"Wow! That was amazing." He hums breathless, moving to lay beside me. His toned body slick with sweat, and his hair a mess. He drapes his arm around me and pulls me close to him while he reaches for a cigarette on the nightstand beside the bed. I pull the sheet over our naked forms as we lay in the bed.
Billy brings the cigarette to his lips and flicks the lighter, he inhales the smoke into his lungs. I look over at the sweaty but handsome boy laying beside. "What?" He asks, giving me a smile as he looks over at me.
I shake my head as I smile turning my attention back to the ceiling. "Nothing."
"No, what?" He laughs taking another drag from his cigarette.
He smiles as he brings me closer to him, cigarette smoke lingering on his breath as he presses a sweet kiss to my lips. "I'm happy too, (Y/N)." He hums pressing a kiss to my nose.
Billy and I have a complicated relationship, we're not officially together, I guess we're more like friends with benefits but I don't care, as long as I'm with him I'm happy.
He looks over at me, his ocean eyes meeting mine. "I love you."
I smile as I lean over to press another kiss to his lips, moving my hands to cup his face. "And I love you."
Another day in hell at Hawkins high, classes have dragged by, I swear no time has passed since I arrived at school this morning. Luckily it was it was time for lunch and I could unwind for a bit and enjoy the company of my friends.
"So you going to the party tonight?" Steve asked draping his arm around my shoulders as we waited in the lunch line. Steve and I go way back, we've grown up together.
"Who's throwing a party now?" I ask furrowing my brows. There's been parties every night in Hawkins this week which was a bit odd, we were lucky to go to a party once a month but now their recurring and my different students.
"Are you going?" I ask as I grab my lunch trey, with questionable items on the plate.
Yeah definitely skipping lunch today.
"Of course... it's not like we get to party everyday straight." Steve smirked as I followed him to our usual table with our usual friends, Nancy, Johnathan and Robin.
"I don't know Steve... I went pretty hard the past few nights."
"You're such a party pooper."
I roll my eyes as I drop my bookbag by my chair before taking my seat between Steve and Robin. "Shut it Harrington."
"I just don't want you to be bored at home."
"Sometimes it does good to stay home and besides El is there and when dad is out working late I keep her company."
"Steve please just drop it. I'm not going to night, if you want you can come over and hang out at my place."
"Fine." Steve mumbled like a three year old who hasn't gotten their way.
"You're such a child, Harrington." Robin laughs, before taking a sip of her soda.
"Exhibit A, ladies and gentlemen." I laugh nudging Steve's elbow with mine causing Steve to mumble something under his breath while the group and I share a laugh. But my laughter quickly fades as I notice Billy Hargrove walk through the double doors of the cafeteria, his arm draped around Sarah Anderson. Billy smirks as he passes by our table his eyes meet mine then he turns his attention back to Sarah and whispers something in her ear, causing her to laugh that obnoxious laugh of her. My blood begins to boil and my stomach twists in knots as I watch the two of them walk into the lunch line, her arm draped around his waist and the two of them whisper and laugh together even share a kiss.
"(Y/N), (Y/N)!" Steve says drawing me out of my trance. I shake my head and turn my attention towards him. "Are you alright?"
"Will Billy be there?" I ask furrowing my brows as I look at the brunette beside me.
Steve runs a hand through his lushes locks and leans back in his chair shrugging his shoulders. "I guess... Hargrove never misses a party. Why?"
I shake my head and take a deep breath. "Just wondering."
Nobody knew about the secret I've been hiding for the past few months not even my best friend. Billy and I have been sneaking around having a fling, a silly and stupid little fling that should of never happened because, becuase Billy Hargrove is the type of boy that your mother warns you about and your father threatens to lock you in a room and throw away the key, because Billy Hargrove is a bad boy and he'll break your heart.
I was stupid to fall for his charming looks and flirtatious personality, and now I wish I never had. It seems as he's moved on, and found a new 'pet', and he didn't even tell me. I mean why would he? I was never his girlfriend even though I wish I was.
"Count me in for tonight Harrington." I say while I stand to my feet and walk towards the trash can, clearing my trey and placing it on top of the bin. I glance over my shoulder my eyes scanning the cafeteria until they lay upon him and his new girlfriend. A girlfriend he wasn't ashamed to hide away from the rest of the world.
The rest of the day seemed to fly by, maybe because I was lost in thought of Billy and the heartache I was feeling, and the wondering of why, why he didn't even tell me about him and Sarah?
The bell rang, school was over. Finally. I walked to my locker with books in hand, and began twisting the lock of the locker.
"Hey princess. Need a ride home?" Billy winked.
"Sure, Hargrove." I smile as I shut my locker, holding my books tight in hand as we walk through the bare hallway. He draped his arm around me and pulled me close, these were the time Billy didn't care to show a little affection at school because nobody was around. It was starting to grow on me that he wouldn't display any tyle of PDA during school hours, but Billy wasn't that type of guy even though I hoped he would change a little just for me.
"Your chariot awaits my lady." He smiles as he goes to open the passenger side door.
"Such a gentleman Hargrove."
"I have to be, to keep you around."
I smile as I approach the door. "I'm not going anywhere Hargrove."
"And neither am I, (Y/N). Now get in I want to take you somewhere special."
"Ready?" Steve asked walking into my bedroom and plopping down on my bed. He was dressed in his usual denim jacket and jeans with his hair styled in its usual messy but perfect main.
"Just about." I hum as I slip my last earring through my ear.
"You're getting awfully dolled up for another party."
I grab my jacket from my bed and slip it on my arms and over my shoulder. "And your point?" I ask raising a brow.
He shrugs his shoulders and stands to his feet. "Nothing." He laughs as he walks towards my bedroom door.
"No... tell me." I bark behind him.
"It's nothing (Y/N), now let's go before we're late."
"Who cares if we're late?" I huff rolling my eyes. "El, I'm leaving. Dad will he home soon and he already knows I'm going to a party with Steve. I left twenty bucks on the counter so if you and Max get hungry feel free to order a pizza. Okay?"
El and Max both nod. "Have fun." They grinned as I followed Steve out the front door, shutting it behind me.
The ride over to Tina's was pretty quick, and thank God for that because Steve was singing Material Girl very loudly and off key if I may add. "You really need to pick some new music to sing along too." I laughed as I climbed out of the passenger seat and shutting the door.
"Shut up, you just wish you had pipes like these." Steve winked wrapping his arms around my shoulders as we approached the bustling house. Everyone we knew must of been here, most of them already passed out drunk on the front lawn and the rest still partying and dancing. "Looks like a full house tonight." Steve whispered as we walked into the house.
"Yeah...." I nodded as I looked around the crowded room while I followed Steve over into the kitchen where the drinks were.
"One Steve concoction coming up." Steve smirked as he grabbed two solo cups and whatever booze was on hand. His drinks aren't particularly my favorite but they do the trick.
"BILLY!" Someone yelled catching my attention as I saw the formilar blonde haired boy walk into the house, dressed in his usual black leather jacket and half unbuttoned shirt underneath. His arm snaked around Sarah as they made their way through the crowd, it was like they were celebrities, everyone wanting to talk to them, take pictures with them. It was pretty sickening.
"One concoction for my best friend." Steve smiled handing me the cup. I brought the cup to my mouth and took a giant sip, damn near the whole thing. The alchohol tasted like shit and it burned as it went down my throat, but it's what I needed. I needed to forget about Billy and his new girlfriend. "Another." I barked as I handed my cup back to Steve.
"You're done already?" Steve asked surprised.
"Just give me another Steve. I need to let lose and have fun tonight. So another, please?"
"If that's what you want."
Two drinks quickly turned into five drinks and I was feeling pretty good. I didn't have a worry in my body, I didn't even have a single thought as Steve and I danced drunkenly on the crowded dance floor, singing as loud as we could to Shout at the Devil by Motley Crew. "I need another drink!" I yelled pointing to my cup while I pushed my way through the crowd to the drink table. Grabbing whatever bottle of booze there was and poured it into my cup.
"Hey!" A bubbly voice said as she bounced over to the drink table. She smiled as she poured herself a cup of whatever or as some would call it 'pure full' that was sitting in the punch bowl.
I furrowed my brows as I looked over to the girl, Sarah Anderson. She's perfect, which now I understand why Billy picked her. She's popular and gorgeous and head cheerleader. I was no dud but compared to her I was nothing. "Uh... hi?"
"You're (Y/N) Hopper right?"
I nod as I take a sip of my drink. Besides Sarah being pretty and popular I didn't understand why Billy would pick her? Her voice is perky and fake, ya know how mean girls talk well that's her. "Yup.."
"Really?" She giggles. "And you're Billy's friend too right?"
Billy's friend? Has he told her about me? Or us? "Sort of... I guess." I shrug. Why was she asking me all these strange questions, we've been going to school together since kindergarten and our school isn't that big. "Why are you asking all these questions Sarah? You've known me since kindergarten."
"Just making conversation, (Y/N). And besides I know about you and Billy and what you use to have... so I'm telling you know stay away from him. He's moved on to bigger and better things."
I furrowed my brows as I looked at the girl before me, anger, frustration, and heartbreak ran through my veins mixing with the alchohol flooding my blood. How could Billy tell her about us and our fling? But he didn't tell me about her? I clenched my fists in a tight ball, my nails digging into my palms, furrowing my brows I take a step closer to her closing the space between us. "You know Sarah, you think you're the best thing in this school. You think you're the most popular, the prettiest but you're not. You may be pretty on the inside but deep down you're ugly, the ugliest of them all. Now you won't want me to tell Billy about the football team will you? I know you've made your way around them twice, right? Or was it three times?" I growl as I take another step closer to her, causing her to take a step back. "That's what I thought. Now you may think I'm afraid of you but honey I'm not becuase I can take you anyday." I smirk as I grab a bottle of Jim Beam from the table. "See you around." I wink as I turn on my heels and walk towards the front door, that lead out to the back porch where most of the teens had migrated too.
"BILLY! BILLY!" They chant while Billy is doing a keg stand, chugging the beer like a pure pro. He's the Keg king, hell he has even taken Steve's title of king of Hawkins. I took a seat on the bench and unscrewed the top of the Whiskey bottle, bringing it to my lips I take a sip, the whiskey burned as it went down my throat. I watch as Billy stands to his feet, spitting beer out of his mouth, he had seemed to have lost his shirt and was left wearing his leather jacket and jeans. Any chance Billy gets he loves to show off that toned tan body of his. He takes a cigarette from Tommy's hand and inhales the smoke in his lungs.
"That's how you do it Hawkins! That's how you do it!" He shouts smirking and laughing.
I roll my eyes as I take another sip of alchohol, I'm sure I'm past my limit now but I want nothing to do with this night but forget about Billy and Sarah.
"You're such a hottie." Sarah smiles looping her arms around Billy's neck. He smiles and presses a steamy kiss to her lips, but his eyes seem to find mine.
I feel frozen as he pulls away from her, he looks down at her, and mumbles something then his eyes find mine once again and he starts to make his way towards me. My stomach flutters with butterflies as I watch him walk up the few steps of the porch, his boots heavy on the wood while he makes his way towards me. I take another long sip of the whiskey before placing the bottle by my feet, preparing myself for what's about to come.
"(Y/N)." He smiles as he takes a sit beside, my palms become clammy as I look over at him.
He looks down at his hands as if he's nervous in some way. "Great party, huh?"
I furrow my brows, did he really come over here to talk about this lame party? "Yeah... sure." I mumble, bringing the bottle to my lips once again.
"Haven't you had enough?"
I shrug my shoulders as I look at the boy beside me. "Why do you care?"
Billy brings his attention to me, his eyebrows furrowed. "Because I do (Y/N)."
I roll my eyes, the anger building in the pit of my stomach. "No you don't Hargrove. If you cared then you would of told me about Sarah instead of leaving me in the dark." I hissed. "I waited for you by my windows many nights hoping you would come by. I waited for you and all you did was left me hanging like your dirty laundry."
"No... I don't want to hear any of your bullshit excuses Hargrove. You told me you loved me, that you wouldn't leave me and now here we are. You drooling over some dumb bimbo and I'm here broken hesrted all because I fell in love with a bad boy who I thought would change just a little for me. But I was stupid. So stupid."
Billy shakes his head, he's probably pissed but now I don't give a shit. I'm not going to open my arms for him because he feels bad for what he has done. "Whatever (Y/N). I shouldn't of came over here. This was a mistake." He growls standing to his feet.
"You're damn right Hargrove! This was a mistake!" I huff standing to my feet. "You, me. Big fucking mistake."
The anger building, the words I would never say sober are being spilt right here in front of the whole school. All the talking stops, even the music gets turned down and all eyes are on the two of us. We're giving the entire school a show now. So I guess our secrets out now. Everybody knows I fucked Billy Hargrove.
His back stays turned, his fists clenched tightly so tightly I'm sure his hands have gone white. "So you have nothing to say now, Hargrove?" I spat, hoping for a reaction of any kind.
Billy stands tall as he walks down the steps of the porch, Sarah's eyes on me. Tears pull my eyes as I watch him wrap his arms around her, and begins to walk towards his car. "Fuck you, Billy Hargrove. You're just a piece of shit anyway. The two of you deserve eachother!" I yelled as I took another drink of the whiskey, while tears streamed down my cheeks. "What are you all fucking looking at?" I hiss as I make my way down the stares, the room begging to spin as the anger falls into sadness.
"What happened?" Steve asked running to my rescue as usual.
"Forget it, Steve... I just want to go home." I sob as I fall into my best friends arms, his embrace is warm and comforting as he helps me to his car. But deep down inside I'm wishing it was him, taking me home, comforting me in his arms, wishing it was Billy Hargrove.
