I did not end up writing it unfortunately

I went back and forth with it. It was just going to be a little snippet but then I realized I can never seem to keep things to snippets, and it would involve Mero being little again, and I kept the last two short stories of her all grown up since we’d just had a whole fic of her being small. Ultimately I decided to not do it, and that what I had already written was enough.

But basically it was the three of them (Sasaki, Miyano, and Mero) out together pretty shortly after Sasamiya officially get back together, so they’re out shopping and just spending some time together, especially to get Mero used to the new reality of her father being in a relationship. Miyano takes Mero into a sushi restaurant to bring her to the potty (he offered to do it) and as Sasaki is waiting outside for them, his ex-lover Gunner spots him and goes to say hello to him.

Sasaki is pretty stunned to see him. It’s been about 10 years since he’d seen him and they broke things off. Gunner is still insanely attractive with his gorgeous blond hair and blue eyes, kinda looking like Chris Hemsworth, and he seems pretty happy to see Sasaki. The memories of their affair come back to their minds, a time when they were both younger and carefree and weren’t looking for anything serious, but Gunner finds himself wondering what life would’ve been like for them if they HAD become serious. They chat for a bit while Sasaki continues to wait, and as soon as Gunner asks him if he’s seeing anyone, Mero comes running out of the restaurant calling for her papa. Gunner is very confused by this, considering the fact that it’s pretty obvious Sasaki procreated with a woman when Mero mentions her mommy. Gunner can also see the striking resemblance between father and daughter, so he knows Mero isn’t an adopted child.

Mero, as you can maybe imagine, is so thunderstruck by Gunner’s dashing good looks that she can barely speak haha. When she finds the strength to talk to him, she asks some childlike questions, like why he talks like them but doesn’t look like them and such. Gunner is very sweet to her and it almost makes her pass out. Miyano then shows up and Sasaki introduces him as his boyfriend. Gunner now knows Sasaki is taken and decides not to ask him out to dinner for old times sake, and is very happy that Sasaki is happy. He thinks Sasaki and Miyano look perfect together and is very glad he’s found love.

That was what I was going to write, but it didn’t make the final cut
