Sorry to bring this up but I wish a certain writer at Bethesda would retire from the company or at least stop pointlessly trying to create terrible new lore via social media that retroactively ruins characters
Ok for people who want context here it is:
Emil Pagliarulo is/was a head writer at Bethesda. He's sorta been promoted out of writing but still has massive power and input into the lore. He posted on Twitter recently that Nate (the male protagonist in Fallout 4) was part of the squad depicted killing civilians in the Start of Fallout 1.
Everyone started justifiably shitting on Emil and he quickly tried to walk it back.
Emil openly stated in an interview for Fallout 4 that he doesn't try to write good storylines because he thinks they get in the way of the game.
He doesn't think players care about the story.
He tries to write the quests so they can be easily rushed/skipped.
He's basically saying the story doesn't matter.
I'm finally a lot more settled in my schedule and have more freetime and some spending money again.

It's that time again!
The World's Faire Carnival is just around the corner and Leon and Cay (@mekandawn) will be back to peddle all kinds of fancy wares! And also Leon will challenge people to eat a shoe faster than he can again! It's definitely not a curse for him or for you!
This year's wares include an assortment of cool stuff influenced by, or best used in, Gilneas! Turns out that your homeland finally being both safe to inhabit and more or less clear of insurgents gets a guy feeling really nostalgic, and Leon is far from immune to this phenomenon. Prepare to get DAPPER! And also kind of gloomy. Gloomy and dapper. Very Gilnean, really.
There's new plushies, new books, new belts, new hats, dangerous drinkware, a really nice box, and lots of returning favorites!
And did I mention there's a shoe-eating contest?
That part's important.

(Silliness aside, WFC is a really cool event that's intended to foster community, make our own fun in-game, and raise money for charity. If you've never attended, give it a shot! I recommend getting the Listener addon to make keeping track of all the chatter easier!)
New to the faire and to the Catty Crow listing as a whole: FOOD! Leon was a chef before he got into leatherworking full time, and he's sold a couple snacks here and there since... so heck with it, he's brought those back and a couple new treats to offer!

I'm once again working in retail at the fought for minimum wage when I have 15+ years of experience doing exactly what I'm doing (5 of those years being management) so I'm still struggling to pay the basics of living and don't have insurance.

Writer friends, tell me how many WIPs and how many UFOs you have. I have 2 WIPs and [redacted] UFOs (jk it’s around 16 across my three main fandoms)
going one step further... another yarn craft term that writers should put into use is frogging. If you don’t like the project, but the yarn is good, you can frog it (take it apart) and reuse it for another project.
I think a lot of writers don’t give themselves credit for how many of their ufos have actually been frogged, ie that particular project has been abandoned, but the concept, characters, or setting has been taken and reused on a new project.
Almost all of my abandoned fanfics have been frogged. You’ll find the pieces of them in my original work
my favourite thing about frogging and why it’s called that is because you… rip it rip it (ribbit ribbit)
But! yes! I wholeheartedly concur. I keep “line graveyards” for works that I keep frogging and they wind up being so useful later.
