american fascism is becoming increasingly reliant on this narrative of helplessness and feigning weakness. shooting a black man fatally, going on tv and crying about it being an accident, and flying a flag asking for people to pity and support your organization while you are pepper balling protestors in the street. i think it’s meant to reverse the narrative of “injustice” back onto the protest movement itself, because the summer protests proved that a huge amount of people will stand up to perceived injustice. here it seems like the police are trying to frame themselves as the victims of a “mob” that is “overreacting to a mistake”. obviously if you’re following my blog on tumblr you’re not going to fall for this shit but it’s truly heinous and it needs to be pointed out

“This year saw at least 350 transgender people worldwide, murdered as a result of transphobic violence - a 6% increase on 2019’s reported murders. 

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) and the last day of Transgender Awareness Week, a day dedicated to our trans siblings who’s time has been cut short because of the prejudice of others. 

Here's what the data collected by Transrespect Versus Transphobia shows us…

350 trans and gender-diverse people were murdered, 6% more than in the TMM update 2019.

98% of those murdered globally were trans women or trans feminine people.

62% of murdered trans people whose occupation is known were sex workers.

People of colour make up 79% of the 28 trans people murdered in the USA.

11 trans people murdered in Europe; 50% were migrants.

82% of all the murders registered happened in Central and South America; 43% in Brazil.

38% of the murders took place on the street and 22% in their own residence.

The average age of those murdered is 31 years old; the youngest being 15 years old.

As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as growing racism and police brutality, the lives of trans and gender-diverse people are at even greater risk. Data is a testimony of how COVID-19 is disproportionately impacting trans people worldwide, especially those most marginalised, such as Black and women of colour, sex workers, migrants, youth, and poor.

Behind the statistical representation of numbers and percentages, there are people whose lives we value and who we, as societies, failed to protect. Aggregated data indicates that Black and migrant trans women of colour are more vulnerable and frequently targeted. Social stigma and criminalisation of sex work expose trans sex workers to abuse, exploitation, and violence. At the same time, those groups are repeatedly silenced and underrepresented within our communities and societies.

Although COVID-19 affects us all, social differences and inequalities are deepened by the pandemic, emphasising gaps in lack of legislation and systemic protection of of trans and gender-diverse people.

by 36 and up, your “Beyond Expired” you have 15+ children and no money to provide for them… you spend your days on social media using guilt tripping black women because they’re a easy target that will forgive you at the end because “black kings need to be protected” but when they bring up the way black men treat women women your the first to comment “dont generalise all black men” while continuing to be that exact black man… it makes you feel good that you can be superior even in life somehow. you fantasize about the kings and queens of Egypt for absolutely no reason and swear you come from royalty simply because your a black man that needs to find meaning in his life… you call black women gold diggers simply for wanting money to help out with raising your child, you use that same anger on social media and blame black women for your shortcomings and the shortcomings of black men but disguise it as “my mom didnt know how to rise a man, women can be toxic too but yall dont want to have that conversation”… you grow old and lonely, the only people in your life are your friends who are as toxic as you and the black women whos lives you’ve ruined so deeply they feel they have no other choice but to stick with you, most of your kids dont speak to you, one of your son’s is a soundcloud rapper and talks about how much of a dead beat father you are… that shoutout to you, is your greatest accomplishment…

And before any of you simple minded niggas start with the ‘not all black men’ bullshit it IS YOU. And if it’s not you it’s YOUR friends. YOUR boys, YOUR homies, YOUR uncles and YOUR dads, YOUR nephews, YOUR sons, YOUR brothers and YOUR fucking cousins. So ITS YOU.

All y’all mfs can’t be innocent all of a sudden when black women are still getting murdered, still getting beaten, still getting sexually assaulted, still getting cheated on, still getting lied to, and still getting manupulated by the one demographic who has always done that to us, which is BLACK MEN.
