People are full of words... But in the end, words and actions are sometimes in opposition. Cautiously Hear the words, but Trust the actions. Some have good intent, calming words, But their actions show that they really don't have the bandwidth to reconcile the two. It is, what it is... just flow. At least you know.

I always do my best to have my actions reflect my words.

And I’m really hoping my friend who’s got a guy who takes less than the minimal action, from my perspective, will really open her eyes and understand she’s worth much, much more time than coffee once a week or less.

My $10,000 idea someone needs to capitalize on…

A hairy chest temporary tattoo

Women can tattoo eyebrows, men can do the same with chest hair!

I learned how to drive on a manual transmission ♥️♥️

Manual is always the best option. I started on VWs… a Beetle convertible in the backyard, a Bus on the backroads (first time I drove past a cop, a few years under age with my dad in the passenger seat!), then my ‘74 Super Beetle - “Bart”.

But my favorite might have been my ‘73 MGB. Bart and the MGB are still my favorite cars. But oh so very different!

Older parents are tough.

Mom was born in ‘43 and dad ‘37.

Dad just got out of the hospital. Hospitals and healthcare for seniors SUCK. New technology doesn’t always work well, particularly in rural areas where my parents live… plus they’re seniors, recipe for disaster.

He was in, presumably for complications due to passing a gall stone, with an inflamed gall bladder that also inferred with the pancreas.

But this hospital has been trying to push my parents towards a retirement home. My dad doesn’t help his case because he’s a smartass. He considers his “jokes” an essential part of him and anyone who doesn’t get them, is just too damn slow. Unfortunately, when you’re 86, the difference between smartass and dementia is indiscernible. And hospitals DEFAULT to dementia.

One nurse was certain he needed his prostate removed, while later the doc said he had a perfectly healthy prostate. 😑. As a guy, FIND OUT WHAT A PROSTATE ACTUALLY DOES!

Parents getting old is no picnic.

Rant over.

….send me things to cheer me up please.

Alright. That’s enough.

Whoever has the voodoo doll of me, stop!

These cramps in my thighs were bad enough when I was trying to go to sleep. Having one thigh cramp up in a restaurant with co-workers who love giving me hell is another thing entirely!

I just realized…

Micro-managing is worrying about the pea when you’re trying to make a Pot Roast.

It’s that time of year again!

Last night was our first dress (except for the lead) rehearsal in the venue.

Thankfully it went well! Things have been a little bumpy and there’s still more details to fix/adjust before we open…

Skeletor needs padding on his shoulders

Need more cup liners for Act 2

Need grip strips for across the bridge

Need to send full (updated!) crew schedule to the next venue because a department head missed 2 positions.

And I’m sure there’s more but I just woke up.

It’s a little stressful being th TD of the show for the first time. And on the 50th anniversary to boot! But it’s been overall been good! For the stresses that have been there, new gems have appeared to help smooth things.

That being said, I’m tired 🥱.

Find the things that bring you joy and hold on to them. Not in a strangle hold, make room for others in the warm embrace because there will be plenty of days where things don’t go right, but the next may open your eyes in a new way to love it even more.
