haha, honestly I feel like I'm having a problem with not simplifying anatomy enough. I used to be much better at it. but honestly, it has a lot to do with trying to represent body parts or groups of muscles in as little shapes as possible. I also did that with lines as well. I would try to use one line to go as far as it could.

this is an old picture but it's one of my favorite drawings I've done where I tried really hard to simplify anatomy by getting as much mileage out of shapes and lines as possible. You can see here that the two shoulders are connected by one huge line.
