HEY

Hamilton: An American Musical portrays the founding fathers in a far more positive light than they deserve and neglects to mention the horrific impact these men had on both African Americans as a collective and the individual Black people they interacted with and portrays America through rose-tinted glasses

AND

Hamilton : An American Musical was instrumental in igniting a new wave of musical appreciation and modern musicals that sparked a generation's interest in history while also giving recognition and roles to incredible Actors and Actresses of color and is a musical masterpiece

Are opinions that can and should coexist. It's okay to be critical of the things you consume. It's encouraged even.

yknow i saw an article that was like “robert pattinson standing strong against the batman hate! :)” and im like. you fools. you absolute clowns. don’t you know who you’re dealing with? you realize this is the man who waded through all of the twilight hate? with stride? basically brushed it off of his shoulder immediately? even as a non twilight fan in the early 2000s i knew this man would never succumb to the words of the simple minded. batman criticism means nothing to him. he cannot be defeated now. youve cast the perfect impermeable wall. he’s too powerful and we’re at his mercy

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) confronted a CEO Thursday for pricing a drug designed to reduce the risk of HIV transmission at $8 in Australia but over $1,500 in the U.S.

“You’re the CEO of Gilead. Is it true that Gilead made $3 billion in profits from Truvada in 2018?” Ocasio-Cortez asked Gilead CEO Daniel O'Day.

“$3 billion in revenue,” he clarified.

The current list price is $2,000 a month in the United States, correct?“ she asked, referring to Truvada.

“It’s $1,780 in the United States,” O'Day responded.

“Why is it $8 in Australia?” Ocasio-Cortez countered.

“Truvada still has patent protection in the United States and in the rest of the world it is generic,” O'Day explained, adding, “It will be generically available in the United States as of September 2020.”

“I think it’s important here that we notice that we the public, we the people, developed this drug. We paid for this drug, we lead and developed all the patents to create Prep and then that patent has been privatized despite the fact that the patent is owned by the public, who refused to enforce it,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“There’s no reason this should be $2,000 a month. People are dying because of it and there’s no enforceable reason for it.”

Ace Comic Con Seattle June 28-Jul 1, just a few reminders for all the Marvel fans going

I better not see anything close to what happened last year not to call anyone out but DO NOT BE LIKE THOSE “EDuCatE yOurSelF” GIRLS they were an embarrassment to the fandom and made the whole environment uncomfortable for the celebs and the people who attended so please be kind and actually ask questions don’t get to the mic and say “can you say hi to my friend?” It’s inappropriate and inconsiderate to the guests and all the people who have legit questions.

And please, please, please, don’t say anything about Steve Rogers ending if you didn’t like it, Chris was given a script to go with it wasn’t his choice and maybe he liked the ending so please don’t make him feel bad or anxious about it (in addition please don’t ask him about his mental health in front of hundred of people, he already has anxiety from doing events like these) Also please don’t tell Jeremy Renner that Clint should have died instead of Natasha, again they are just actors given a script that they had to go through, it wasn’t their choice how it turned out

Please just have fun and be respectful to the guests
