What Elijah & MC’s conflict should have been: Elijah found out that MC didn’t tell him about Ethan messing with his study and was upset that they chose Ethan over Elijah and his work.

What PB decided to make Elijah & MC’s conflict: Elijah unironically calls Ethan “the great Ethan Ramsey” and says he doesn’t trust your character because of the Mrs. Martinez incident, a situation that he fully supported you in and helped you commit.

So about Ethan’s kink...

Some of you know that I studied male sexuality and sexology in college. Very well said and I love to hear from an actually educated pov. Being my innocent little self I only bought the screen for the pillow talk at the end 😆 and had to do some high speed tapping for most of it but I am of course aware of what went down and it has frustrated me to see all of the kink shaming cos this is more than normal and pb surprisingly did write it in a respectful way.

My only issue was the circumstance of it and to me it seemed that pb treated it like, he’s mad so he has to take it out on MC instead of actually communicating. I would’ve preferred it to be without the trauma of the trial stuff and just have been a scene about him wanting to open up and let MC in on a part of his life that he doesn’t share very often. It did instead come across a little bit like he was taking out his anger on MC through the whole bondage thing which then paints it in a bit of a bad light. I felt it makes it seem more harmful than it actually is and is perpetuating a bit of a stigma?? But I can also imagine that kind of thing is a way for people to release emotions so maybe that was true to the bdsm community. Please correct me if my interpretation is misguided.

Again I had no problem with it really, for me and my Ethan interpretation it did come a little out of nowhere and in my taste I would avoid the scene of it weren’t for that fluffy talk at the end! But I of course can easily avoid it, it’s not hard. Anyway thank you for your input I get I’m probs too young to be engaging with this but I just am genuinely interested from that sociological pov. And I always love hearing your wisdom ❤️
