Man of the moment Keanu Reeves has shown his generosity by giving away £50 million of his earnings from the Matrix sequels. The 38-year-old decided to hand over the money to the unsung heroes of the sci-fi blockbusters - the costume and special effects teams.

Confirmed.  He’s also dumped millions into cancer research.  I really do love Keanu Reeves a lot.

Keanu Reeves is like the nicest person. He still lives in an apartment/flat and he gives most of his money away to charities and people who need it. He even invites some paparazzi people to sit down and eat with him when he’s at a coffee shop or restaurant. He’s such a nice person.

When I was working on the UWS, one of my delivery guys accidentally backed his scooter into a parked car in front of the restaurant. I went out to help, since the driver didn’t speak much English, and it turned out the car belonged to Keanu Reeves. He helped us pick the scooter up, and when I asked if we could exchange insurance information (because the front of the car was pretty banged up), he kept telling us not to worry about it and put his hand on the driver’s shoulder and said “I just want to make sure you’re okay, man. Are you okay?” And he was so sincere about it and so kind that I decided in that moment I would always defend Keanu Reeves at all costs. He is an excellent man.

I need to be more like Keanu Reeves because I’m evil compared to him.

My wife and I were dining at Nobu’s in Honolulu and sitting across from us was Keanu or at least I thought it was. We kept talking about whether it was him or not and finally, I decided to throw some old school Bill & Ted at him.

I stood up and threw my arms up into the motion of an air guitar, my wife is begging me to sit back down, and I pointed at the guy who may be Keanu Reeves, and said, “Most Excellent.”

He stood up and did it back at me. Then we both had a moment and pointed at each other. I sent him another of whatever it was he was drinking. It was a cucumber sake martini. That was the end of it.

Or so I thought.

He left before we finished our meal. By the time we were done, dessert came that we didn’t order. We thought, “oh, must be compliments of the chef.” Then the bill never came. When we asked for it, our waitress said Keanu Reeves took care of it.

IT WAS REALLY HIM. And he left a note. It said, “thanks for the refresh. Keanu.”

When I finally saw him again years later, because of work. I brought it up. Then he air guitar and said, “most excellent. I remember. At Nobu’s. Thanks for the drink.” We chatted a bit and I got an autograph for my mum because she’s a huge Keanu fan. Then that was that.

Back when I first moved to NYC, I got a job as a theater usher. We were all young, 18-20 or so, and it was heavily impressed upon us that we needed to treat the theatergoers with TOTAL respect at ALL times or risk our jobs. As such, we were all totally underprepared for the drunk guy who tried to steal a bottle of wine from the lobby bar during intermission. We were trying to politely get the bottle back, but he was growing loud and belligerent. Since the second act was now starting, this was a countdown to all of us being in trouble. 

Then Keanu walks up. Calmly charms the guy. Slips the usher behind the bar cash to cover the bottle, without the guy even noticing, and walks him back in to his seat like it’s a normal thing he does every day. He didn’t know the guy, didn’t know any of us, but effortlessly deescalated the situation and quite probably saved some jobs that night. 

Just a wandering do-gooder, this man.

My first true love… Gosh, he’s always been amazing in his acting, but he’s also been amazing in his niceness.

This has to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read in my entire life, and I’m not talking about Chris’ line (nor Katie’s).

That was SARCASM, Chris said it himself, and he didn’t even need to explain that actually, because anyone with brains should understand that he was being sarcastic about something the hateful portion of the Supercorp fandom do ALL THE FUCKING TIME, which is: ASSUMING KARA’S SEXUALITY BASED ON THEIR OWN PERCEPTION, IGNORING THE SHOW’S CANON, AND HARASSING THE CAST AND THE WRITERS BECAUSE OF THAT.

He was being clearly sarcastic because this happens to be the reason why he gets so much hate: Mon-El literally gets in the way of Supercorp shippers’ perception of Kara’s sexuality.

Please, go work on your comprehension skills before embarrassing yourself on the internet.

He made sure to clarify that he was being sarcastic. He said because we all know that your sexuality is about others’ perception…to be clear, I was being sarcastic. I know the knee jerk for you guys is to turn him into a monster. We see it here with both of you admitting you don’t understand it, but it must not be good. Like the default is that he was being mean. I am not sure if you missed the sarcastic part or if you are ignoring that part or if it is just adding to your confusion. So here is what he is saying: your sexuality is personal. You know what it is and it is independent of how others see you. Their perception does not determine your sexuality–you do. See he said the exact opposite sarcastically. It is like when someone says, “oh today is just the greatest day ever” sarcastically when they really mean that it has been awful. I hope this clears that confusion up. It definitely had nothing to do with Katie or trying to make people feel bad.

A Defense of Mon-El/Karamel

(Man I don’t even know why I bother with this stupid website. But here goes nothing…)

YOU GUYS ARE MISSING THE GODDAMN POINT

Supergirl, Kara, she’s about helping people. She’ll never, ever, turn her back on someone who she thinks she could save. She went back for Rhea and risked her own life in the hopes of reasoning with a woman who: killed her husband, imprisoned her son, and was in the process of destroying and enslaving the Earth. This woman, is the sort of person Kara believes she can help, she can save. Because it takes a lot for Kara Danvers to give up on you.

Mon-El was written for that quality of Kara’s. He’s a child of circumstance. He grew up a prince. He never wanted for anything. He was told he could do no wrong. He was brought up to lie, cheat, and deceive. He never knew anything other than selfishness. Even his own parents never truly cared about him. And he had no way of knowing there was any other way.

Kara Danvers is the only person capable of helping someone like that. And not only is she capable, but she wants to. Because she can see the good in everyone. AND SHE SUCCEEDED.

The last thing Mon-El said: “No matter where I go, I’m a better person because of you.” BECAUSE HE IS.

HE STARTED OUT AN ASSHOLE ON PURPOSE. IT WASN’T A “PROBLEM” THE WRITERS HAD. THEY WANTED TO PORTRAY THE INSPIRATION A PERSON WHO IS KIND AND LOVING AND CARING CAN GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO IS SELFISH AND ANGRY. BY INSISTING ON BEING THERE, BY INSISTING ON BELIEVING IN SOMEONE WHO WAS SO BROKEN BY CIRCUMSTANCE, THAT ANYONE ELSE WOULD JUST GIVE UP ON THEM.

In the end, he followed Kara through everything. He did what she wanted, even when it meant putting herself or him in danger. Even when it meant killing his mother. He helped defend the world he didn’t use to care about because it finally taught him what family and home should feel like. He told Kara to hit the button, even though it would mean he’d have to leave her and his home, because it was the only way to save the world from the people who had ruined him first. He sacrificed himself and sentenced himself to a lifetime of loneliness for Kara and Earth.

He became a better person because of her. And that’s beautiful.

TL;DR: Some people just need saving. There’s nothing wrong with that. We don’t all pop out perfect. We can’t all see the truth behind lies- especially if the lies are all you’ve ever known.

Watch Katie McGrath be embarrassed by her own fans at SDCC this year if they ask inappropriate questions to any of the Supergirl cast members. And yes, i understand that not all of you are that immature but there are people belonging to the SC fandom on twitter and tumblr planning to spew hate and even boo Chris Wood. Like really, y’all are stooping that low over a ship on a tv show??? I have been a part of many tv fandoms and i must say Supergirl has the absolute worst. Fans go as far as attacking characters, actors and even show runners, so much so that an actor called out one side of the fandom for being toxic, when he was just on the show for one episode. Imagine how the rest of the cast must feel at the daily hate some people spew at them. Y’all don’t have to like certain characters, but have some respect for the actors and people who work extremely hard year round to make this show. Oh and newsflash, no one is being forced to watch the show - if people have such a dislike for the show and new characters, feel free to stop watching and feel free to stop throwing hate as well. Ship whatever you want to ship, canon or not but stop throwing hate around. Even if ya’ll don’t have class, please ACT like you do at Comic Con and be respectful to everyone.

PLEASE don’t let the fact that Supercorp is my main Supergirl ship turn you off. WE ARE NOT ALL, TOXIC, ABUSIVE DICKS! I would never threaten the life of an actor because of a ROLE! The fact that some people in my fandom have done that makes me sick, and not even want to use my ship in tags anymore because im afraid of being jumped on by Karamels.

I may not agree with alot of the things Mon-El did, but that is NOT Chris’s fault. He was given a script and a paycheck. HE IS NOT MON-EL. I think Mon-El has great potential, and i hope they do him justice in Season 3. Me disliking how he was written has nothing to do with Lena or Supercorp.

To Karamel, please stop jumping on Supercorpers before you even know us. I love Chris Wood and everything he’s done. He is a phenomenal actor and a lovely person. I will NEVER disregard or discredit your ship. Hell, id be more than happy to let you fangirl/fanboy over it to me. By the sounds of it, Karamel will rise. Be happy that you get that. I know Supercorp isn’t real and will never be canon, but i enjoy pretending. Karamel is canon, enjoy it.

To Supercorp, do not ever make contact with me if you attack Chris and make threats. He is an ACTOR. He played a CHARACTER. He is a fucking person who does his job and gets paid either way whether it’s to be a gentleman or a misogynistic douche. To those who arnt completely fucking pressed enough to attack people for doing their job, i am so sorry that you get jumped on or abused. We have some real toxic people in our fandom and its shame they ruin it for the rest of us. I love you.
