too?” Natasha chuckled.
You stopped climbing up the back of her chair and grinned brightly.
“I’m exploring.”
The others chuckled and fury walked over, swooping you from the back of the chair and held you in his arms as he walked back to the front of the room.
You couldn’t help but laugh as he tried to hold your squirming form still.
Everyone carried on laughing and finally he had enough.
“Loki take her for something to eat.” Fury sighed.
“Absolutely not. He’s not being left alone with her.”
Tony stood up and so did pepper.
“It’s okay! J can keep an eye on us! Right J?” You beamed.
“Of course.”
They shared a look before nodding, neither could leave the meeting.
Loki walked over and took your hand, taking you back to the kitchen to make you a snack.
When you were done you watched TV again while he stood by the window, looking out.
Seeing this, you walked over and stood next to him.
You liked having Loki nearby, he was different from everyone else and you liked that.
Every day you would find Loki whenever you wanted to sleep, and that was something they all noticed.
You struggled sleeping, and it was late when you came wondering into the common room.
“What’s wrong sweetheart?” Pepper asked softly.
“Nightmare…” you mumbled.
She knelt down and hugged you while Tony made you something to drink and brought it over.
You took a few sips from the cup and looked around.
“He’ll be back soon.” Tony whispered.
You nodded your head and climbed into Tony’s lap.
You sat there quietly while they all continued to talk.
You watched as your mom walked away and she came back a few moments later with Loki.
Tony stood up, holding you in his arms as he explained to Loki you were struggling to sleep.
“I see. I’ll try my best.”
“Thank you.” Pepper smiled.
Loki picked you up and held you closely as he made you over to the window to look over the city.
You laid there, staring out with him and listening to his heart.
“You won’t let me go right?” You asked quietly.
“Of course not. I shall carry you all night.”
You nodded and slipped into sleep once more

Why did he ever let Nat talk him into this? It was bad enough when she signed it up for regular dates but this? All the stress, anxiety and awkward small talk of a blind date tenfold. It was all the same conversations for eight minutes until the bell went and he was moved onto the next person to start over. There were the ones that were trying too hard to get them to like him and then there were the ones who showed next to no interest at all. Bucky felt like a real fish out of water here. The only reason he hadn’t bailed yet was because Nat promised him if he went through with this, she would never try to set him up again. Bucky knew that only meant she would remain dormant for a few weeks, perhaps moving on to pick on one of the other single people in the tower before making her way back around to him.
