i meant to write up an intro post ages ago but here we are!!

his name is nathan(iel) sauveterre and he’s a few years younger than big boss; born in cannes, france right before the start of WWII. got separated from his family when he was a kid and toured a little bit with allied forces in france until the liberation of paris. went to med school to be a combat medic and spent years afterwards searching for a place to belong. veteran of the algerian war. resigned from the french army in 1962 and joined the americans as a volunteer in vietnam until c. 1972 when he heard about msf.
