Sorry for being quiet around here lately! I’ve been working on other blogs and such ahaha... This week I’ve got a few days of work, but I’ll try to keep my activity on Harley up as much as I can!

“Oh?” He really wasn’t all that impressed. After all everything about this guy simply exuded that his being was about contests, and Shin hardly had any interest in that sort of a world. However, he still obviously was now bound by small talk to engage in conversation. His hands would work diligently while he inquired further. “If that’s the case than what’s new? If something greats happened I’d think you’d be the kind of guy to brag about it…Am I wrong?”
“The guy to brag about it? Come now, sometimes it doesn’t have to be ‘bragged’ about, you know. I have just been improving with my acts lately, and I think that’s indeed something great.”
Well, he was right though. Indeed he would be the one bragging about it, would it have been great. Of course he hadn’t had amazing accomplishments lately, but he still wouldn’t give up, which was why he was trying to improve himself. Though... no one had to know that it hadn’t all worked out yet.

Drew starred at the other, his expression unphased as even he doubted the truthfulness in Harley’s words. Even if Solidad was particular fond of the older coordinator, Drew still didn’t see how that was even remotely possible. But it had been a while since he had seen the other coordinator. Maybe he had….changed in the slightest fragment. He’d see how long he could bother giving him a benefit of the doubt.
"I never said I needed help when it came to anything pertaining to May though,“ he stated before giving a small shrug. "But fine. Enlighten me for the moment, Harley. What advice, do you have?”
“Oh you don’t have to say you need help when it comes to that, I can already see you need help!”
He ran a hand through his hair before his hand rested on his hip, looking at the other with a satisfied smirk. He actually got the other to listen to him, not too bad. He certainly would have to remember this, as it would not often happen, he was sure of it.
“Oh I have plenty of advice. First of all, are you still giving her those roses? Surely, just one each time you meet up isn’t going to do it, hon. You should give her a bouquet at some point, just to make it special.”
“Being a gym leader is very demanding. Especially during this time of year, spring’s come so a lot of trainers have popped out and demanding challenges. Not that I’m personally disappointed.”
“I do love a good challenge after all.”
As the gym leader nodded, with a silent muse. “That is true, it’s the same for all trainers really.”
“Well, who doesn’t love a good challenge! I think that’s what most of us are aiming for, isn’t that right? I myself would want a good challenge, in which I will be the victor, of course.”
Though, he wouldn’t shy away from cheating as well, as he had shown quite a few times already -- yet he had never been caught so far. Surely, a good challenge was nice, but winning was even better.

His muscles tense as brows furrow, his expression becoming more serious as the evident flirting went on. As cliché and annoying it may be, it didn’t stop him from playing along. ❛ My card but, in case I need to spell it out for you, that number is for BUSINESS only. You don’t seem like the type to be interested in sponsorships or trades, so what is that you really want ? If it’s dinner you’re after, perhaps I could make some time in my schedule — ❜
He hadn’t quite expected a reaction like that, but it still wouldn’t refrain him from continuing his flirtatious comments. In fact, he showed him an innocent glance, though his voice was nothing but teasing.
“Oh my, was it too obvious, hon? I should work on it a little more, mmh? But.. to offer me something like dinner -- I could never refuse such an offer, now could I?”

“Don’t be ashamed,” she said, noting the expression on his face. “You really give me the chills in the best possible way. As for my Pokémon, I’m closest with my Glameow–we’ve trained together since before I was ten. It’s why I like to use her in battle rounds to get synchronity points–judges can always tell which Pokémon a handler is most connected with!”
Ashamed? Oh he most certainly wasn’t ashamed -- he would never do something to be ashamed of. In fact, he took great pride in his actions, no matter what it would be. Perhaps a little too much as well.
“Oh but I’m not only strongly connected with my Cacturne. In fact, I’m strongly connected with each and every one of my Pokémon. It’s something we work hard on, as communication and a strong bond is the key to success. Like that, mistakes are prevented.”
“It does seem so. I’ve been a tad busy lately, with all of my errands and such lately. I’ve been doing well though, thank you well. And how have you been, Harley?”
Norman failed to noticed the flirtatious tone and merely smiled treating the other with respect and kindness just as he normally did.
“Oh I can imagine! You must be such a busy man, and such a hard worker as well! But remind yourself there’s no need to stress yourself, hon. I’ve been doing great though, thank you! A lot of traveling, a lot of training... you know the drill.”
Though, he had done more traveling than training, as he was focused on finding a new team mate more. He needed someone new to impress the judges with.

“Didn’t think I’d ever see you again.” ‘Old friend’, was that really an appropriate term to be using to describe their relationship? Acquaintance’s really was the first thing which came to his mind but then again maybe that’s just because of how little they knew about each other. With a dull drawl in his tone he’d shift his attention back to brushing his Lopunny while asking. “How’ve things been for you?”
“Well isn’t it a nice surprise? At least you’ve got the honor to meet me once again! But things have been great for me, hon. Let’s just say that hard work pays off.”
Though it was actually the opposite. In fact, he hadn’t been making any progress lately, and certainly had a lot of work to do for the upcoming contests. It seemed that both the taste of the audience and the judges had changed, and not for the better.
